Podcast Description

We can see that the Mac market share is on the raise and more and more people are interested in Mac Development. CocoaCast had severed and continues to serve as a starting point for cocoa developers, however there is more to be said. Therefore we are announcing a new Podcast - CocoaCast Talk which will look at the news, events, your comments and other topics and discuss them from the developer’s perspective. There are many Mac news sites and podcasts around, however there none (that I’m aware of) that discusses the such topics from your, the developer perspective. This show will be audio-only and will be produced weekly (unless there are issues that prevent us to do that or there are no news that developers should be focusing on).

Customer Reviews

Promising but needs polish.

Promising start, content is good. But the production needs some polishing, there are many times that there is noise in the recording and it can be very distracting. Also it could do with some level checks to keep everyone at the same volume. I do not know if they have a trial run before recording or work to a list of topics but if not it might help with the flow and give a more professional feel to the shows. Thanks for taking the time to make the podcasts though, very much appreciated.

Not bad, but could use polish

The topics on the show are good and relevant, but this show could use some polish in production, organization and presentation. The many interruptions in mid-sentence need to stop (Episode 12 in particular). That's bad form if you are filling a kind of host role. The host should add comments last and just fill in the gaps and summarize what everyone else has said. I recommend the video casts from this group more than the talk episodes. There are better audio cocoa-related podcasts out there. In particular, see Phillippe Guitard's video casts on Aquatic Prime and Sparkle Frameworks.
