J, R, & J: See you at the Diner!
I just listened to the first six yesterday and today. I'm loving it. It's serious good clean fun. I am not in the industry but I am enjoying the insiders view. I am a life long comics fan and this podcast is like Understanding Comics Industry without Scott McCloud art, it's even better with the trihosts, Jamar, Rich, and John. Keep up the good work fellas, both on the page and off.
Smart(ish) talk from some real talents.
There's a ton of podcasts out there that do reviews of comics, news about comics, interviews with comic creators, but this is the first one I've found that actually offers up real insight into breaking into comics from the pros. This is the kind of one-on-one conversation you hope to have with someone at a convention or a signing, and, knowing John, Rich and Jamar, you probably could at that. But getting a weekly lesson, in the privacy of your own ears, certainly is a nice bit of convenience. The guys are funny (usually), smart, talented, and don't really hold too much back, so you can be sure that you're getting real, solid advice. And even if making comics isn't in your future, it's just a fun listen for your average fans as well. Highly recommended!

The Comic Book Diner fills that creative hunger pang with some fresh served insight with a side of hilarity! Rich provides some solid gold riffs, John brings in the cool jazzy horn section, and Jamar is the John Bonham of comics. This show is a great mix of casual talk and great info for the beginning creator all the way to the practicing pro. Hit up the Comic Book diner, one taste and you'll be back for more!
