Everything you need.
Started listening about a year or so ago when I saw it as "Staff's Favorites" or something on the iTunes store. One of the first episodes I listened to was when Bobby (fatboy) was running late. Once he arrived and was on air he unleashed this angry, hate-fueled tirade on Portland traffic that doesn't sound exciting, but it made me all tingly. The show itself has a fantastic structure with a different vibe for each day of the week. Somedays are filled with geekery and others with surprising insight on social issues. There's really something for everyone in this podcast where the the hosts are incredibly self aware and sometimes too critical of themselves. I imagine it's a great listen to for those who live in the Portland area since there is always an heads-up on local events, some which are also hosted by Cort and Fatboy. I listen from Indiana but never really feel like an outsider. Though, I do plan on moving to Portland so I can get in on Geek Trivia Night @ Vendetta and the Friday Midnight Movie @ The Baghdad.
All in all, a fantastic show that you need to start listening to. Now.
brothers in mediocrity!!
cort and fatboy bring the comedic heat EVERY day. first show i listen to as soon as it's updated. comedy talk radio at it's finest.
thank you guys for doing what you do.
For a fan of awesomeness
Their nothing you wont enjoy about Cort and Fatboy. They cover every facet of geek culture and go 10 steps beyond by having guests whose you've range from movies and comics to sex and self improvement (grain of salt) But don't think the vastness of topics dilutes the excellence, the best part of the numerous tangents and hilarious anecdotes is how much they all mean everything they say, you will find meaning, no matter how stupid, in every loving star wars reference. Their names are dumb though, if anything take their mediocrity as a cautionary tale. Do not name your kids Cort or Robert Roberts.
