Roy Plumley Could Never Have guessed!!

It is so wonderful to be able to get this as a podcast, Thank you Beeb! This program is just such perfect radio. All the presenters, past and present have had that unique skill of getting their guests to tell us much more than a TV chat show or printed interview would ever do. The eclectic mixes of music are just so enthralling and unexpected on many occasions ,Michael Caine recently, for example. Long may this program continue on podcast. If 'they' knew the work I had gone to so I could record them each week in the past.....!

Finally a Podcast!

Thank you so much for bringing DID to Podcast. I was first introduced to the program in about 1990 when I was a resident in London on a working visa as a teacher. Fond memories of listening to the program on Sunday mornings with tea/coffee and the paper in the garden. When returning to the USA, I had to find software to automatically record the program at 5:15 am while I was still tucked away. This new podcast makes it so much easier. :) This program mixes a love of music with interviews of influential people of all walks of life. DID gives you a personal look at the individual being interviewed and often you learn much about various genres of mucic and the artists that create the music. Great Program. Once you start listening you'll be hooked.

Desert Island Discs - Brilliant

The best programme on Radio 4. It gives you such an insight into the lives of the guests. As a Brit in the US, now I can listen to it as I drive to work.
