Podcast Description
For the better part of a decade, Despair, Inc. has been engaged in a fierce battle in the marketplace of ideas with the multi-billion dollar motivation industry. In 1998, Despair introduced the world to a darkly insightful line of motivation posters parodies known simply as Demotivators®. In 2004, Despair co-founder Dr. E.L. Kersten unveiled his landmark management book, "The Art of Demotivation"- a work quickly praised by Financial Times Management Columnist Lucy Kellaway as "the most daring, funny and subversive management book ever written". With the introduction of video podcasts, Despair opens a new front in the war on motivation- while simultaneously offering a tantalizing glimpse at life inside the company itself. Customer Reviews
A Polished Mocumentary with Bone-Dry Satire and Terrific Acting.
The episodes, so far, have greatly exceeded my expectations all the way around. This is the "Spinal Tap" of workplaces. I laughed out loud several times in each episode. I cringe at the thought of a manager/pointy-haired boss who actually takes the material to-heart and puts it into practice. "More please, Sir!"
Verrrrrry Unusual
We find here a true genius, a man far behind his time. It is humbling how much we lnow compared to this giant in the demotivating industry. I make it a point to read anything by this powerful man. For any birthday or holiday or funeral, I find myself thumbing through the catalogue or deeply involved in DESPAIR.COM. If you go to no other website, ever, go to DESPAIR.COM. Spend until your credit cards are maxed out. You will not regret it.
Enjoy.
Quite Entertaining
This video podcast is similar to the show "The Office", except that it's only from one person's perspective. Well worth the download.
