Podcast Description

Destructoid is the gaming show your mom warned you about. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, the crew behind Destructoid.com will break down the hottest stories of the day with little regard for personal feelings or karmic repercussions. Hosted by Max Scoville and Tara Long, Destructoid is everything you'd expect from the Dtoid team - with slightly more giant killer robot.

Bringing the Dtoid experience to video!

Now that they have a few shows under their belt, the Destructoid crew is putting out solid video entry into their legacy of great audio/ video downloadable content! Pulling stories right from their frontpage, and even including comments from the community, Destructoid presents a light hearted but committed view on games and gaming hobbyism.

While appearances by even more of the team would be great (Where's Chad?! He's AMAZING!), Holmes, Long, Sterling and Scoville have laid down an excellent ground work for what I hope will be a long running addition to this site's legacy of fun gaming fandom.

Squidbear?

While an okay show for gaming tid-bits, mediocre comedy and lack of content is annoying.

While an okay show for gaming tid-bits, mediocre comedy and lack of content is annoying.

While Destructoid is a decent video game news show, the co-hosts' struggle to be funny is very evident. The comedy almost seems pasted on. Lots of forced humor and awkward stuff thrown in Attack of the Show-style, although Destructoid isn't that show. It's Destructoid. Haven't you been paying attention?

On the informational side of this show, they do cover a wide variety of news topics, but not that wide, since this is just a visual presentation of only some of their articles on their website (which is actually an excellent gaming news site). This lack of content may be because they spend too much time on each topic. Pace yourselves and get onto the next bit of news (A.K.A. script your show better).

While an "okay" show to get your gaming tid-bits from, the mediocre comedy stands between you and your news: very annoying. If you really want better quality and more content, look somewhere else. Otherwise, if you want a visual supplement of the Destructoid site or if you don't mind the uncoolness, subscribe to this show.

Destructoid gets a three out of five.
