Excellent for Kids, Parents, and Teachers

These are podcasts of segments from the PBS children's TV series, DragonflyTV. The show features real kids having a lot of fun with their own science experiments, to a non-stop music track. The kids are amazing -- it's hard to believe they're not actors! And even adults can probably learn something new from what the kids find out. Plus, these videos could probably be turned into pretty good science fair projects. There aren't a lot of worthwhile podcasts for kids, so this series is definitely worth collecting. Highly recommended!

This is so cool!

I love this podcast because it gives me a lot of project ideas for school, and it's also just plain fun to watch!

excellent production and content

I still can't believe this is being made available as a "free" podcast. :-) This is professionally produced and edited (coming from someone who produced children's material for 21 yrs.). These are "average kids" who are made to feel totally at ease in front of the camera, making the program move right along with the upbeat camera shots, music, and spot-on timing. Every episode flows smoothly through each step of the experiment – asking questions, collecting data, reviewing the results and making a final conclusion. The data collecting becomes a fun, hands-on "adventure" in itself! Great source of ideas on how to "think outside the box" when coming up with our own everyday science projects for kids. Kids (and adults...) will love the show.
