Required listening to maintain your political sanity.
There's little more infuriating in today's political climate than listening to the countless lies spewing forth from the far-right. That's why I listen to Driftglass and Bluegal: their string of expletives is (ironically) some of the sanest, most dead-on accurate political commentary. And because they're not the mainstream's apologists, they're one of the only places you'll get the insights that history—not ideology—bring to the table. Driftglass's breadth and depth of knowledge is astounding, and Bluegal's nuanced perspectives are invaluable. Together, they make a team the mainstream media SHOULD ASPIRE TO, but will never reach, thanks to the very issues discussed on this podcast.
I hope these two podcasters will never find themselves beholden to anyone except themselves, ever.
