OFFICIAL RESPONSE FROM AGILENT AFTER INVESTIGATION: We have determined that a short on our LAN/VGA module is what caused the EEVblog unit to stop working. The short caused a resister on the acquisition board to fail, bringing down our 3.3V supply path and causing the unit to no longer boot. After further investigation, it was determined that a small run of early production LAN/VGA modules were susceptible to this short. Although the issue is relegated to this small initial run of LAN/VGA modules, we are replacing all LAN/VGA modules in customer hands and have implemented additional testing procedures on our LAN/VGA manufacturing line to eliminate this issue from happening again. Thanks to everyone at Agilent for taking this issue very seriously, investigating ASAP, taking preventative correction measures, and getting back to us! Electronics
Great stuff.... well thought out... and right to the point. I really enjoy the podcasts, very helpful material.
Awesome stuff!
This has to be the best technology podcast related to electronics engineering. As an Electrical Engineering student, I find the EEVBlog podcast VERY helpful in understanding stuff I only encountered theoretically in books. Even though some might find Dave's accent difficult to understand at first, it wont be a problem over time. Theese quirks are what make the podcast more natural and not sterile. All in all, a really awesome podcast that I recommend any one interested in Electrical engineering give a shot.
Finally!
I've been looking for a electronice podcast like this. Great podcast, great host.
