Podcast Description
Reggae's most transcendent and iconic figure, Bob Marley was the first Jamaican artist to achieve international superstardom, in the process introducing the music of his native island nation to the far-flung corners of the globe. Marley's music gave voice to the day-to-day struggles of the Jamaican experience, vividly capturing not only the plight of the country's impoverished and oppressed but also the devout spirituality that remains their source of strength. His songs of faith, devotion, and revolution created a legacy that continues to live on not only through the music of his extended family but also through generations of artists the world over touched by his genius. On this series, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Marley's masterpiece "Exodus" as well as showcase his timeless and brilliant music.

Simply Wonderful
It's nice to hear about a man who was so important to not just the music world, but the whole world from people who knew and respected him. It's a great way to keep his memory and message alive and I hope that you guys keep it up because every little thing is gonna be alright. The words of a man truly inspired by the goodness in the world around him. Please keep up the good work. Thanks.
absolutely wonderful
thankyou.
Interesting
Spooky puts a good spin on the Marley phenomenon. He's a great DJ and very different than I imagined. My 7 year old son expressed almost the same feelings as Spooky just in 7 year old language. I wasn't able to find anything that he really liked until I turned on Bob. He instantly perked up and asked "What's this?". He asked if Bob sang about the way he's feeling, in indeed I said (he picked up on both the honesty and sincerity of the music). He also added without having any real idea about politics that "Bod is very peaceful". The balance between love and power - Bob had it. Stir it up is the song he likes best. I'm teaching him to play the bass part. These are great please keep doing them. Thank you.
