TOP NOTCH BASEBALL INFORMATION- Too Good for ITUNES

I have been listening to Tony for 3 years now at MLB.COM. It is great to get 6 hours of programming a week from him. I always thought he would become the Co- Host of Under the Lights. He is the only guy with a Fantasy Baseball Podcast that sounds like a he actually played the game. He is not your sterotypically Fantasy Geek. He is edgy, insulting, fiery, and a progressive thinker. He does not follow the rankings of the others and often berates the mainstream media. Only the week minded could not appreciate the self proclaimed " Fantasy God." He is also respected by his industry peers. This is the only podcast that has guests such as Jonathan Mayo, Bob Kendrick of the Negro Hall of Fame, Pete Mc Carthy of Mlb.Com, Mike Siano, Cory Scwartz, Lenny Melnick...The guy takes calls during the show. Big Tony is truly an American Idol.

Not a great podcast

The show is basically an unabashed love letter to MLB.com's Fantasy 411 and filled with constant name-dropping of that show's hosts, whom this show's host seems to have some kind of fanboy crush on. Their defintiion of fantasy "advice" was reading directly from ESPN's team fantasy previews. How original! And the very few actual interesting parts of the show wind up getting overshadowed by the host's grating "BAHSTAN" accent. Although he did call out Matthew Berry as being a fraud, and that alone is worth a star. Also the sound qualityon the podcast is horrific. The show sounds like it's recorded in a phonebooth on a 1980's answering machine. On occassion it even just cuts out for a few seconds. If this is the "Fantasy Baseball Mafia," then I guess the mob truly is dead in this country.

TONY TONY TONY

How can you not love Tony from Jacksonville. He brings in some great guests. A host that gives you staight up talk, good or bad. I give the guy credit for speaking his opinions, some I agree with and some I don't. He's better than TMR who is over the top and drinks way to much kool-aid. Give Tony a chance. I think you will like the show, even if he mispronounces most names, but so does Lenny Melnick!
