Videos must be shot in Paris and last... a few seconds. ;-) Here is her message : "If you have only one afternoon available to visit the Louvre, it is possible to see it in its entirety but you must walk very quickly (running is even better but might arouse suspicion) . Do not stop to ponder any work of art no matter how magnificent, nor under any circumstances should you read any interpretive descriptions of said art. And skip the Mona Lisa - the crowds will slow you down and frankly, you know what she looks like. You must suppress your intellectual curiosity, succumb to your sensualist side, and be prepared for visual stimulation unlike any other. And very sore feet." Videos must be shot in Paris and last... a few seconds. ;-) Here is her message : "A street protest by a predominantly young crowd on rue de Rivoli in Paris in the vicinity of the Saint Paul metro station. This appeared to be a co-mingling of interests ranging from anti-war to AIDS causes. The atmosphere was friendly with live music from several bands and DJs that were part of the procession. There is also a special salute to President Bush in the video." Filmé par Sacha QS avec un Nokia N90. | 8/18/06 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 8/1/06 | Free | View In iTunes |

Awfull
Paris is such a wonderful place but this podcast is awful. There is no commentary or captions and the video quality is very poor. You have not done the most beautiful of all cities justice.
ahhh paris
this is so charming ... i love paris but can not always be there i would love to see more of the moments that make paris like inside the art gallerys or how about 15 seconds of light on a statue in luxembourg gardens? nonetheless .. this is a treasure
If you want to see the real thing...
10 May 06 I have no idea why there has not been a recent update, but I do know where the "real thing" is coming from. You can subscribe to it here if you just mouse down to the "P" section and click on "Paris Video Podcast de Memoire-Vive.org." I just got my update from the end of April. Sure, some of the stuff is a lot of talking "en français," but you still get to see a lot more stuff. And, if you're interested in learning or hearing French on the street, here it is! It's interesting to see these young people's points of view on what is happening in France and in the world. I rate this podcast down to two stars because folks here could not tell where to go to find the originals, and because, apparently, the caster could not keep up with the times. (I know that she or he is probably very busy, but then this would have been the time to point to the originating site....) I give two stars for good intentions.
