Filmographies – Soderbergh Pt. 1 | We're back, and with a new director. Steven Soderbergh. We go over his first three films 1989's Palme d'Or winner "Sex, Lies and Videotape." Then the rarely seen and sort of forgotten films, 1991's "Kafka" and 1993's "King of the Hill." It's another episode with agreements, disagreements and general lunacy. If you see these films or have opinions, let us know. We shall be back in a couple weeks with the next batch of films. Filmographies: Mission Impossible special | Between directors, we return to do our Mission Impossible special just in time for the newest film in the series. The interesting thing about these series of films is that it has four very distinct directors with for very distinctly different films. Some we like, some, not so much. But give a listen and discover with us what we thought. It's a good discussion with plenty of laughs. We also announce our newest director in the end of the show, who will be next for the Filmographies crew? And stay after the end for some discussion on "Drive". Enjoy! | 1/21/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

If you're gonna start with someone...
...start with John Carpenter. It's obvious these guys love the movies they're talking about, and it's even more obvious that they love to talk about them. Having seen most of the pictures they're discussing, it feels kind of like I'm sitting with a bunch of my funnier (and nerdier) friends going over how cool (or crappy) my favorite movies are. If only I could find this many people in my personal life who dig on Carpenter the way I do. Now, if they could just come out a little more regularly...of course, for free entertainment, as Jack Burton said to David Lopan, "Beggars can't be choosers"...
