Podcast Description

Financial Survival Radio is a weekly podcast designed to help listeners make sense of the ongoing worldwide economic collapse. While the show covers a wide range of business & finance topics, the main goal of each episode is to help people survive and thrive through the tough economic years ahead. In this new economy, who’s winning? Who’s losing? What’s changing? Financial Survival Radio keeps track of what’s happening in the economy, why it’s happening and what it all means to the everyday investor. It’s the mission behind Financial Survival Radio’s motto – “the network you need in the new economy.” The host of Financial Survival Radio, Jay Carter, draws upon his extensive experience in both broadcasting and business, along with a morbid fascination with the slow-motion breakdown of the United States’ consumption-and-leisure “FIRE” (Finance, Insurance, Real Estate) economy. While working as a news anchor and reporter for ABC, NBC and CBS affiliated television and radio stations in Texas and Louisiana, Jay has won numerous awards from the Associated Press and has received the Radio and Television News Directors Association’s Edward R. Murrow Award for excellence in journalism. For many years, Jay ran a successful residential real estate sales business in Austin, Texas and still continues to oversee his portfolio of precious metals and residential apartment units. He strongly urges everyone to convert their paper US Dollar savings into something of tangible value before it’s too late. Recently discussed topics include the Federal Reserve, Ben Bernanke, using gold silver and other precious metals to invest in real estate through inflation or hyperinflation, the mortgage meltdown, the state of the economy and the impending economic crash, and much more. Guests include hyperinflation expert Gonzalo Lira, silver expert John Christian of the stellaconcepts channel on YouTube, precious metals dealer Larry LaBorde; the foreclosure robosigning crisis and subsequent meltdown; Rich Dad Poor Dad author Robert Kiyosaki, financial analysit Reggie Middleton, Agora Financial analyst Addison Wiggin of The Daily Reckoning, "The Creature From Jekyll Island" author G. Edward Griffin, financial expert Catherine Austin Fitts and many more guests and topics to come.

Customer Reviews

Love it.

I have been a landlord for about 35 years. I have enjoyed these podcasts. Please make more! They have been interesting to listen to.

JIm Rogers Interview

Jay maybe the first jounalist that I've seen interview Jim Rogers and not misquote him. Typically I've found that journalists take a single sound bite from Jim and twist and turn it until it sez what they or the their network want it to say. Conversely, Jay seems to really strive to understand the message that Jim is trying to convey and in the process helps his listeners do the same.

Way to Go Jay!

Jay does a wonderful job of putting difficult subjects into terms that the everyday person can really understand. You can tell he has a lot of fun putting this work together. Great line up of guest, very good questions, he tells it how he sees it- not how the network wants you to see it, and a 30 min podcats gives the listener the ability to get some great info and not waste time.

Thanks Jay, always looking forward to your next show. I live in South Austin, so I love the local advice that you give from time to time. You help people understand how all of the major headlines of the finacial world affect them on a local level. Keep it up.
