CleanWhat to Do After Acting Insanely: A Lesson From David | 1 Sam 21:12 Now David took these words to heart, and was very much afraid of Achish the king of Gath. 13 So he changed his behavior before them, pretended madness in their hands, scratched on the doors of the gate, and let his saliva fall down on his beard. 14 Then Achish said to his servants, “Look, you see the man is insane. Why have you brought him to me? 15 Have I need of madmen, that you have brought this fellow to play the madman in my presence? Shall this fellow come into my house?” Psalm 34: 8 Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! 9 Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! CleanI am the Body of Christ | Our identity is both individual and collective. It is never either/or but both/and. Therefore, we can say, “I Am the Body of Christ.” AND we can say “We are the Body of Christ.” In Christ we find our purpose and unity within diversity Matt. 16:17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed[a] in heaven.” | 11/13/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanNavigating Your Course in Life | Good navigation requires a constant reference. It has to be a reference outside of ourselves. Ships on the sea used stars. Now we have GPS satellites, which provide have fixed coordinates. We use maps that are preprinted, which are fixed coordinates. People escaping slavery where helped by a network of people, white and black, who charted secret passage ways, including on boats and trains, to get people safely to the North. People like William Still, Levi Coffin, and Harriet Tubman helped thousands of people to escape slavery. On a clear night, they could use the North Star as a fixed coordinate for heading north. It was also a symbol of hope. As the earth rotates, stars appear to move across the sky, like the sun and moon during daytime Because the star that we call “North Star” is positioned above the axis of earth’s North Pole, the north star appears to not move. The technical name for this kind of star is a Polaris. All the other stars appear to rotate around it. Our North Star cannot be seen by people in the southern hemisphere. There is a Polaris for the southern hemisphere, but it’s too faith to see with the naked eye. The word of God is our reference. God’s word is our North Star and Polaris. The Name of Jesus is our authority and reference point. Just like the North Star provided an undisputed reference to travelers, the name of Jesus is above every other name. Trying to navigate your course in life without a fixed reference, is like setting out into woods without a compass or star map. 1 Pet. 4:7, The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Ancient sailors used the stars to navigate. They looked forward to the night, so that they could see the stars. Sometimes the darkest nights of your life can become the best opportunity to gain the clear direction from God. | 11/6/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanGod's Soldier, Warrior, Athlete, & Farmer | 2 Timothy 2:1 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 3 You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 5 And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. 6 The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops. 7 Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things. 8 Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel, 9 for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of chains; but the word of God is not chained. 10 Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. | 10/30/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanGod's Benefits Package, Pt. 1 | Hebrews 6:9 But, beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner. 10 For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. The word “saved” in the Bible does not mean one thing. The word “saved” is a loaded word and a loaded reality. The greek word for saved is “sozo.” It means, To save, keep safe and sound, to rescue from danger or destruction; to save a suffering one, to make well, heal, restore to health; to preserve one who is in danger of destruction, to save or rescue; to deliver from the penalties of the divine judgment; to save from the evils which obstruct the reception of the Messianic deliverance This is part of what the Hebrews writer refers to as “things that accompany salvation.” I call it “God’s Benefit Package” | 8/21/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanRemoving Barriers to Success | Removing obstacles has less to do with focusing on negative forces in and around your life and more to do with focusing on your own attitude, habits and preparation. Phil 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me There are three critical things we must do: 1) Forgive others and yourself 2) Change your thinking 3) Follow Instructions Forgive Heb. 12:14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: 15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; 16 lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. Detoxification defined: 1. the process of removing toxic substances or transforming them into something harmless 2. the treatment of an alcoholic or drug addict by controlled withdrawal of the toxic addictive substance. Toxin defined: any substance said to accumulate in the body that is considered to be harmful or poisonous to the system The toxin of self-will or idolatry poisons our heart. Psalm 51:10, Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 86:10, For You are great, and do wondrous things; You alone are God. 11] Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name. 12] I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And I will glorify Your name forevermore. Psalm 27:14, Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD! Psalm 34:18, The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. Renew Mind / Change Thinking Rom 12:1 (Message) 1-2 So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. What is a mindset? 1) It is a belief that affect somebody’s attitude. 2) Habitual or characteristic mental attitude that determines how you will interpret and respond to situations What is an attitude? 1) A personal view of something 2) Manner, disposition, feeling, position, etc., with regard to a person or thing; tendency or orientation of the mind: For example. If you get a poor grade on an exam and the teacher shows you exactly where you came short, simply being aware of the shortcomings won’t raise your grade. Follow Instructions Prov. 10:17 He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, But he who refuses correction goes astray. Prov. 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life, Prov. 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. Prov. 8:10 Receive my instruction, and not silver, And knowledge rather than choice gold; Prov. 12:1 Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, But he who hates correction is stupid. Prov. 15:32 He who disdains instruction despises his own soul, But he who heeds rebuke gets understanding. | 2/13/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanChange Your Mindset, Change Your Life | If we have changed after hearing the Word, it is because we have not renewed our minds. Our mindset much change for our conditions to change. If our thinking does not change, we don’t change. Rom 12:1 (NLT) And so, dear brothers and sisters,[a] I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.[b] 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. | 1/30/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanThe Perfecting Power of Your Anointed Assignment | 2CO 1:17, Therefore, when I was planning this, did I do it lightly? Or the things I plan, do I plan according to the flesh, that with me there should be Yes, Yes, and No, No? 18 But as God is faithful, our word to you was not Yes and No. 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes. 20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. 21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God Your assignment is the reason for your anointing. Your anointing is your God given ability to serve His purpose and fulfill your assignment. Your anointed assignment is more than the sum of your talents, education, connections and job. God can use all of this, but we cannot trust in it. We must trust in the same God who called us. People who have an anointed assignment become perfected by the instructions and discipline required by the assignment. Accepting and committing to your assignment changes your whole life. | 1/17/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanPrisoners of Hope | Prisoners of hope are believers in Jesus who recognize a limitation in their circumstances, but refuse to be limited in their expectations and actions. Too many people look at their circumstances and make the decision that they can do no more, or become no more than what they see. You should be glad that many of your forefathers and parents who were socially imprisoned by segregation and other bad policies didn’t believe that. Before the year 1900, black and white people who believed in education for blacks Zech 9: 2 Doom is certain for Hamath, near Damascus, and for the cities of Tyre and Sidon, though they are so clever. 11 “ As for you also, Because of the blood of your covenant, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit. 12 Return to the stronghold, You prisoners of hope. Even today I declare That I will restore double to you. Zechariah prophesied doom for the cities of Hamath, Tyre and Sidon, but hope for the people of God who dwelled in or near those cities. Abraham was a prisoner of hope who became the “father of faith” to us all. We learned about him last week in Romans 5. Look at how God inspired hope and faith in him. He’ll do the same for you. Hebrews 6:13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, 14 saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. 16 For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute. 17 Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, 18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. 19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. Prisoners of hope... Focus on the promises of God more than focusing on the conditions and circumstances around us Understand that the world is full of darkness, but know that they are full of light Keep their love warm even in a cold world Are not distracted from serving God by the pressures and activities of this world Have high expectations of good things to come Follow the example of our father of faith, Abraham, who hoped against hope and fulfilled God’s purpose in his life. Like Paul and Silas Have hope as a refuge and anchor for our souls. We are steady and steadfast in all conditions because Jesus has already entered the presence of God for us. | 11/7/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanHope in 3D - Expectation, Desire, Purpose | EXPECTATION - Hope in the first dimension looks like our reaction or response to circumstances. Our expectation or anticipation in the moment comes from whatever is inside of us. Things happen and we try to deal with it. People do something unexpected or situations arise that put us in a bind. This first dimension of hope will always be needed because you will always face situations that try to take your hope away. But this is not the only way to understand hope. DESIRE - Hope in the second dimension looks like the things we want, or what we want to happen. We sometimes refer to this hope as our “dreams,” “goals,” or “desires of our hearts.” This hope is like a picture we paint of the kind of life we want to live. It looks like a picture of a reality other than we are currently experiencing. This kind of hope can be healthy or unhealthy. This kind of hope is healthy when your hope is based on the Word of God and rooted in genuine faith that is willing to both trust and work towards the picture being painted. This kind of hope is unhealthy when we are doing little more than engaging in “pipe dreams,” “wishful thinking” and daydreaming because we are unwilling to take the steps necessary to receive the promise. This second dimension or aspect of hope is made health and active by faith in the grace of God. The same grace that brought salvation, justification and victory through tribulation, will produce the kind of character needed to sustain hope. Read Romans 5:1-5 Hope is more than a survival strategy. Hope is not only for the hopeless. Hope is more than a campaign slogan. Hope is substance. Hope is a picture. Hope is a sustaining power from the Spirit of God. Jesus is the true hope giver. PURPOSE - Hope in the third dimension looks like a mighty force for change and the emergence of greater purpose. This kind of hope shapes destiny and changes generations. This is kind of hope that Paul imparted to the Galatians. Col. 1:27 “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” The J.B. Philips transition reads, “Christ in you, the hope of all glorious things to come.” Rread Romans 4:16-19 Abraham was not simple trying to deal with a negative circumstance. He was not only tying to hand on to something he desired to have. Abraham was dealing with a promise from God. He was wrestling with something far bigger than what is mind could conceive. God not only promised him a son, but promised him that he would be the father of a many nations, and that through him every person in the earth, present and future, would be blessed. Key points from this text: Verse 17, as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”[d]) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did Strong hope and faith comes from the direct presence of God Verse 18, who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, 19And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. Strong hope permanently bends your expectation and anticipation away from the problems and towards the solution Verse 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. Strong Hope produces a faith that will make you stand and not waiver at God’s promise because you know that Christ in You is your hope glorious things to come. You become fully convinced and persuaded that God can and will perform what he has promised. Hope is: “Having Only Positive Expectations” | 10/31/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanCultivating a New Attitude | Jeremiah 29:1-15 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD , "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (NIV) 3 John 2, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. Prosperity God's way begins with a Promise and a purpose. The promise in Jeremiah’s prophecy is God plan to prosper his people after a long season of captivity. The promise in John’s opening statement in his letter to the churches is a prayer for prosperity in health and all of life. The purpose in Jeremiah’s prophecy is calling on God people to seek the Lord with their whole hearts. The purpose in John’s letter is prosperity of the soul, or inner life and character. Prosperity God’s way is always rooted in His promises and purposes. When people do not know God’s promise and are unaware of His purposes, they make poor choices and lose sight of Christ in day to day living. Cultivating a new attitude begins in the heart, but is made real in the soul. Your soul is your mind, will and emotions. Your soul represents what you think, what you do, and how you feel. Thinking, doing and feeling dominates our lives, so we had better seek to align our mind, will and emotions with the Lord. Again, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all the these things will be added to you. | 8/29/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanFind The Hammer: Using the Power of Focus | Focus: Keys to Holy Motivation I "Find the Hammer:" Using the Power of Focus Phil 3:12 NIV (1)Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but (2)I press on to (3)take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But (4)one thing I do: (5)Forgetting what is behind and (6)straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to (7)win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. 15All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. 16 Only (8)let us live up to what we have already attained. 17 (9)Join with others in (10)following my example, brothers, and take note of those who (11)live according to the pattern we gave you. In this text, Paul is sharing with the Philippian church, and all of us, his secret or philosophy of success. Paul endured a lot of suffering and challenges. He had experience many joyful highs, as well as many tragic lows. If every a man had a good excuse for complaining or quitting, it was Paul. Success is obedience to God and faithfulness to His purpose in your life. In our text, Paul shares at least 11 faith and action items. These items formed the core of His focus. He uses verbs, action words, to convey his philosophy and strategy of success in God. These are not words to hear. These are words to live by. "I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. CleanWhat Time Is It? | 7 Reasons Why You Should Value Time | Seven Reasons Why You Should Value Time 1. Time is holy (Redeem it). It is the gift of God. God's uses time. Gen 8:22 “While the earth remains,Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.” 2. Time is a covenant because we act together based on it. A covenant is a mutually binding association. 3. Time cannot be recovered because it only moves in one direction will not stop until Jesus returns. 4. Time (kairos) is the opportunity, occasion, season or set time of divine purpose.Time shows our attention to details. Luke 16:10 He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much." Time sets in motion the purposes of God in the earth: Luke 9:51, Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem. The devil looks for opportunities to work against us. Luke 4:13 Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time. 5. Time needs a plan: Definition of Plan: "A method of doing something that is worked out usually in some detail before it is begun and that may be written down in some form." Jesus operated with plans and purpose. He was very sensitive to His Father’s direction. Mark 1:35 Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. 36] And Simon and those who were with Him searched for Him. 37] When they found Him, they said to Him, "Everyone is looking for You." 38] But He said to them, "Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth." John 12:27 "Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? 'Father, save Me from this hour'? But for this purpose I came to this hour. 6. Time is the only way to seize an opportunity: 1 Peter 5:6, Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7. Time will run out. John 9:4, I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. | 2/28/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanThe Law of Change | Matt. 21:28"What do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first and said, 'Son, go and work today in the vineyard.’ 29" 'I will not,' he answered, but later he changed his mind and went. [change] 30"Then the father went to the other son and said the same thing. He answered, 'I will, sir,' but he did not go. [no change] 31"Which of the two did what his father wanted?" "The first," they answered. Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. 32For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him. Sometimes, people who claim to know God have the most difficulty changing. Why is this? It may be because we presume that our relationship with Him is so profound that we have somehow been elevated to a changeless state. Be careful that you do not start thinking that you don’t have to change. Someone once stated “The only constant in life is change.” Like many other common statements in life, when held up to the light of the word of God, this statement is not as obvious as it seems. The fact is this: There is good change and bad change. There is change that you need and change that you don’t need. There are things the must change and things that must not change. Sometimes change is genuine and sometimes change is staged. Definition of change verb | Make or become different; make or become a different substance entirely; transform; alter; take or use another instead of; move from one to another; remove (something dirty or faulty) and replace it with another of the same kind; The substitution of one thing for another. In our text, Jesus shares a parable about two sons. These two sons look amazingly like us and everyday people. I’ll call them Billy and Bob. When asked to go work in the vineyard, Billy said “No,” but later changed his mind and went. Bob said “Yes,” but did not go. Billy changed and Bob did not. Why did Billy change his mind? He changed his mind because he recognized that he had a responsibility and an obligation to his father. He respected and loved his father, more than his own unwillingness to work. Billy also recognized that working in the vineyard was a part of his purpose for that season in his life. Why did Bob say he would go and did not? It was Bob was a lazy liar. Bob represents one of the worse aspects of human nature. Not only does Bob not change, he tries to give the impression that he is faithful and committed. Bob is the kind of person that will waste your time, money and energy because, based on what he said, you prepare for him, but he doesn’t show up. Jesus uses this parable to admonish His own Jewish people who think there history and heritage somehow gives them an inroad to God ahead of others. The fact is that all people, Jews and Gentiles, people from Christians homes and people who are not from Christians homes, must CHANGE in order to follow God. In reality, what Billy did was REPENT. We know it because he changed his mind. The word repent literally means to “change one’s mind” and turn and go in another direction. If you are going to change for the better, you are going to have to do a lot of repenting. I’m not talking about repenting of sin like sinners, but repenting of disobedience, like disciples. Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life. Change occurs when we experience a convergence of three factors: 1) Our willingness to go in a new way 2) The light of God’s knowledge 3) Death of the old way The Law of Change: Everyone and everything that is short of God’s standard of perfection must change. God’s perfection provides us a firm foundation for change. We continue to grow and change until Jesus returns | 2/21/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanVision for 2010 | Filled With the Fullness of God | Ephesians 3:14 (NKJV) For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Our vision for 2010 continues to complete unfinished business from 2009. We rise above the challenges and setbacks former days to meet the hope and possibilities of today and tomorrow. CleanGrace Through Faith | The Good Fight of Faith I By Grace Through Faith Eph 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. 1 Tim. 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 2 Tim. 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. | 12/6/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanBenefits of Hearing After Listening | Mark 4:23 "If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear." 24] And He said to them, "Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. 25] For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him." Listening and hearing are not always the same thing. While listening is a function of our auditory organs to detect sound waves that register in our brain, hearing is a function of our will to understanding what is being said. The fact is: Many people do not hear in many areas of life spiritually, vocationally and relationally. Listening is a natural, physical ability, but hearing must be cultivated through training one’s heart and mind to grasp what is being said. Many scriptures declare the important of hearing. Faith itself comes by hearing; “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” (Rom. 10:17) Hearing is much more important than most people imagine. Hearing is obviously a necessary component in communication. Where our walk with God is concerned, hearing is all important: How you hear will determine the quality of your life How you hear will determine your level of authority and responsibility in life How you hear will determine the measure of God’s anointing on your life. Jesus said that one must have “ears to hear.” This indicates one’s willingness to hear instruction and direction. Jesus invites everyone, in one way or another, to hear and know Him, but He lets our response determine the degree of understanding and fruitfulness we experience. "And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. 48] He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him--the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day .(John 12:47) A lack of hearing, or hearing the wrong things, will cripple your ability to walk in the full blessing and opportunities of life. However, hearing and doing God's Word brings many benefits: Hearing determines aptitude (ability) “If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.” Hearing determines attitude (state of mind), "Take heed what [or how] you hear...” Hearing determines altitude (height) "With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given." | 11/29/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanGreat Grace | Great Grace is evidence of empowerment from God. Empowerment comes from relationship with God. Relationship with with God is cultivated by spending time with Him privately and corporately. The display of power and grace seen in the early church came as a direct result of their corporate time of waiting on God in the upper room. The display of power was in direct proportion to their relationship with God. | 11/22/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanGrace for Grace | Grace for Your Space | Grace for Grace | John 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’” 16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. | 11/16/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanGrace for Your Space | The grace of God is everything He has. Your space is everything you need. You have needs, and God has the supplies. God has given you grace for your space, and not just a little, but a lot! We need to better understand the grace of God and tap into it in a greater measure. In this text, what is the grace that Paul is talking about? It is the grace of giving and receiving! We all want to abound in faith, in speech or teaching/preaching, in knowledge, in diligence and in love. That’s all well and good. But the Bible says, “See that you abound in THIS GRACE (grace of giving) also.” 2 Corinthians 8 shows us seven blessings of the grace of God in the space of the believers at Macedonia. Realize that God can do the same for you. 1. Because of the grace of God, They had an abundance of joy. (v. 2) 2. Because of the grace of God they became more liberal and generous even while experiencing their own season of lack. (v. 2) 3. Because of the grace of God, their willingness exceeded their ability, God enabled them to take action regardless of their circumstances. (v. 3) 4. Because of the grace of God, they literally begged Paul to come and receive their gifts in support of relieving the suffering of other believers. (v. 4) 5. Because of the grace of God, they exceeded Paul’s expectations. They first gave themselves to the Lord, and then to Paul as God’s servant. (v. 5) 6. Because of the grace of God, their example inspired a larger and wealthier congregation to step up. (v. 6) 7. Because of the grace of God, the Macedonians redefined the practical meaning of grace as it related to giving and receiving. (v. 7) Ask God now to fill every space in your life with His grace! | 11/1/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanThe Power of Perfect Love | 1John 4:16, And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We live in a confused and troubled generation. While this has always been true in the past, it seems to ring more true today. Along with all the information tools that we have today such as e-mail, social media, 24 hour news and gossip media, cell phones and texting, and much more, has come a much greater opportunity to become distracted, discouraged, and deceived. The list of problems in our community and world is long. But the solution to all these problems is the same: the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God. Now this might seem like a simplistic statement. Even worse, it could sound like platitudes such as “Hold on to God’s unchanging hand” or “God works in mysterious ways” or “He won’t put more only you then you can bear.” | 10/18/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanCourage in Changing Times | One of the most important ingredients to future courage is to remember God’s help in achieving past victories. Our day to day activities, not just our dreams and desires, do more to shape our future courage, faith and faithfulness than anything else. Engaging with mediocre endeavors and negative people weakens our future and sets us up to succumb to discouragement. Moses built an altar and named it “Jehovan-Nissi, meaning “The Lord is my banner.” We use banners or billboards to promote an image, message or a promise. The image with Moses arms raised holding the “rod of God” inspired the army to victory. This image or banner became a mental model or visualization of victory for Joshua. From that day forward, when Joshua needed to have courage, he would allow the Lord to raise a banner in his heart and mind. VICTORY! FAITH! FAITHFULNESS! | 10/28/08 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanWalk on the Water | Walk on the Water How Jesus Increases Our Faith MAT 14:14-33 A. The Lecture: An explanation. Responding to Need stretches our faith. Compassion taps the miracle working power of God. 1. The disciples wanted to avoid the challenge of feeding the people 2. Jesus wanted to show them that God can produce multiplication and increase from our willingness to offer to Him whatever we have. 3. The miracle of provision feed some 15,000 people with 2 fish and 5 loaves 4. The disciples saw the miracle first hand. A miracle of provision and increase. 5. There we 12 baskets full of fragments of the meal [one for each of the doubtful disciples] B. The Lab: A demonstration. Jesus made them get into a boat and prepare to cross the lake. 1. He sent them on a “lab” to allow them to apply what they learning: “How God can produce multiplication and increase from our willingness to offer to Him whatever we have.” 2. Jesus stayed behind to have a time of prayer with God a. Notice his priorities vs. the priorities of His disciples b. Jesus was not concerned about how He would get across the lake c. It is not that He failed to have a plan, He simply trusted God to get Him where he needed to be. 3. They encountered a storm and Jesus was not with them. 4. At 3:00am, Jesus decided it was time to go, but He did not have a boat, so he started out walking 5. In the midst of the small storm, Jesus came walking on the water C. The Learning: A demonstration. Peter did something that no man had ever done. 1. This would not have happened without the experience of the miracle of provision earlier that day. 2. Peter had it in his heart and mind that Jesus is not bound by physical laws. For a moment, he tapped into the raw power of God and suspended his confidence in everything except God. 3. Peter walked on the water as long as he had confidence in the word “Come” a. He began to sink when he focused on the circumstances b. But Jesus was there to help him and rebuke him c. How did they get back to the boat? The walked! 4. We would not have any reservations about the things we could do if Jesus was physically with us. Jesus was training His disciples how to operate by faith in His unseen presence and power. a. From the beginning of His ministry Jesus knew that He would not be with them for long. b. Blessed are those who believe without seeing. We don’t want to be like doubting Thomas. D. The Lesson: An application. We too can “walk on water” in the circumstances of life 1. You can learn and gain confidence from the blessings and miracles that God has worked in your life 2. You can take the challenge to do the seemingly impossible (like feeding 15,000 people) 2. You can give to God everything He requires and receive everything you need in return 3. You can rise above the storms of life, and your fear of storms 4. You can get out of your little boat of comfort and complacency to do something extraordinary for God 5. You can overcome the doubts of others 6. You can take Jesus at His word when He says “Come”; suspend your fear, activate your faith 7. If you can believe all of this: You WILL go to a higher place of worship and realization of the awesome power of God. | 6/22/08 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanParable of Householder: Power of Balance | Matt: 13:52 (NLT) Then he added, “Every teacher of religious law who becomes a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a homeowner who brings from his storeroom new gems of truth as well as old.” 53 When Jesus had finished telling these stories and illustrations, he left that part of the country. 54 He returned to Nazareth, his hometown. When he taught there in the synagogue, everyone was amazed and said, “Where does he get this wisdom and the power to do miracles?” 55 Then they scoffed, “He’s just the carpenter’s son, and we know Mary, his mother, and his brothers—James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas. 56 All his sisters live right here among us. Where did he learn all these things?” 57 And they were deeply offended and refused to believe in him. Then Jesus told them, “A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his own family.” 58 And so he did only a few miracles there because of their unbelief. This eighth and final parable in Matt 13 wraps up the teaching on the Kingdom of God that Jesus delivered. It was necessary that His disciples understand the difference between living in the reality of the Kingdom and simply living in the selfish decisions of life. As with all the other parables, Jesus used commonly understood objects to teach spiritual truth. A householder is someone who owns or rents a home; a homeowner. Everyone understands the significance and obligations of being a property owner. People of the kingdom also have significance and obligations. These are not a burden, but a blessing. | 11/20/06 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanParable of Treasure: The Power of Value | Matthew 13:44 (Amplified Bible) The kingdom of heaven is like something precious buried in a field, which a man found and hid again; then in his joy he goes and sells all he has and buys that field. Matthew 13:44 (New Living Translation) “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field. In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything he owned to get enough money to buy the field. Value is defined as: the worth, importance, or usefulness of something. The verb is definded as: to rate something according to its perceived worth, importance, or usefulness. Jesus said, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matt. 6:21) We follow what we value. We are going in the direction of what we value. We make our choices based on the value we place on things and people. We are driven by value, or the worth, importance, or usefulness of things natural and spiritual. | 10/29/06 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanParable of Tares: The Power of Challenge | Life brings many challenges and rewards. As people that follow Jesus Christ, we are a part of God’s kingdom, or the King’s domain. At the same time we are part of this present world with all of its possibilities and pitfalls. As people of God, we are not exempt from temptation and challenge. But we have God-given position, power and privilege that enables us to overcome negative circumstances. We also the power to avoid the counterfeit and embrace the genuine The parable of the Wheat and the Tares shows us the power of challenge. Challenge is defined: A situation that tests somebody’s abilities. When it is all said and done, we will be those that Jesus identifies in Matthew 13:43, Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Clean3 Keys to Manifesting the Peace of God | Philippians 4 (New Living Translation) 6 Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. 8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, let me say one more thing as I close this letter. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9 Keep putting into practice all you learned from me and heard from me and saw me doing, and the God of peace will be with you. INTRODUCTION: Peace is one of those words that everyone understands in their own world of experience. When you hear the word “peace” what do you think about? Do you think about how you feel on the inside? Do you think about the status of relationships in your life? Do you think about the war in Iraq? Do you think about Jesus as the Prince of peace? Do you think about hippies, tie-dyed shirts and peace signs from the 1970’s (show peace sign)? Peace is personal reality. Peace is a powerful revelation. But peace can be fragile and is often conditional. Peace is usually the benefit or result of doing something else first. Having peace and walking in peace with others requires faith and action. Above all, peace is a promise from God. It is a promise that you both deserve and need. Last week we talked about how worry, in all its subtle forms, comes to steal away your peace. Today, we will learn how to manifest the peace of God at all times and under any circumstances. This message will follow a simple three-point outline. We are going to learn about the: 1. Characteristics that Cultivate Peace 2. Roles that Release Peace 3. Modes that Manifest Peace | 7/10/06 | Free | View In iTunes |

PRO 1:8, My son, hear the instruction of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother; A. A Father’s Destiny (Purpose) Fathers instruct, mothers impart the law of God. Instructions and principles form the basic tools for building anything, including a life. “Law” speaks of what to do. “Instruction” speaks of what to do. 1. He is destined to bring correction and Instruction a. HEB 12:9, “Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?” b. Correction from a father prepares children to accept God’s correction 2. He is destined to be admired by his children and grandchildren. B. A Father’s Design Fathers, like Adam, the “father” of Eden, are developed by divine instruction and maximized (brought to fullness) through action in divine purpose. Gen. 1:26, 2:8-15 1. He is designed to reflect Father God’s: • Image (Character) • Likeness (Manner) • Dominion (Action) 2. He is designed to cultivate (tend and keep) the purpose of God in sons and daughters EPH 6:4, And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord. 3. He is designed to Reflect Christlikeness and Remove any curse Gal. 3: 13, Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"[2] ), 14that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Numbers 14:17, And now, I pray, let the power of my Lord be great, just as You have spoken, saying, 18 "The LORD is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.' 19 Pardon the iniquity of this people, I pray, according to the greatness of Your mercy, just as You have forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now." C. A Father’s Duty Fathers are gateways to provision, protection and power. “In the gates…” Jer. 17:19, Thus the LORD said to me: "Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, by which the kings of Judah come in and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem; 20and say to them, "Hear the word of the LORD, you kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, who enter by these gates. 1. His duty is to lead the way (Not like Samuel 1 Sam. 8:1-3 “Our father which art inactive”) 2. His duty is to overcome obstacles and build for the future a. Nehemiah 4:14, “And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, "Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses." 3. His duty is to set standards that children and others should follow a. CleanBehold the Lamb of God | Message Worksheet Name: Bryan Hudson Type of Message: [ ] Topical [ X ] Expository: Scripture Text: John 1:29-39 My Title: Behold the Lamb of God: From Promise to Preeminence My Theme: The challenges and blessings of following Jesus as the preeminent person and power of the universe My Purpose: To help people understand the necessity of following Jesus more than following anything or anyone else. To show how a great man like John the Baptist, who had followers, could put Jesus first and send his people to Him Introduction Technique Used: Four things known to exist: Time, Space, Energy, Matter, Show how one of the greatest minds that ever lived, Albert Einstein, spent, some say wasted, the second half of his life looking for a theory to explain all other theories, a “unified field theory.” He never found it. Often times we live in frustration because we search for things, and the purpose of those things, that we cannot find. Body: • Main Point 1: Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away sin: what does this mean? Passover lamb: Suggests deliverance Morning/evening offering of imperfect lambs in temple for sins: Suggests one perfect offering Lamb to slaughter (Is. 53): Suggests death A horned lamb was the symbol of victory used by the Maccabees (In 164 BCE, By the end of the war, they ushered in an 80-year period of Jewish independence.): Jesus was the champion of God who fought with sin and mastered it in single contest. “Lamb” used 21 times in revelation It is a word that sums up Jesus’ work, In one word it sums up the love, the sacrifice, the suffering and the triumph of Christ. • Main Point 2: John, like so many other things, was the center of attention until Jesus came AMP] 31, This is He of Whom I said, After me comes a Man Who has priority over me [Who takes rank above me] because He was before me and existed before I did. Jesus is preeminent Colossians 1:17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. John was Jesus’ cousin. He knew who he was, but he did not know “what” he was until He was baptized and the Spirit of God came upon him and stayed. • Main Point 3: When Jesus comes, everyone and everything shifts to serve the Lordship and preeminence of Jesus. 30 This is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ 31 I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water. John exalted Jesus in a way that cause his disciple to follow Him. John knew that he was not the center of attraction. He was the one who drew back the curtain to show the world the main attraction, Jesus. This is the reason why as a baby in Elizabeth’s womb, he reacted to the presence of Jesus in the womb of Mary when the two women met (Luke 1:41). John responded then and he responded now. 37 The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. 38 Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?” What do you want?” This was a customary respond my a Rabbi or teacher. Students had to show their willingness and eagerness to learn. Jesus didn’t have time for people who just wanted to “hang out” with Him.” “Where are you staying?” Not a question about His accommodations, but a request to be committed to Jesus leadership. “Come and see” We would say, “Let’s roll.” It sounds simple, but it’s more like joining the army during a time of war. Army: “Be all you can be.” Air Force: “Aim High.” Marines: “Looking for a few good men.” When Jesus says, “Come and See,” you are entering the learning zone, followed by the battle zone, followed by the victory zone. • Illustration: Did you know that the 747 jet that is used to transport the President is not really called Air F | 4/9/06 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanOut From Under Circumstances | INTRODUCTION: When asked, “How are you?” We usually respond from the perspective of circumstances. Some people say, “I guess I’m okay under the circumstances.” Others know better than to say “under the circumstance” but are still dominated in their thinking and reporting by adverse circumstances. We need to learn how to accept the reality of circumstances, but to then move immediately to getting out from under them. We need to learn about and practice true contentment. We also need to learn how to get past simply living as victims of circumstances and become victors through setting conditions and victory and success. Circumstance defined: A condition that affects what happens or how somebody reacts in a particular situation (usually used in the plural) 2. the conditions that affect somebody’s life and that are beyond his or her control 3. an event or occurrence (formal) 4. the way an event happens or develops There are two kinds of conditions: 1) Conditions which occur beyond our control. 2) Conditions which we set (more about this later). Condition defined: Something that is necessary for something else to happen, for example, to bring a circumstance about. Content (verb) as commonly defined: to accept or make do with something, rather than taking further action or making more demands. Content as a biblical contextual definition: Peacefully satisfied with what you have done or achieved in regards to circumstances You cannot control all circumstances, though you can greatly affect them. Discontent is a disease of the soul. It is often personal incompetence, laziness or failure to acknowledge mistakes parading as finding fault with others. People on jobs sometimes say, “I’m not happy here anymore. My needs are not being met. I need to move on.” That sounds like a pouting, self-centered, child who neglected his chores and wants to blame the parents We should not react to circumstances, but respond from conditions set by contentment. Example: If a major league threw a 95 mph fastball in your direction, you would duck or run away. If he threw it toward Barry Bonds, he would try to hit it out of the park. For you, the fastball is a circumstance because you don’t play baseball. For Bonds it is a condition for which he has prepared through contentment. Five Keys to setting conditions that lead to contentment: 1. Foundation: Prayer / Worship / Holiness / Obedience “Pray and not faith…” 2. Revelation: A “rhema” Word Romans 10:17, So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Faith begins where the will of God is known 3. Impartation: Faith Matthew 17:20, So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, "Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. With faith, nothing shall be impossible (cannot exist and cannot be done), though it may seem improbable (not likely to happen or be true) to you. The possibility or impossibility of something is a judge call that we make based on our understanding of circumstances. God does not live in our circumstances. Faith is a condition to hope. It is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith is one of the most important condition to positively affecting your circumstances 4. Dedication: Patience / Perseverance (NKJV) Hebrews 10 35] Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36] For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: (NIV) Hebrews 10: 35, So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. 36You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. 37For in just a very little while, "He who is coming will come and will not delay. 38] But my righteous one[6] will live by faith. CleanThe God Kind of Change | Life Change II The God Kind of Change Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ,[a] for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”[b] The kind of change that is healthy is that which takes one from “faith to faith” (Rom. 1:6), “grace to grace” (John 1:16), and “glory to glory” (2 Cor. 3:18). This kind of change is what the Bible calls “transformation.” “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed [changed] into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2 Cor. 3:18) Changed is healthy when at least three things occur: 1. When it is initiated by God, not a reaction to circumstances, perceptions or opinions. 2. When it fulfills a prior desire, vision or promise from God. 3. When it seeks to edify the church and bring life to people who are lost in sin. Faith to Faith Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ,[a] for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”[b] Romans 1: 17 (AMP), For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith. Grace for Grace John 1: 15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’” 16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Glory to Glory 2 Corinthians 3:18, And all of us have had that veil removed so that we can be mirrors that brightly reflect[a] the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more. The Way You Want Grow Not “tossed,” but “taught” Not “tricked,” but “trained” Not “isolated,” but “included” Not “waiting,” but “working” Ephesians 4: 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. Grow through the use of “pure” ingredients 1 Peter 2: 1 Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, 2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,[a] 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious. | 1/17/06 | Free | View In iTunes |
