Inspiring
At the core of every photographic artist is the need to be inspired, and this Podcast focuses on that core in a down-to-earth, conversational manner that is extremely enjoyable. Scott is a fantastic host and does an excellent job at asking thoughtful, probing questions of the guests. Really, one of the best photography podcasts out there!
the right stuff
Scott has this brand new podcast running smooth right from the start. Great pacing... excellent questions... and interesting people on the other side of the microphone. A new regular on my play list.
A Unique Approach
This podcast reaches into a different arena with photographers, and it is one that I am really drawn to. Beyond the question of "why do you shoot what you do" are the more insightful questions of "how do you live an artful life", and "how did you get to where you want to shoot the pictures that you do?" I find myself listening to the stories of these photographers and before I know it, the disarmingly conversational approach has me re-thinking my own methods to not just photography, but to other visual media, and to other forms of "living an artful life". Art really does reach out in a number of ways, and Scott Anderson has found an interview style that reaches out to photographers in a way that exposes what is often their multi-faceted artistic expressions of their lives, and in their own words. I am really looking forward to hearing from other photographers, and to possibly seeing this concept expand to other artists! Nicely done!
