Good for people who have never studied French before.

The phrases given in this course are quite basic, and while I agree they will help a person traveling in a French speaking country, the phrases do not go far enough. The gentleman instructing the course has a good accent, and for someone who has never studied French before, the fact he breaks down each phrase will help. In addition, the fact that he often breaks down each word for pronuciation purposes is a good thing. This is a good beginning for someone who has never studied French before at all, but for someone like me who has studied before, it might not be the best course out there. I would use this course in addition to some of the other French Podcasts that are available.

Magnifique!

I have studied French and French Literature for many years. I sampled this podcast to see how good and useful it really is. Ooh la la! This podcast is packed with extremely useful phrases and expressions indeed. For non-french speakers, natives, and the like... this podcast breaks down each lesson and then explore the pronounciation of the expression(s) or phrase(s) that are being examined. After exploring pronounciation, there is a lesson review that explains when and how to use the expression/phrase at hand. It's wonderful! A must listen for all levels! Je suis très heureuse!!!

I'm a second year French student, but I still find this podcast to be very useful. I'm going to college next year, and am required to take two years of a foreign language for my sociology classes. I'm going to be using these podcasts to catch me up on the little things that can sometimes be forgotten. Merci beaucoup! J'adore SurvivalPharases.com!!!!
