| 14 | CleanVideoGrisly Zone (Video) 021: The Devil’s Rock With Katie Rots | On this episode of Grisly Zone, Katie ROTS, the owner of Rotten Rantings and a half host of Splatter Matters joins us for some intense debates on the main review. The video connection with Katie was weak, which exhibited vastly diminished pictures that caused many artifacts, blurriness and splotches, this led to poor audio/video quality on this show. This weeks featured movie is a UK horror-thriller called The Devil’s Rock. This is a dated piece, set back in the 40’s that stars Craig Hall, an Australian actor who is most known for his role in 30 Days Of Night. The Devil’s Rock was released on DVD on February 14th of this year. The show closed with the wrap-up segment where ChrisiFix throws out a rental recommendation, and our guest, Katie ROTS suggests The Grey, a film playing in theaters that stars Liam Neeson. | 16 | CleanVideoGrisly Zone (Video) 019: Killer By Nature With Corey And Boss | Yet again we were anticipating a 4-way video explosion for you fans, but Skype glitches affected the outcome. We did have all 4 on for a whopping 3 minutes, but sad to say, ChrisiFix’s video froze, but you still get her voice and thoughts throughout the whole episode. Boss Butcher from Terror Troop returns to Grisly Zone again! We love having the “Beautiful Man” (you must watch to find out the analogy) on the show. And for the first time on Grisly Zone, Midnight Corey, the leader of The Weekly Horror Movie Podcast makes his debut on the show! We thank both of the Horror Palace Network hosts for joining us. The featured review this week is on Killer By Nature, a crime-drama-horror movie that stars several people you will recognize including; Ron Perlman, Armand Assante, Lin Shaye and Richard Riehle. Killer By Nature was released today, February 14th on the DVD format. The “Screamingly Scary Short Of The Week” is a psychological, horror-thriller called “The Southern Belle” which runs for approximately 10 minutes. It was produced, written and directed by a talented staff of New York filmmakers at Bora Bora Films. You can also follow the production studios progress on Twitter. The two guests roll in with some recommendations during the show wrap-up segment. Boss Butcher has been a theater-goer as of late and was excited with The Lady In Black, a dated piece that involves ghosts. | 17 | CleanVideoGrisly Zone (Video) 018: The Thing Prequel With Boss Butcher | We were anticipating a 4-way video barrage this episode, but we had some connection issues with one of the hosts. Don’t fret because for your viewing pleasure we bring you yet another 3-way episode with one of the podcast owners right here on the Horror Palace Network. Our special guest is the vampire guru Boss Butcher from Terror Troop. Boss brought his flare to Grisly Zone and we appreciate him taking the time out of his busy schedule to join us for an episode. The vampire connoisseur also has a blog, check it out if you have some free time. The featured review this week is on a prequel, The Thing, which stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead. This film was expected to bring in the big dough because of the sensational, SciFi-Horror megahit from 1982 by John Carpenter, but it did not. The Thing was released on DVD and BluRay on January 31st. We did preempt the DVD Recommendations this week due to time constraints, but what we have for you is a good 20 minutes of discussing similarities, differences and ratings with the original The Thing with Kurt Russell. The show wrap-up segment features BillChete recommending a theater-watch for Underworld 4: Awakening and Boss Butcher describes a horror anthology slated for a release in the next few months called The Theatre Bizarre. | 19 | CleanVideoGrisly Zone (Video) 016: The Woman And 3-Way Video | Grisly Zone is pleased to present to you, for the first time ever in internet broadcasting on horror movies, a 3-way video episode. This is also our longest episode ever, and for the fans we kept the file size under 700MB so you can rip the video straight to CD. Our special guest is none other than Craig “Terror” Tovey from The Weekly Horror Movie Podcast and The Songwriting Podcast. We thank him graciously for coming on the show during the trials and tribulations of this premier video. You can reach Terror by Email. Give him a shout-out if you have a second. The featured, lengthy and most in-depth review to date on Grisly Zone is on a Jack Ketchum novel converted to film titled “The Woman” which is a sequel of sorts to the 2009 horror film Offspring. The movie stars Pollyanna McIntosh who plays a mutant, cannibal, or maybe a mountain woman brought up by wolves. You need to watch and listen to find out the story. The Woman was just released on DVD and BluRay on January 24th. DVD Recommendations this week follow suit with BillChete choosing an awesome Slasher and ChrisiFix picking an After Dark Film from 2009 that has a psychological, ghost style slant. Terror even throws out a recommendation for the fans. The show wrap-up brings more reviews by the way of Hostel: Part III, Attack The Block and Blood Runs Cold. All horror movies that were suggested previously with the hosts bringing their own takes. | 20 | CleanVideoGrisly Zone (Video) 015: Undocumented And Lanrete | We are bringing you a longer than normal episode this week as we had a lot to say about the featured film, along with a little bit longer horror short, extra horror movie reviews and a “dated” video clip. The main review this episode is a handheld-documentary-regular film mixture called “Undocumented.” This is an IFC backed horror film, one of the kings of independent distributors which cost $1.4 million to make. Undocumented was released on DVD January 17th. The “Screamingly Scary Short Of The Week” is a unique psychological zombie short titled “Lanrete” that runs for 8 minutes. It was produced, written and directed by Peter Dukes of Dream Seekers Productions. Other links to check out include a Facebook fan page, a direct YouTube link to the short and Peter Dukes IMDB Filmography page. DVD Recommendations this week are two surprising shockers with BillChete going into Alien territory and ChrisiFix choosing a sequel that has gotten a bad wrap so far. The show wrap-up is feature-rich starting with 4 extra reviews and ratings by ChrisiFix. She was a busy little beaver watching recommendations off the Top 10 list including Sweatshop, The Bleeding, The Orphan Killer and Blood Runs Cold. Next is an exciting announcement the fans have been craving for on next weeks episode. The show concludes with a 2-minute video clip with BillChete broadcasting from the moon, with an old-timey film style appeal.
