The four orders of society (viz., the Brahmana, the Ksatriya, the Vaisya, and the Sudra) were created by Me, classifying them according to the Gunas predominant in each and apportioning corresponding duties to them; though the originator of his creation, know Me, the Immortal Lord, to be a non-doer. | 8/8/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Sati Maa says; "Lord Shiva is the Universal Soul, the slayer of the demon Tripura; He is the father of the entire world and the benefactor of all." Therefore, we must understand that God is the one who destroys the demons that try to corrupt our lives. God is the one who is our Supreme Father and will always be there to protect and guide us in life. God is the individual who enables us to have all which we have acquired. He is the one who can bring happiness and joy into our life. As we realize the greatness of the divine Lord, we must bring honor and grace to His name. This can be achieved by serving God and making offerings unto Him. The greatest offering we can give onto the Lord is to offer ourselves in thought, word and deed (mana, krama and vachana). This process must form its root from within man. Meaning we must be sincere, loving and humble when we serve the Lord and all of humanity. | 5/25/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 18 | VideoDo Not Condemn Others | The first verse of this katha says: "Although there are terrible agonies of various kinds in this world, the insult offered to one's own people is the most painful of them all. The thought of the same made Sati furious. Her mother tried to pacify Her in many ways." Devotees, let us all help to elevate each other not only materially but spiritually as well. Let us not condemn and ridicule each other. Remember that what goes around comes around. The law of Karma states as you sow so shall you reap. Let us therefore plant seeds of actions that will blossom and bring happiness into this world. The second verse of this katha says: "Wherever you hear a saint, Shambhu or Vishnu (the Lord of Lakshmi) vilified, the rule is that if it lies within your power you should tear out the tongue of the reviler or you should run away closing your ears." We are further told that we should speak words of wisdom to all those who condemn God and all saintly individuals. It is by this process that they will learn to cease speaking ill words. If for some reason we cannot speak and address them, then leave that environment as it is considered to be unholy. | 5/11/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 19 | VideoCommunication in Marriage | It is very vital that there is good communication between husband and wife. There must be a set of common understanding of values and principles that both husband and wife should adhere to. A good process is to always convey your thoughts and plans you would like to accomplish to your spouse and gain his/her consent. This is not done because one spouse is superior to the other but rather out of respect and the avoidance of disunity in the marriage. If you and your spouse are in agreement, then there will be no conflicts in your marriage. What if you disagree with your spouse? In such cases, you must explain why you are in disagreement and then come to a mutual understanding and compromise on the issue or task at hand. Many times we may need to see things from the viewpoint of our spouse as they may see what we do not. Sometimes we are saved from troubles because we discussed issues with our spouse. | 4/28/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 20 | VideoCorrect Procedures and Understanding the Soul | Have you ever wondered if the things you were taught by your family members are correct? Are you performing actions that are ordained by scriptural authority? Unfortunately there are many individuals who perform actions that are contrary to the teachings of the scriptures. As a result, there is a vital necessity for everyone to clarify all actions performed by turning to the holy pages of the divine scriptures. As we analyze Chapter 2 of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, we are taught why Drona and Bhishma (the Guru and Grandsire of the Pandavas and Kauravas) were on the opposing side of the battle in the Maha Bharata War against the Pandavas who had the Lord on their side. This understanding will enable us to take a second look at our performed actions to ensure its state of righteousness. Once we have acquired the understanding of proper actions, we can then begin to focus and understand the soul and its qualities. | 4/14/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 21 | VideoExperience and Maturity | As we grow in life, it is vital for us to reflect on the actions that we have performed and the outcome of these actions. If the action performed yields a positive result then we must realize that we can continue performing such actions. If the action performed, however, yields a negative result then we must realize that we should discontinue performing such actions. The process of realizing these results is considered the process of experience. Therefore, experience is the process by which a person is able to acknowledge and realize the outcome of actions after it is performed. A true devotee of God will always try to realize the outcome of actions before it is performed. If the devotee foresees that the action will bring about distress and sorrow, then the devotee will not perform these actions. However, if the devotee foresees that the action will bring about happiness and bliss, then the devotee will perform these actions. This is called the process of maturity. We become mature individuals when we can realize the results of actions before they are performed and make a conscious effort to perform actions that will yield a positive result. | 3/23/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 22 | VideoThe Assessment of Life | Arjuna speaks to the Lord and request that his chariot be placed in the middle of the battlefield so that he will be able to assess those he must overcome in this battle. The army Arjuna must overcome representations many of the negativities man is faced with in life. For example, man is faced with materialistic desire, lust, envy, hatred, ignorance and arrogance. When we are able to assess the situations we are confronted with, we will then be able to make the proper decisions in life. In our Scriptures there is a great emphasis on speaking the truth. We are taught that we should not speak lies regardless of the outcome. The divine Lord in the form of Shiva and Sati Maa teaches us about lying and its consequences. Why does someone speak a lie? Of course there are many reasons why a person may lie to which I have narrowed it down to three. It is very important for us to understand why a person may tell us a lie. Once we have an understanding as to why a person may lie to us and also who lies and how they lie, we will then be to alleviate some of the distress, agony and pain that we may feel. | 2/9/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 24 | VideoThe Inquiry of the Blind King | In this Video Podcast we will begin to relate the teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. We will discuss the teachings of the first three verses of chapter one. As we begin to relate the teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, we need to have a brief understanding of its background. King Dhritarashtra (the blind king) had 100 sons of which Duryodhana was the eldest. Dhritarashtra had a brother by the name of Pandu who had 5 sons who were named as follows. Yudhistira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula and Sahadeo. Pandu and his 5 sons are known as the Pandavas and Drishrashta and his 100 sons are known as the Kauravas. After King Pandu had died, his brother Dhritarashtra (who was blind) ruled the kingdom as the sons of Pandu were too young. As the Pandavas were growing, Duryodhana became very jealous of his cousins because they were so righteous. As a result, Duryodhana devised a plan to take the kingdom for the Pandavas who were the rightful heir to the throne. As the Pandavas grew, they asked not for the entire kingdom back, but rather asked only for half the kingdom. If not, they said they would settle for either 5 towns, 5 villages, or even 5 small homes. Duryodhana said that he would not give them as much dirt that can pass through the eye of a needle without waging war. As a result (not wanting to engage in war) the Pandavas realized that they had to take a stand for dharma (righteousness) and began to prepare for battle. Duryodhana asked for Lord Krishna's army to fight against the Pandavas. Arjuna did not want the Lord's army, but instead, he only wanted Lord Krishna to be with him. | 1/27/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 25 | VideoMoving Forward in Life | In order for us to be happy as we move forward in life, we must have some common understanding of our duty, family values and the importance of the Lord in our life. Once we are able to understand these teachings and act accordingly, happiness and prosperity will always be present. When we speak of happiness we speak also of success. Our success is not determined by our finances, our property and not even by how many cars we may own. We are successful when we can utilize the gifts that God has given unto us to serve Him. We are a success when we can utilize the abilities that God has given us to bring happiness into the lives of others. The laws of God must be the same for all of his children and as a result His laws has been written in different languages for all His devotees. By us believing in God, we make ourselves better individuals by following His teachings as outlined in the various scriptures (regardless of the religion we choose to follow).
