Happy Jacks RPG Podcast 000 | This is Episode 000 of the Happy Jack's RPG Podcast, in which I introduce myself, describe my RPG experience and ramble on for 20 minutes or so. This is the book I mentioned: Errata: After listening to the episode, I double-checked my dates (ie, figured out when I was in Jr. High School) and realized that I said I played the Red Box edition two years before it came out (according to Wikipedia). So, it was in my second or third year of Jr. High, not my first (which was my original recollection). I'm old, and this was a long time ago. More Errata: Nope. I was right. It was '78 or '79. Found this excerpt on Wikipedia: The original Dungeons & Dragons Basic Set boxed set was first published by TSR, Inc. in 1977,[1] and initially comprised a separate edition of the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, apart from the first edition of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons game initially published in the same year. Its product designation was TSR 1001. This box set contained a 48-page rules book (with a light blue cover and artwork by David C. Sutherland III), along with a set of polyhedral dice. (For a period in 1979, TSR experienced a dice shortage. Basic sets published during this time frame instead came with two sheets of numbered cutout cardstock chits that functioned in lieu of dice, along with a coupon for ordering dice from TSR.) I'm totally excited that I found this podcast. Still catching up to the latest episodes, but each one has great information. All the hosts are hilarious as well, (even the guests hosts they have on occasion).
Well rounded and objective
Definitely a show by gamers and for gamers. I recently came back to tabletop gaming from the MMO realm and was glad to find this show. Practical, real-world discussions with experienced hosts. I could do without the explicit language, but hey, put your filter on and realize these are real people just saying it like it is. Others may think it, they say it. Content is king and these guys have it. Great job!

Excellent find. A group of friends who talk gaming and share the enjoyment of the hobby with anyone who has at least one ear. Good topics, great chemistry, medium drama and high marks for physics and calculus.
