Podcast Description
This course is all about understanding: understanding what's going on inside your computer when you flip on the switch, why tech support has you constantly rebooting your computer, how everything you do on the Internet can be watched by others, and how your computer can become infected with a worm just by being turned on. Designed for students who use computers and the Internet every day but don't fully understand how it all works, this course fills in the gaps. Through lectures on hardware, software, the Internet, multimedia, security, privacy, website development, programming, and more, this course "takes the hood off" of computers and the Internet so that students understand how it all works and why. Through discussions of current events, students are exposed also to the latest technologies.

Excellent introduction to the world of Computers
This is an excellent intro to the world of computers. If you ever had a question about the computer or anything related to the computer download these lectures and experience the joy of computers. Also, if you are a student and are taking any intro to computer courses, this pod cast will give you an extra study tool for you exams. Hoping for other podcasts from other colleges to come online, but until then, this is a must have.
Reall Great Stuff
THE place to start for computer newbies. A GREAT place to go for veterans who want to brush up on their knowledge.
Everyone should watch this
I watched/listened to whole the Fall 2005 series (video iPods didn't come out until midway through the class). It looks like there are some great additions to this year's podcasts, like the Videos of the Week and the ability to access the slides in PDF directly through iTunes. I used to hate my computer, but after watching these lectures I love it now that I understand it a bit. Highly recommend it to anyone.
