Loved the first one I listened to
I am very grateful for the opportunity to sit in on this seminar. I found the lecture facinating. David Hoogland Noon is providing a great service by offering this le!cture up to world for the taking. thanks
Informative, though it is what it is.
Don't be scared off by the negative reviews. This podcast is informative, but it is what it is: a college lecture, delivered by a professor to his class, which was simply recorded and posted, warts and all. It is NOT Lars Brownworth's "12 Byzantine Emperors", nor Mike Duncan's "The History of Rome" -- which are well-produced and carefully planned history podcasts. But, there's a lot of good content in here, if you don't mind the rambling introductions and the sound of doors closing and people shifting around. I would have given this podcast 4 stars, but the low production value cost it a star.
Great!
Well.... I never thought I'd listen to a college lecture for fun, but I really enjoy these. I'm a history nut and these are by far the most detailed lessons I've listened to! Thank you for sharing you knowledge!
