How to be Southern Roman is about this girl, named Michelle, who had to study about the Roman empire in history class and while studying she comes across this mysterious book about the Roman empire which releases a 17 year old Roman into the 21st century. This Roman claims to be from the south of Rome and speaks with a stereotypical southern US accent. As the series progresses he criticizes the things of the 21st century claiming how Southern Rome had it better or how they didn't have such "fancy" gadgets. Michelle has to cope with the southern Roman throughout the series. As it progresses, she begins to fall for him.
