Exemplary illustration of podcasting for pedagogical purposes
These podcasts are produced by Professor David B. Miller, a gifted and popular professor at the University of Connecticut, and convey a spirit of openness and free exchange of ideas that typify his interactions with his students. The use of podcasting for recording discussions with student volunteers of material covered in his lectures to personalize the dialog is an innovative use of the technology for pedagogical purposes. The discussions are interesting, provocative, and much appreciated not only by his students, but also by other students of general psychology around the world.
Far out
You rock Dr. Miller! These podcasts are phat! People should definitely take advantage of these podcasts because they do help! Peace out homeslice.
Enjoyable and Informative
Most educational podcasts on the net are simply recorded lectures, but Professor Miller goes the extra mile and holds a vibrate Q&A session with his students that expands on topics that were covered in class. Professor Miller’s podcasts are useful for those that have a passing interest in psychology or those that wish to bush up on the basics.
