Author - Jenny Smith - Apr 16,2012 | Join Felice Gerwitz your host and her guest, author Jenny Smith. Jenny Smith is the author of "Seriously, God?" Our house was going into foreclosure, we were moving into a rental house, and God didn’t seem to care. My family needed me. It could be worse. As I walked down those house steps I didn’t know it was about to get much worse. I struggled with how God had let me down, where was he? Why didn’t he provide a job where we could maintain our standard of living? My whole Christian life had been built on this understanding of God being our provider, the one who when we had a need we went to and he provided. What happened? We were doing everything we knew to do and it wasnt working. The journey God took me on, showed me how knowing the seven I Am statements of Jesus from the Book of John, would transform my heart from feeling abandoned to a heart that stays steady even as life shakes all around me. I share this story in my book, “Seriously God? I’m Doing Everything I Know To Do and It’s Not Working”. Jenny self published this book and will share her insight in how the process works, how much criticism there is in the writing world, and how to guard against letting that discourage you. | 4/16/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

Only when she was failing in every area of her life did she look outside of herself. So she focused her training on helping employees to become entrepreneurs. Today she speaks to women and mom entrepreneurs inspiring and coaching them to return home and start a profitable business based on her gifts. Her motivational workshops and spiritual retreats empower women to live a life of purpose! Romance Author: Sherri Johnson - Dec 13,2010 | From the time she was eight year old, when she wrote her first short story, Sherri Wilson Johnson has dreamed of being a published author. As a young woman, Sherri wrote her first novel, which she typed on a typewriter and later burned in the fireplace, feeling it was not good enough for publication. This was her only copy. After that, she took a long break from writing. However, in 1993, she began to write again and wrote her novel To Dance Once More, which will be published soon by OakTara Publishers. She continued to write, writing two more novels, and experienced one rejection after another from publishers, who offered no advice but to continue to perfect her craft. In 2001, she wrote an article that was published in a magazine and received confirmation from the Lord that she needed to continue writing. Soon after, other articles followed. She wrote her first Bible study and a devotional for homeschool moms, which she self-published and sells at conventions and speaking engagements. In 2003, she graduated from the two-year Christian Writers Guild Writing for the Soul course and attended their conference in 2004. There she received much encouragement to press on. She received the good news that To Dance Once More had been accepted by OakTara in 2008. She is currently writing her fourth novel, the sequel to the first, and continuing to submit her other two manuscripts to publishers. Writing and the quest for publication has been a life-long journey for Sherri – one that she hopes to continue with great success for the rest of her life. | 12/13/10 | Free | View In iTunes |
