CleanThe Diana Zere Foundation | This week includes an interview with Amanda Abou-Reslan about a concert she and four other students are organizing a concert to raise money for the Diana Zere Foundation. Diana, a graduate of IEGS, passed away last summer. Her dream was to help build up the education system in Africa. The concert will take place on the 30th of March, 6.00 pm at Åsö Vuxengymnasium. The entrance fee is 50kr, which goes to the foundation. CleanCurie Win IHC Ensemble & Dr Whiteley talks | Recorded Feb 16, 2012 It was the IHC Ensemble last week at Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet yesterday. We had a full packed house with lots of students and staff from all four houses coming along. The event was admirably hosted by Andreas Giannakopoulos and Siri Nylund. “The quality of the performances really raised the bar this year,” said Dr Benedikz, principal. “It was inspiring to see such positive House spirit.” “They were witty and thoroughly professional in their approach,” said Dr Benedikz. “Their sense of humor and positivity set the tone for the event. I think they did a really good job.” Whilst the judges deliberated the result, Dr Benedikz took to the stage to thank all the students that participated as well as the teachers that helped each House prepare for the event. Dr Whiteley was presented with an orchid in recognition of his outstanding involvement in helping all the houses prepare. After much deliberation, Curie won this year’s Inter House Ensemble competition in a close run contest with a performance of the Led Zepplin Classic “Stairway to Heaven”.
