CleaniPhone Question – How to Stop Downloading Duplicate Emails on iPhone | In this audio lesson I'll be answering a question from someone who has an iPhone and is annoyed by the fact that their phone downloads emails they've already read on their computer. "Currently it downloads the last 50 emails, whether I've already read them or not. I only want to see new ones on the iPhone. How can I configure this?" This problem is a common issue for people checking their email on multiple devices such as a computer and an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad. The solution is to set your computer (or whichever device you're checking email on first) to delete messages from the server after you delete them (or in some cases, simply move them) from your inbox. In the audio lesson I'll explain the whole thing in Plain English and give you tips on how to avoid this common problem of downloading duplicate emails. | 6/9/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

| 9 | CleanVideoHow to Set Up iPhone Email (Gmail, MobileMe, &tc) Video Lesson | In this first iPhone How To video lesson I'll show you the steps for how to set up email on your iPhone or iPod Touch -- this video shows you the steps if you use one of the "big name" email providers that Apple provides presets for, such as MobileMe, Gmail, Yahoo! Mail and AOL (MS Exchange works differently and is not covered here). I will post a separate video on setting up iPhone email that you'll want to watch if you use an "other" email provider such as the one provided by your ISP. As is always the case with my lessons, I take the time to give explanations when needed -- this lesson runs a little longer than average for my iPhone tutorials clocking in at 4:21 (most are around 2 mins), which is still pretty quick all things considered. Not everyone will need the Plain English explanations of what I'm showing you, but I didn't want to leave out the many people who do. If you find this video helpful, please feel free to pass it on to your friends with the share buttons below, and I also welcome feedback in the comments. | 11/28/10 | Free | View In iTunes |
