Podcast Description

Irreligiosophy means "the wisdom of irreligion" -- it is about questioning dogmas handed down uncritically to us and researching into the history, practice, and theology of various religions. Religious claims are scrutinized with a skeptical eye and placed in historical perspective, with an emphasis on pagan precursors (especially Egyptian and Greek) to current beliefs and practices. We focus on Christianity because that is the religion that we are most familiar with and confronted by in our daily lives.

Best podcast

Hei guys, wonderful job, this is the greatest podcast ever. I'm trying not to became addicted, I was addicted to christianity before and that was not good. You guys now mighty have 20 listeners. :) haha. p.s. Can you do a show talking about the seventy day adventist church and their "god" Ellen G. White? Keep up the good work!

Freaking Awsome

What more can I say these guys are freaking awesome and hilarious. Listening to What LDS advise to the young men with Heber Kimball had me laughing so hard I almost peed my pants!

Entertaining and humorous show

Take "Reasonable Doubts", add in the chemistry of the "Skeptics Guide to the Universe," toss in a dash of the dislike of editing of the "Conspiracy Skeptic," and you have Irreligiosophy. It may be the worst title to a podcast yet, but once you find it, if you don't mind frank and non-politically correct humor, this show is highly entertaining and thought provoking. However, if you are a devout anything this program could cost you a fair chunk of change when you toss your iPod into the nearest river in a fit of anger while listening to the show.
