Junk Food Dinner Podcast: Episode #97 | Looking for something to stick in your ear? How about a brand spankin' new episode of Junk Food Dinner?! This week we kick things off with the best sexy Italian Star Wars knock off ever committed to celluloid! Of course, we're talking about Starcrash from 1978. This space epic directed by Luigi Cozzi stars British beauty Caroline Munro, former child preacher Marjoe Gortner, Joe Spinell and a young David Hasselhoff. All this plus Southern robots, skimpy outfits and lots of bad haircuts. Then, things get darker as we delve into director Lucky McKee's latest effort The Woman from 2011. Based on the novel by Jack Ketchum, this film tells the tale of a well-to-do lawyer who captures a feral woman while out hunting and brings her back to his ranch where he keeps her captive and attempts to civilize her, all with begrudging help of his family (including his wife played by McKee favorite Angela Bettis). And finally, we see what happens when a mysterious TV unleashes a slew of zombies on an unsuspecting brother and sister as they attempt to get settled in their new house, in the 1987 VHS favorite The Video Dead. Junk Food Dinner Podcast Episode #96 | Just like a white winged dove, Junk Food Dinner is back! Not the best opening line, but, hey it's been a rough week. Let's get it going! Up first we examine Rob Schrab's surreal, childlike, musical, funny, and only slightly annoying TWIGGER'S HOLIDAY featuring Satan, Dan Harmon, hot moms, puppets, songs (co-written by Liam Lynch) and a whole slew of effects. Rob crafted this colorful coming of age series for the amazing Channel 101 back in 2004. Second, it's more hot moms and weird "science" as we try and make sense of surely one of the strangest films we've covered in a while - ELECTRA. Shannon Tweed is Lorna, stepmother to a very special boy named Billy. Well, not so much a boy as a dopey, shirtless, early 20 year old who has a very special, very powerful serum pumping through his blood. After Lorna is kidnapped by the evil Roach, it's up to Billy and his girlfriend to set her free and keep Roach from getting the superhuman formula. Lastly, we travel deep into the heart of the jungle. A billionaire has decided to set up a luxury hotel in the pristine wetlands and in the process awakens a huge alligator which takes the opportunity to feast on natives and tourists alike. Angered at the destruction these interlopers have caused to their peaceful village, the natives launch an attack of their own leading to a bloody finale. Mel Ferrer and Barbara Bach head up the cast with a soundtrack by the (always) great Stelvio Cipriani - Sergio Martino's THE GREAT ALLIGATOR RIVER rounds out this episode. All this plus witty banter between friends, rock 'n roll music, glitchy Skype noise, Nerd News, DVD & Blu-ray releases, and so much more! Direct Download Here. Junk Food Dinner Podcast Episode #95 | This week, Junk Food Junkies; Kevin, Mark, & Parker learn about the power of magic, mirth, and motorcycles! Give yourselves over as Episode #95 takes hold and refuses to let you go (in a loving way, though)! Up first, Jamir the magician discovers his powers are all too real when he accidentally sends his daughter to another dimension inhabited by an evil, big-headed witch bent on revenge! A slew of crazy monsters - including Globo, played by...himself? -and impressive practical effects make this 1987 Portuguese fantasy film worth a look (or at least some of us think so) - MAGIC OF THE UNIVERSE! (read that with an echo, please.) Then, Parkers not-even-sort-of-secret love affair with Julian Sands continues as we talk about WARLOCK: THE ARMAGEDDON from 1993. Not quite a sequel, more of a spin off. This time a family of Druids have cause for concern when terrifying prophecies regarding the return of a certain blonde-haired Warlock begin to come true. Can the two warriors - Kenny & Sam - stop him before he collects the magic runes needed to bring our dark lord Satan to Earth? Finally, we hop on our sponsored Kawasaki bikes and ride, ride, ride as we discuss CHROME & HOT LEATHER from 1971. After returning home, a Green Beret is shocked to learn that his attractive finacee' and her friend have been killed by a biker gang. Now it's up to him and his crew to beat them (to death) at their own game! Though not our first (and certainly not last) biker film, this one presents a whole host of questions, like: How can a movie co-starring Marvin Gaye have such awful music? Due to technical difficulties there's no NERD NEWS or DVD RELEASES this week. Also, no hilarious soundboard drops. We know, we know. We're sad too. We still manage to squeeze in some JUNK MAIL, WITTY BANTER BETWEEN FRIENDS, VARIOUS LEVELS OF QUALITY MUSIC, and MORE! Direct Download Here. JFD93 | Junk Food Dinner has somehow managed to not be shut down by the FBI yet. Rejoice! First up, Timothy Bottoms plays a young man who's determined to blow up America's amusement parks (unless he's paid the sum of one million dollars) in 1977's disaster-sploitation flick "Rollercoaster." George Segal plays the man who must stop the destruction. Steve Guttenberg, Craig Wasson and Helen Hunt have cameos. A man returns home to New York from Vietnam to find that his war isn't over. Robert Ginty is "The Exterminator (1980). Ginty seeks gritty revenge after the Ghetto Ghouls hurt his friend. Finally, some people go camping (by Parker's house!!) only to discover ghost children and cannibalistic hermits in 1982's "The Forest." Who will survive, what will be left of them and who will trip over the huge obvious branch that's in the way? Only time will tell. A veritable cornucopia of genres and subject matter this week as we try and wrap our gigantic brains around three extremely different films! Up first, the terror takes hold as we join a bunch of yahoos on a vacation trip of a lifetime...or should we say DEATHTIME. No, you're right, lifetime is better. It's a real word at least. Tim Boggs' BLOOD LAKE from 1987 is the subject of much debate and provides one of the finest new sound clips for our ever growing arsenal. Who will survive this weekend of pure mayhem? Next, Linda Blair be looking good as usual! ROLLER BOOGIE from 1979 teaches us about the passion for passing fads as well as fashion and the dangers of performing near pools. Director Mark Lester (COMMANDO, CLASS OF 1984) rolls a cast of lovable misfits into our homes and hearts with this goofy time capsule. Finally, show favorite Bobcat Goldthwait writes/directs/and stars in the cult classic SHAKES THE CLOWN. After losing his girl, his agent, and alienating most of the clown community Shakes must prove he's not just some bozo and clean up his act. Junk Food Dinner Podcast: Episode #91 | As if a podcast dedicated to cult movies wasn't nerdy enough, this week we delve into another geek pursuit; VIDEO GAMES, when we take a look at three retro gaming-themed flicks. Up first, we travel back to a magical, fantasy world where playing video games could potentially win you the affection of scantily clad babes. It's the early 80's and video arcades are all the rage. Geeks, dweebs, fatsos, leather-clad punk rockers and fly honeys are all flocking to Bailey's Arcade and having the time of their lives playing Pac-Man, Joust, Defender and Satan's Hollow. That is, until Joe Don Baker and his cronies set out to spoil everybody's good time in the 1983 sex comedy Joysticks. Then, a young boy (ET's Henry Thomas) obsessed with spy fantasies comes face to face with the real McCoy when he witnesses a secret agent murdered by evil spies. But before the agent bites the dust, he gives the boy an Atari cartridge filled with top secret information. Now the boy is on the run and must rely on the help of his imaginary friend Jack Flack (Dabney Coleman), his real friend Kim and his dad (also Coleman) to bring down the the evil super spy Rice (Michael Murphy) who is after him in the surprisingly violent kids' movie Cloak & Dagger from 1984. And finally, Fred Savage'll be damned if he sees his mildly autistic brother Jimmy put in a home. His solution? Run away to California! But along the way he teams up with Jenny Lewis and realizes his brother kicks major butt at Nintendo games. With their parents, bounty hunters and bratty video aces on their tale the three kids make their way to the video game championships in the late 80's nostalgia-dripping, 90 minute Nintendo commercial The Wizard from 1989. All this plus witty banter between friends, rock 'n roll music, glitchy Skype noise, Nerd News, DVD & Blu-ray releases, and so much more! JFD90 | We're kicking off 2012 with playful secrets and varying audio quality! We're foregoing the Nerd News and DVDs this week to run down our top 5 films of 2011. We also talk about our most hated 2011 films. Then it's on to the old fashioned movie reviews you're used to. First up is the 2008 documentary "Rock-afire Explosion," about the mechanical animals from Showbiz Pizza and the adults who love them. Much like the subjects of this film, we relish in nostalgia concerning our favorite pizza-selling Southern robotic band from the '80s. Next up is "Get Crazy" from 1983. Allan Arkush re-channels his "Rock & Roll High School" roots to document an effort by a bunch of wacky goofballs to put on a New Year's Eve concert. the film stars Daniel Stern, Malcolm McDowell, Electric Larry, Lee Ving, Ed Begley Jr., Lou Reed, Mary Woronov and tons more. Finally, we immerse ourselves in '70s van culture as we take a trip to "Van Nuys Blvd." (1979). The film follows a bunch of SoCal kids as they cruise the boulevard, sunbathe at the beach, hit Magic Mountain, disco dance, get laid and be real cool. The film stars The Chooch. Junk Food Dinner Podcast: Episode #89 | Do you hear what I hear? It's a band new Junk Food Dinner Holiday Spectacular! This year we invite you to snuggle up by the fire place and join us as we munch on three especially nutty fruitcakes of cinema. Up first, a pretty young mall employee with a severely damaged home life is befriended by a jolly, bearded man (with smoke encircling his head like a wreath) and together they must stop the Nazis from using evil elves and a magic crystal to create a master race in the deeply dark and disturbing ELVES from 1989. Next, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan takes on Ed Begley Jr. and a host of character actors (Garrett Morris, Mila Kunis, Don Stark, Clint Howard, and more!) as they try and take over an orphanage! On Christmas! Can you believe the nerve? More magic crystals and groans abound as we take on 1996's SANTA WITH MUSCLES! If you missed it the two weeks it was in theaters in the mid-90's, now's your chance to get the scoop. Finally, we travel around the world to the icy tundra of Finland to take a look at a newer entry in the cannon of Holiday cult film. RARE EXPORTS from last year, a feature length film spawned from a series of viral short films, takes a look at the darker side of Santa mythology. A boy and his father feel the consequences of the archaeological dig when they uncover an ancient burial mound. Could the stranger found in their wolf trap have something to do with the rash of disappearances of the local children? All this plus an appearance by Virtual Mark, witty banter between friends, rock 'n roll music, glitchy Skype noise, a flaming Yule log, Nerd News, DVD & Blu-ray releases, and so much more! Junk Food Dinner Podcast: Episode #88 | Boy, oh, boy do we have a killer episode of Junk Food Dinner for you! We've got killer cuckold husbands, killer college kids and killer atomizing ray guns! What more could you ask for?! Up first, a man with a crazy blond beard and a wild-eyed stare (the incomparable Asbestos Felt) suspects his wife (Courtney Lercara) is being unfaithful after reading her salacious diary entries and unleashes a reign of terror on those who would threaten his marriage in the low-budget 1987 gore fest, Killing Spree, directed by Tim Ritter of Truth or Dare: A Critical Madness fame. Then, two lovable hillbillies (Tyler Labine and Alan Tudyk) head out to their new vacation home, a rustic cabin in the woods, for some quality bro time. But when a group of spoiled college kids (including the lovely Katrina Bowden and the hilariously sinister Jesse Moss) mistake their backwoods ways for evil intent, it kicks off a series of misunderstandings and spark a chain of events that leaves a high body (and laugh) count in the 2010 horror/comedy Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. And finally, music, absurd comedy and beautiful black and white cinematography collide in a story about an intergalactic trader (Cory McAbee, who also wrote, directed and scored the film) who's on a mission to deliver The Boy Who Actually Saw a Woman's Breast to Venus, all while trying to avoid being turned to dust by the ray-gun of the evil Professor Hess (Rocco Sisto) in The American Astronaut from 2001. All this plus witty banter between friends, rock 'n roll music, glitchy Skype noise, Nerd News, DVD & Blu-ray releases, and so much more! JFD87: Things, Creature, The Thing | JFD offers you a vague welcome as we talk about three movies with very nondescript titles. First up, we talk about the often-sought after so-bad-it's-good-but mostly bad "Things" from 1989. Inanimate monsters abound, featuring porn legend Amber Lynn as a news reporter. Then, we take a look at the lowest grossing wide-release film of all time: 2011's "Creature." A rubber suit alligator man-monster stalks some kids in the bayou. Sid Haig co-stars. Finally, we discuss the 2011 prequel (read: remake) of "The Thing." Mary Elizabeth Winstead leads a bunch of Norwegian scientists again an extraterrestrial monster that can take the form of its prey. Note: We had some technical difficulties this week. Sorry if the audio gets a little wonky here and there. Junk Food Dinner 86 | Open your eyes, JFD listeners. Um, open your ears, I guess. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, our first movie this week is Cameron Crowe's romantic sci-fi mystery "Vanilla Sky." Paranoia abounds as Tom Cruise tries to make sense of his life after a car wreck. Penelope Cruz, Kurt Russell and Jason Lee also show up. Then we take a look at Allison Anders' student film "Border Radio" from 1987. The film centers around the '80s LA rock scene and appropriately stars Chris D. and John Doe. Finally, we talk about the quintessential '80s beach sex comedy, "Hardbodies," from 1984. A beach cassanova teaches three old, but rich, geezers how to score with chicks. Junk Food Dinner Podcast: Episode #85 | Get ready for girls, guns, bullets and bombs as Junk Food Dinner fills your Thanksgiving with a cornucopia sleazy mayhem when we pay tribute to the king of late-night cable T&A action trash, Andy Sidaris. Up first we take a look at Mr. Sidaris' first film, Stacey from 1974. This perplexing piece of early 70's exploitation fare sets the formula for all future Sidaris flicks; tropical settings, gorgeous women kicking ass, plenty of gratuitous nudity, gun battles and explosions. Stunning Playboy Playmate Anne Randall plays the titular Stacey, a private detective hired by the wealthy matriarch of a dysfunctional family to see who is worthy of her fortune. Next, a little something for everybody; sexy DEA agents, stolen diamonds, cancerous snakes, skateboarding assassins, bazookas and a deadly Frisbee in the Sidaris masterpiece Hard Ticket to Hawaii from 1987. This goofy action flick stars Sidaris-mainstays Donna Speir and Hope Marie Carlton along with soap opera star Ronn Moss and kick boxer Harold Diamond, hot on the trail of a gang of evil crime lords in the Aloha State. Suffice to say, many breasts are bared and many things get blown up. And finally, Erik Estrada joins the party as a South American gunrunner who hires a couple of bumbling assassins to take out Donna Speir and her sexy friends, only to find out that these ladies aren't going out without a fight in the awesomely titled Guns from 1990. Along with more Sidaris favorites like Roberta Vasquez and Cynthia Brimhall, this movie also features future Machete star Danny Trejo. All this plus witty banter between friends, listener feedback, Nerd News, DVD & Blu-ray releases, and so much more! JFD83 | JFD returns from a brief hiatus with three very different films! First up, we debate the merits of Richard Linklater's 1996 flick "SubUrbia," based on a play by Eric Bogosian. The film stars Giovanni Ribisi, Steve Zahn, Nicky Katt and some other people as chatty 20-something slackers stuck in suburban Texas. Then we look at "The Wizard of Speed and Time" from 1988. The film is an autobiographical comedy concerning Mike Jittlov, a special effects master, as he battles Hollywood producers, thugs, unions and Uncle Sam to make a film about an extremely fast wizard. Spoiler alert: the effects in this film will make your brain explode. Finally, we get sleazy and dirty when we watch the creme de la creme of Women in Prison flicks, 1983's "Chained Heat," staring Linda Blair, Sybil Danning, their breasts, and John Vernon. A young woman (Blair) must toughen up to survive a stay in prison. Direct Mp3 download? This week, to get us in the spirit of ghouls, goblins and jack-o-lanterns we take a look at three very different Halloween-themed films. Up first, we see what happens when they try to make a Halloween sequel without Michael Meyers, but instead, with Tom Adkins, Stacey Nelkin, killer Halloween masks, corporate Irish super villains and their cyborg henchmen, when we examine Halloween III: Season of the Witch from 1982. Then, we debate the merits of a nostalgic ghost story involving a young boy, a murder mystery and racial tension in the 1960's when we discuss Lady in White from 1988 starring a young Lukas Haas. And finally, that lovable goofball is back, this time battling evil trolls and hamming it up with Ertha Kitt in the 1991 childrens' Halloween comedy Ernest Scared Stupid. Junk Food Dinner Podcast: Episode #81 | Darkness falls across the land, and Junk Food Dinner is close at hand! We're deep into Schlocktober as, this week, we put our disembodied heads together and discuss three films about the living dead. Up first, a coastal town hold a dark secret for a young woman in search of her father. William Huyck & Gloria Katz, the team behind American Graffiti, Howard the Duck, and more, craft a hallucinogenic, nightmarish tale of deception and the occult in the 1973 film - Messiah of Evil! Then we learn that (fake) blood is thicker than water when becoming a zombie is a family affair. Certainly one of the messiest entries in the zombie canon, 1992's Dead Alive (aka: Braindead) from director Peter Jackson! Finally, the laughs (and cringes) keep coming as we take a look at a subject near and dear to our hearts - slackers in their late twenties coming to terms with life and the afterlife. Edgar Wright's Shaun of the Dead from 2004 wraps up year two of our salute to the lumbering brain-eaters we all know and love! All this plus delicious internal organs, witty banter between friends, listener feedback, Nerd News, DVD & Blu-ray releases, and so much more! Direct Download Here. JFD80 | Grab your holy water and your garlic, cuz Vampire Week of our Schlocktober celebration is upon us! First up, we have an old western showdown between a cowboy and an unruly gang of vamps in "Near Dark," from 1987. Bill Paxton and Lance Henrikson lead the blood-sucking gang in this influential, but often overlooked flick. Then we gush like school boys in love over 1996's "From Dusk till Dawn," written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Robert Rodriguez. George Clooney, Tom Savini, Harvey Keitel, Cheeck Marin and tons more awesome people show up when bikers and gangsters face off against the Mexican undead. Finally, we try to finish our podcast, but get told by a vampire that it's "hardly our podcast any longer," as we discuss 2000's "Shadow of the Vampire." The film is a fictional account of the making of the original "Nosferatu" film, featuring an Oscar-nominated performance from Willem Dafoe as Max Schreck. One of them is killed, while the other survives, only to become a beast himself when the moon is full in An American Werewolf in London from 1981, directed by John Landis. Then, two goth sisters experience the trials and tribulations of growing up but with an added twist; when one sister becomes a creature of the night in the 2000 coming-of-age horror flick Ginger Snaps. And finally, a routine military exercise quickly becomes a fight for survival against a pack of wolfish enemies in the 2002 British action/horror film Dog Soldiers. All this plus witty banter between friends, listener feedback, Nerd News, DVD & Blu-ray releases, and so much more! Junk Food Dinner Podcast: Episode #78 | Junk Food Dinner #78 is here! Right as you let your guard down! Kevin is still off exploring these United States and in his absence Matt D. (JFD38/VHS Vault/Horror Boobs/Lover of Weird Al) joins us for a grit sandwich! Up first, Anthony Michael Hall teams up with a gnome to solve a million dollar mystery. Guess which one comes off creepier! With FX wizard Stan Winston at the helm and Robert Z'dar as the second main bad guy, this dusty little gem proves to be more than meets the eye - you won't believe how much we enjoyed "A Gnome Named Gnorm" (AKA: Upworld) from 1990. Then we all revert to our thirteen year old selves as we get geeky and gushy over a man who made a career out of funny songs that are mostly about food. The humble beginnings of Weird Al are simultaniously revealed and lampooned in "The ComplEAT Al" from 1985. Finally, Robert Forster is only one cop - but sometimes that's all it takes when corruption goes straight to the top! We feast our eyes on the (alarmingly) difficult to find (sorry, Parker) "The Death Squad" from 1974. We've also got Nerd News, DVD Releases, and more! Sorry we forgot to read the mail again! Tune in! JFD77 | Kevin's gone this week. Can the guys do a show without their fearless leader? Spoiler Alert: The answer is "mostly." Professional podcaster Mike from Kissing Contest fills in and we talk about three pretty different, mostly interesting movies. First up, we discuss Dolph Lundgren's 1989 action flick, "Red Scorpion." The movie is directed by JFD-favorite Joseph Zito. Oh, and Parker picked it based on a .gif he saw of a guy blowing up. Next up is "Nice Girls Don't Explode" from 1987. This fiery tale of unbridled passion and burning will leave you feeling the fuego. Wallace Shawn co-stars in a performance that sets the screen ablaze. Finally, we discuss a Samurai dad in 1980's "Shogun Assassin." The film was cut together from pieces of two of the "Lone Wolf and Cub" films and was banned in England for a while due to some awesome fighting. Anderson; director of Alone in the T-Shirt Zone (Episode #38!), Kamillions (right now!), and current supervising director of The Simpsons (forever!)! We forgo the Junk Mail, Nerd News, and DVD Release segments this week (don't worry, they'll be back next week) as we kick the show off with a discussion on Mike's career from Alone in the T-Shirt Zone to now and everything in between! Up first - we get the inside scoop on our first feature of the evening - Mike's sophomore film from 1989 - Kamillions, a Lovecraftian sci-fi comedy with some extremely memorable special effects, goofball character actors, and sacrificial pig meat. Then it's off to the land of the ice and snow with the midnight sun where the hot springs flow. Yes, scenic Norway! It's time to take a look at 2010's The Troll Hunter - the latest, and one of the best despite it's lack of black metal, entries into the world of documentary style horror! Finally - we have a mature, enlightening, and honest discussion about the Hungarian prison dra- no, wait. We're talking about an alien vacuum cleaner that wants to bang everyone and eat microwave dinners, right? That's right. It's 1989's Oversexed Rugsuckers from Mars! Believe it! JFD75: The Huggabunch, Mr. Boogedy, Super Xuxa | By popular demand, we're immersing ourselves in three cracked-out children's movies this week! These hard-to-find flicks were sent to us by Michael from All Clues No Solutions so be sure to check him out. Up first, we need to save our grandma from the perils of old age while getting as many hugs as possible from creepy puppets in 1985's "The Hugga Bunch." The film stars a robot girl from the Deep South and was directed by just some dude. Then we watch as a family of travelling practical jokesters move into a house that's haunted by the centuries old spirit of "Mr. Boogedy." This surprisingly scary 1986 Disney movie stars young versions of Kristy Swanson and David Faustino. Finally, Brazil's favorite sexy children's show host fights the devil in a blatant Labyrinth rip off called "Super Xuxa." This 1988 movie co-stars a bunch of crappy looking puppets and a pair of very short shorts. We also discover the secret of Sweet Chilly Williams. Junk Food Dinner Podcast: Episode #74 | The wait is over, and Junk Food Dinner Episode #74 is here. This week we welcome, our announcer and bonafide radio personality, Juliet Fromholt to the show as we discuss giant varmints, Indonesian mysticism, and the debate of fate versus chance! First up, Marjoe Gortner and his friends are trapped on an island where strange things are brewing- RIGHT OUT OF THE GROUND. Naturally, the locals have been feeding it to wildlife and, brother, it's become wilder than ever! Bert I. Gordon (aka Mr. Big) tackles the work of H. G. Wells in the PG rated rat massacre from 1976 - Food of the Gods! Next, curses from a hundred years ago come calling, or more accurately, come walking naked out of the ocean. Can Erica and her expertly coiffed police pals put a stop to a seemingly invincible killing machine before she termina- uh, destroys them? It's a whirlwind of violence, bad hair, and misplaced eels as we travel around the world to Indonesia and check out the 1989 foreign market knock off - Lady Terminator. Finally, anyone for tennis? But seriously, and we mean seriously, we're talking Woody Allen's Match Point from 2005. Beautiful people (Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Scarlett Johannson) do terrible things to each other while trying to suss out whether luck or fate has more to do with the way things turn out. But they'll soon discover that love doesn't always serve all. From aliens to the undead to school girls fighting dragons we've got quite a spread lined up this week! We kick things off with teens in the 70's (via the 50's) in a movie born of the 80's neon bosom! A guitar shaped spaceship and it's crew of new wave alien hipsters invade Earth to win the hearts, minds, and ears of the youth; but first they have to go up against the toughest (and only?) band in town in "Voyage of the Rock Aliens" from 1984 staring Pia Zadora. Next, Local sheriff Dan Gillis is in over his head when a string of bizarre murders rocks his sleepy little corner of the world. Everyone seems to be acting strange and instead of answers, he's only getting more questions. Join us as we learn it takes a village to raise the dead (#jokes)! Dan O' Bannon again teams up with Ronald Shusett to craft a spellbinding tale of black magic and betrayal with special effects from Stan Winston in Gary Sherman's "Dead & Buried" from 1981. Finally, escape is the only option as we get wrapped up in dreams within dreams and go head to head with evil doctors, orcs, dragons, and more. Baby Doll and her friends are busting out - but not without a plan! When the music starts, reality ends. The stage is set for Zack Snyder's first original work, "Sucker Punch" from 2011. Then, a group of soldiers stationed in the Sierra Nevada Mountains during the Mexican-American War, quickly turn on one another as cannibalism is introduced to the group in the often overlooked 1999 period thriller Ravenous starring Guy Pearce, Robert Carlyle, Jeffrey Jones and David Arquette. Junk Food Dinner Podcast: Episode #65 | Daughters lock up your mothers, Junk Food Dinner returns! This week we take a look at three very different films and then say things about them in turn. It's new! Up first, we get chummy (and a little gushy) with an oft overlooked horror/comedy entry into undead high school lore, I Was A Teenage Zombie from 1986. Not to mention it's killer soundtrack comprised of the likes of The Fleshtones, The Db's, The Waitresses, Alex Chilton, and more! Next, Gem City's own Jim Van Bebber takes us on a tripped out ride through the eyes of Charlie and company in the 2004 film The Manson Family based on the infamous 1969 murders and the subsequent trial. Finally, we learn that some nostalgia might be misplaced in the misstep that is Body Slam starring Dirk Benedict and Roddy Piper. Featuring a whole host of 80's footnotes. Great podcast
Entertaining, fun, and informative, the show benefits from a fantastic and joking chemistry between Kevin, Mark, and Parker, who, while discussing good and bad cult and B-movies, each combine their distinctive tastes to create an enjoyable conversation on the cinematic. The end result is never disappointing and stands as an always-fun foray into the world of movies.
The best bad movie podcast of all time!
This show is great. If you're even remotely interested in cult movies, bad movies, B-movies, etc - check it out!
Bros
I love these dudes in a completely plutonic non homosexual way. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's more like how one bro can love some other bros he never met which is totally cool and not weird or anything. Their movie selections are pretty choice. Even the sucky ones that I don't particularly like.
