A Completely Biased Review
I'm not impartial, or even close. Tracy and Laura Hickman are friends, and over the years I've been lucky enough to work with them. Despite this, I feel confident that any gamer (and many non-gamers!) will be tickled purple (far beyond pink) by seeing Killer Breakfast. For many, many years Killer Breakfast has been a feature of the Gen Con Game Fair -- with Tracy and Laura serving up hundreds of unfortunate characters each year. Each player gets a pathetic character and is put in an impossible situation. Only extraordinary luck and keeping Tracy entertained will keep a character alive for a few extra moments. Eventually, though, everyone dies. Over the years the production has grown more elaborate, with themes, musical numbers, movie parodies, and more. This year, with "Phantoms of Ravenloft," I think Tracy and Laura outdid themselves--taking on Andrew LLoyd Weber, TSR, and even themselves with good-natured-yet-deadly humor. You'll see me get on stage and die pretty quickly (not by Lord Soth, but by an unexpected dinosaur), and I had to leave and go to work. I'm eagerly awaiting the (as of this writing) currently un-aired installments so I can see what happened with the Dead Gentlemen, Ed Greenwood, and Gary Gygax made it onto the stage. This is fun on your computer, iPod, or (if you're really fortunate) television with Apple TV. Watch Killer Breakfast. I died laughing!
