Don't forget to stop by PortuguesePod101.com for more great Portuguese Language Learning Resources! (risos) Daniel: Uhum, provavelmente! ----Formal English---- Daniel: And the legend of the headless mule, do you remember it? Sofia: Of course, Grandma was the one who told us that one, remember? Daniel: (hesitant) Uhh... Not very well. How did she tell it exactly? Sofia: A long time ago, a woman was cursed for loving a Catholic Father. Since then, every night from Thursday to Friday she's transformed into the headless mule. She wandered seven villages and whoever encountered her by the way would be attacked, their eyes would be taken, their finger and toe nails and fingers and toes would be eaten. Some people that have seen her say that if you encounter her you must lie down on the ground, hide your fingers, toes, and your teeth so she doesn't attack. They also say that she could rip off your head. Daniel: Remember that Grandma also said that on the nights that she appears it's possible to hear her neighing and her gallop, that sound like a furious horse? Sofia: (haha) I do remember that. I think that Grandma told us these stories so that we would be afraid and hug her. (laughter) Daniel: Uhuh, probably! --------------------------- Learn Portuguese with PortuguesePod101! Don\'t forget to stop by PortuguesePod101.com for more great Portuguese Language Learning Resources! ----Formal English---- Natural and Architectonic Wealth of Parana Parana State is located in the Southern region of Brazil and is one state of various types of tourism attractions of Brazil. One of the strong points of Parana is its natural parks, and a great example known worldwide is the Iguaçu National Park, where the Iguaçu Falls are located, with around two hundred and seventy-five waterfalls. The park is in the Foz do Iguaçu city that borders Argentina and Paraguay. We consider the falls a Natural Heritage of Humanity and are competing for the position of the Seven Wonders of the World. The Vila Velha State Park, in the Ponta Grossa city, has a set of very interesting rock formations that the wind and rain sculpted over the years. You can identify many figures made by the rocks, among them a chalice, a boot, and a camel\'s head. For the beach lovers, the Mel Island (\"Honey Island\"), also in Ponta Grossa,* is a good option. It has one of the best beaches of Brazil, along with some Brazilian history. To preserve the natural flora and fauna, the island has restricted a maximum of five thousand visitors simultaneously. In the capital of the State, the Curitiba city has many places worthy of postcards. One of the most famous is the Botanic Garden of Curitiba, which has a greenhouse of three vaults, architecture in art-noveau style, and home plants from the Brazilian Atlantic forest, along with a botanical museum. Yet in Curitiba, the Oscar Niemeyer (designed by the artist Niemeyer) has a lot of beauty and peculiarity in its shapes, because it has one of the annex that remember an eye. Great learning podcast.
I listen to the podcast often and it is really helpful. Keep up the good work!!
Great stuff
This podcast is great! I'm only a beginner so I can't say much about the more advanced stuff, but these lessons are short, simple, and concise and I always feel like I've learned something by the end of the lesson. Keep it going guys!
