Excellent Learning Opportunity
I'm on lesson 6 of this series. I am definitely "Learning Indonesian". The pace is just right for me. Both hosts are very good, especially Chi Chi, the woman who does the intonations. Shawn is the lead host and is very good at moving you along the lesson. The lessons are apt and appropriate for building on language. I've taken different language courses and this one gives you just enough to master and then builds on the learning. Great repetition and situational learning. Learners need to experience things in different ways. With hearing the lesson on my iPod and then seeing it in the PDF, I am getting it. Thanks to all for making the effort to have visitors not be tongue tied when they visit Indonesia. pj
Nothing but Praise
As a human needs worker I'm working on my third language. I'm not saying that after three months I'm a natural at Bahasa Indonesian but I can say that I've never had this type of material in any other language or media. This material is easy to follow and the pronunciation is as authenic as it comes. I live in Indonesia and I know. The material is well worth the time and effort. The premium material is even better.
Learning Indonesian is gentle fun
I was planning a visit to Indonesia, and downloaded this podcast because it was free. How do they say when you begin learning German, "Aller Anfang ist schwer"? Well with this podcast beginning Indonesian is NOT hard. Granted, I have only gone through the beginning podcasts, and I don't expect to become fluent. But I have learned a few words gently and without effort, and I am getting used to the sounds. I find the podcast instructive and nicely done, and I hope the authors can keep up their good work!
