Podcast Description
Daisy Miller is an 1878 novella by Henry James. It portrays the confused courtship of the eponymous American girl by Winterbourne, a compatriot of hers with much more sophistication. His pursuit of her is hampered by her own flirtatiousness, which is frowned upon by the other expatriates they meet in Switzerland and Italy. Her lack of understanding of the social mores of the society she so desperately wishes to enter ultimately leads to tragedy. (Summary from Wikipedia)

Love Henry James; Love LibriVox!
However scandalous this work may have been when it was first published, I find that Henry James's "Daisy Miller: A Study" is both elegant and sophisticated in its style and diction. He was truly a great writer and I look forward to reading more of his works. Many thanks to LibriVox for providing these podcasts! It is absolutely wonderful to have free access to such a vast collection of great writings! I have always wanted to read many of these stories in their entirety but will tend to lose focus after turning a few pages; however, in the LibriVox podcasts, there are various speakers who read aloud the chapters, verbatim. Beautiul! Thank you!
