Podcast Description

Join MAKE magazine for a Weekend project each week you can build yourself! MAKE is a quarterly publication from O'Reilly for those who just can't stop tinkering, disassembling, re-creating, and inventing cool new uses for the technology in our lives. It's the first do-it-yourself magazine dedicated to the incorrigible and chronically incurable technology enthusiast in all of us. MAKE celebrates your right to tweak, hack, and bend technology any way you want. MAKE on iTunes is produced by Kip Kay and Phillip Torrone.

Great content, but podcast not formatted for iPod!

I've enjoyed watching these so far, and the Make Magazine I picked up was great as well. The only problem is, these podcasts are not formatted for iPod. It can be converted from within iTunes, but this is a somewhat messy solution (you wind up with 2 versions of the podcast in your libarary) and really defeats the whole purpose of a simple subscription. Please, consider pre-formatting the podcast so I can play it on my iPod without monkeying around! 4 stars for content, minus 1 for format. 3 stars.

Make: an excellent source of do-it-yourself tech

It's really nice that O'REILLY is putting weight behind the whole DIY/Technology-Your-Way movement. More and more CORPORATE interests drive technology and the internet, so to have someone supporting the rights of the Tinkerers and Innovators is something we should all get behind!
