Customer Reviews
Great discussions about comedy!
Matt Kona has a great podcast that is definitely worth your time and the time of the guy in the cubicle next to yours! This podcast essentially gets people from the Boston Comedy Scene and has them talk about comedy. You probably have never heard of the people being interviewed, but don't let that dissuade you from listening to this. The interviews are very insightful and interesting. Very informative for aspiring comics and very entertaining for the rest. Subscribe to it now!
Good stuff
I look for two things in my podcasts: 1) interesting content; and 2) a lack of aggressive music and/or jarring sounds that would keep me awake. You see, I like to fall asleep to podcasts. They have to be interesting enough to keep my attention, but also quiet enough to allow me to fade off into slumberland. (The TV equivalent would be Charlie Rose on a good night). Comics Coming Up fits the bill, and as a comedy enthusiast, I enjoy hearing intelligent comics talk intelligently about comedy. So if you're like me - and why wouldn't you be - give this podcast a spin.
Quality Cast, Quality Dude
Matt Kona is a clever and likable (dare I say lovable?) comedian and now he's gone and put together a podcast. You'll get a nice insider look at [primarily] Boston comics, where insights are mingled with jokes and stories. A big one for me is that Kona's voice is not annoying, which is honestly a huge first step. Give this a listen and you will likely enjoy learning about the humanity and inhumanity of comics.
