This course is designed to educate participants about the Texas Advance Directive law, including why it was written, its enactment, the safeguards it affords physicians regarding treatment that is deemed medically inappropriate, as well as Memorial Hermann�s experience with the law in dealing with actual cases over the past six years. This Continuing Medical Education activity is designed to meet the educational needs of the active general medical staff of the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System.
