"Memories..." is to ST:TNG Season 1, like what "MST3K" is to Roger Corman Films

Wil Wheaton, in his latest masterstroke, humorusly recounts plot synopses and fond memories from the hit TV show "Star Trek: The Next Generation". Focusing on the first half of the first season, this podcast contains brilliant readings from his new book "Memories of the Future" (availible wherever you have internet access), and as slapdash as they may seem technically, there is a brilliance in how they are orchestrated. Wheaton is touted as the "King of Geeks" (aptly labeled & well deserved), and regardless of the title he is able to hold your rapt attention with these whimsical takes on such first season flops as "The Battle", "The Naked Now", and every Trekkie's favorite, "Code of Honor". If you decline to subscribe to this podcast "Then you shall have no treaty, no vaccine and no Lieutenant Yar!" Give it a listen, and if you like it, make sure to pick up "Memories of the Future" the book. You won't be disappointed!

Wheaton's Open Door

Full disclosure: I have never regularly watched Star Trek. Bonus: That doesn't matter. The humor Wil employs is perfect and well-scripted with every episode recap he records. You don't need to be an insider to get the jokes, but true Star Trek fans will - no - should love this. Each recap includes little bit of sarcastic wit, some genuine nostalgia, a lot of love, bits of fun interruptions and awesome sidetracking, and just a tiny bit of stabby. Oh, and Wesley Crusher imitations. Can't forget that. In these podcasts, Wil has this amazing ability to make you feel like he's personally telling you stories about his times on Star Trek, and his candor and openness makes us all feel like we're his friends, his inner circle. A rare and appreciated talent by all his fans. I look forward to every episode. -Melissa (aka mimi)

Dude, where's episode 1?????

Wil spends 5 minutes of episode two berating you for not listening to episode one, but there IS NO EPISODE ONE! Oh well, he eventually gets over it. I guess I will too.
