04/30/12: The College Basketball Champions League | How can college basketball be better? By changing everything about its regular and postseason. Seriously. The NCAA tournament is the best American postseason event. But you know what the best postseason event in the world is? The UEFA Champions League. It rewards the best teams, makes for the most interesting and competitive regular season, and offers two different kinds of titles, both respected in their own way. So what if college basketball modeled itself after the Champions League? Made a secondary tournament that was five times better than the NIT? The sport's popularity would go through the roof. Let SI.com's Andy Glockner and Bylaw Blog's John Infante, who join host Matt Norlander, explain to you how this could work. It's the offseason: let's have a little fun and a lot of imagination. | 4/30/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

04/25/12: Trillion Man Pod | Mark Titus is the most well-known walk-on in the history of college hoops. This became so after he started a blog, Club Trillion, during his playing days, from 2007 to 2010. Since he graduated, Titus put a lot of his time into writing a book. It's titled, "Don't Put Me in Coach," and it chronicles the entirety of his college career and then some. Titus joins Matt Norlander to chat how the book came to be, his relationship with Mike Conley Jr. and Greg Oden -- but most importantly, Evan Turner. Titus is critical of Turner throughout the book, but there's context that needs to be added to what he says. It's not all gossip, though. Titus is a huge fan of Lost, Bond for N64 and being lazy. You'll find you most likely have a lot in common with the man. | 4/25/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

04/18/12: Our first of many NBA draft pods to come | It's the best of both worlds: college hoops and the NBA. Host Matt Norlander brings on Eye on Basketball senior blogger Matt Moore to chat draft. With Kentucky's five underclassmen officially heading off to The Association, draft prep is ready to start in earnest. So what are teams doing right now? You might be surprised at how little anyone really knows, outside of Anthony Davis being the clear-cut No. 1 pick. Moore and Norlander talk a few guys who could really fluctuate in this year's draft, but overall, this is an intro to a few more pods coming down the pike as we prepare for what should be a pretty solid 2012 professional selection process. | 4/18/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

04/04/12: Final Four recap and the stories we can't tell you | Well ... that got out of hand. Meaning New Orleans. Pretty much all of it. Welcome back to the podcast, this being the first of many to come in the offseason. Matt Norlander brings back Gary Parrish and Jeff Goodman to recap the Final Four, but more importantly, tell you of the gallivanting that took place away from the Superdome. There are some great things to share, but plenty of others they can only allude to. Yes, there's also plenty of basketball talk as well. | 4/4/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

03/28/12: Uh oh, Goodman and Parrish are already in NOLA | You want the most entertaining podcast episode possible leading up to the Final Four? This one fits the bill. Gary Parrish and Jeff Goodman check in with host Matt Norlander. There is much to discuss, and the former two are already in New Orleans. They've got to talk about the city, the good and great things about it. Plenty of Louisville-Kentucky talk spans the pod; it's pretty much every angle you could expect the trio to hit on, plus more. And Kansas-Ohio State aren't shunned, either. Pot shots, memories of past experiences in New Orleans and debate over whether a Louisville win Saturday would be more crushing than Laettner beating UK in 1992. 03/27/12: Clark Kellogg sets up one of the biggest Final Fours ever | CBS Final Four color analyst Clark Kellogg comes back on the pod to chat his kid (Nick Kellogg, whose Ohio team made the Sweet 16), this incredible field of Final Four teams and what it's like to do this for a month. Being a key guy on a major network and getting to call Final Four games is not something you merely apply for. Kellogg has transitioned from studio host to color man with ease, and it's great to get inside his mind and discover how he works his craft so well. We hope you enjoy this special Tuesday podcast -- we'll have at least two more coming later this week. | 3/27/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

03/26/12: Doyel details the Final Four | CBSSports.com national columnist Gregg Doyel joins host Matt Norlander to set up what could be the most epic Final Four of the past 20 years. Kentucky vs. Louisville? Are you kidding? The hype for this matchup could actually be unlike anything college basketball has ever seen. Outside of the Bluegrass State bombast, the two discuss that other, you know, really great matchup between Ohio State and Kansas. And outside of that, Doyel gives us his impressions of the NCAAs up to this point. Has the tournament been a letdown? Are Lehigh and Norfolk State's wins the defining moment of this tournament? | 3/26/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

03/22/12: How our tournament-viewing experiences are changing forever | It's a special bonus podcast this week! The most reliable man on the Internet for sports videos, GIFs, screencaps and commentary is back. Deadspin's Tim Burke, who is also the founder of the house of fun that is Mocksession.com, hops on to discuss how much better/crazier/more evolved sports fans will become in the next decade thanks to advancements in both tech and production philosophies on behalf of TV networks. You think we're going to just watch games and check Twitter five years from now? No, the game will most definitely change. Burke is also an Ohio University alumnus, so his appearance is perfectly appropriate and timely, as he can pom-pom for his Bobcats in advance to their Sweet 16 game Friday night against North Carolina. | 3/22/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

03/21/12: Kendall Marshall's injury, coaches on the move and changing our Final Four picks | Matt Norlander brings back on those two rascals, Gary Parrish and Jeff Goodman, to look ahead to the second weekend of the NCAA tournament. Almost all the games are discussed, as is the coaching situations at Mississippi State, Illinois, VCU, South Carolina, Kansas State and Murray State. And of course these guys did not nail their Final Four picks, so a re-do is in order. | 3/21/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

03/19/12: What we loved and learned from the first 48 games | Two of the Web's best media digesters/analysts make their podcast debuts to discuss the play, the production and the TV experience from the first weekend of the NCAAs. Quickish founder Dan Shanoff and Sports Business Journal media ace John Ourand share their opinions on CBS and Turner's second year of broadcasting four games on four channels; the March Madness Live experiment on the Internet; why Twitter is the best sports bar you can attend; and what the biggest story lines going forward are for the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight. | 3/19/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

03/16/12: Ken Pomeroy evaluates the Round of 64, looks ahead to the weekend | Hello from Portland! How'd you like that Thursday? A lot went to bed feeling underwhelmed. Friday's podcast brings Ken Pomeroy back on. Ken's been writing a lot of stuff recently, stuff which host Matt Norlander had to spar with him a bit on. A 16 beating a 1 is supposed to happen this year, or so he says. He also thinks 3-point offense is something that can't really be controlled by teams' defense. How? We get into that. It's all tournament talk, start to finish. Good convo and certainly something you want to squeeze in at some point during your all-day watch session. | 3/16/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

03/13/12: Syracuse program looks worse with Melo news | The news that Fab Melo has been ruled ineligible due to a grades issue -- keeping him out of the NCAA tournament -- means that you've probably eliminated SU from reaching the Final Four. Normally, Gary Parrish and Jeff Goodman join Norlander for the Wednesday podcast, but since the Melo stuff is so big, we're getting this pod out on a Tuesday. Goodman checks in with his reporting on the issue, the guys address why Syracuse's reputation is pretty terrible right now, and look at grade/academic issues in college basketball in general. Don't worry -- there is bracket talk, too. Goodman and Parrish give their impressions of the field of 68 and make a few predictions. Plus: does UNC need to worry about John Henson's wrist? We have the answer as to whether or not he'll play by the weekend. | 3/13/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

03/12/12: Brackets, brackets, brackets. And more brackets. | The bracket is finally here -- and we can't stop talking about. Host Matt Norlander brings on colleague Jeff Borzello to talk about every angle of this field of 68. We know how you feel -- and we tap into it. You've got questions, convictions and qualifications about your picks. We promise all of them are touched on this pod. You can't stop absorbing everything related to the NCAA tournament. 03/07/12: Checking in from MSG | The podcast gets personal. Matt Norlander and Jeff Goodman record together from the Marriot Marquis hotel in Times Square, but don't worry -- Gary Parrish is on as usual for the Wednesday edition. The trio sticks to conference-tournament talk, as well as some Selection Sunday predictions. | 3/7/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

03/05/12: Arch Madness, March Madness and Championship Week | Sports Illustrated multi-faceted writer Luke Winn joins the podcast once again, and boy do we have a ton to talk about. What we promise: no bracketology talk! You can get that all over CBSSports.com. The Monday pod looks back at the great weekend in conference tournament play, as well as the wrap-up of the regular season in big-league games. Luke has a big story coming out in SI this week, so he talks in advance of that, plus he and host Matt Norlander take questions from Twitter followers on the Big Ten, Big East, SEC, ACC and tournament in general. | 3/5/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

03/02/12: Proof of the teams playing well and poorly heading into the NCAAs | The podcast brings on first-time guest Dan Hanner. He's a very smart writer for RealGM.com, doing analysis that's extremely valuable and extremely unique. Hanner and host Matt Norlander touch on things such as tangible proof of recruiting and developing players. Which coaches do it the best? Ben Howland does, and in the wake of the UCLA news, shouldn't he be given some credit? There's also a trend happening between teams playing extremely well--and not so well. Which ones are tournament-bound, and probably the ones you should avoid picking in your bracket? The two also touch on some of their favorite March memories and discuss how they began to love the sport so much. | 3/2/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

02/29/12: Are UCLA's problems fairly common in college basketball? | In the immediate wake of Sports Illustrated's piece on Ben Howland, Reeves Nelson and the culture of no accountability at UCLA, the podcast addresses why it's, really, not a huge deal. Nelson is no longer on the team, UCLA has a big recruiting class coming in -- and you could likely find these sorts of problems at most places not winning consistently right now. Why it's bad: Ben Howland's reputation takes a hit and it's unclear whether he ever separates himself from the past few years of bad chemistry and bad basketball. Aside from UCLA, Matt Norlander, Jeff Goodman and Gary Parrish touch on why UConn doesn't deserve an NCAA berth, if Draymond Green is worthy of the Player of the Year talking with Anthony Davis and Thomas Robinson; Ohio State; low-seeded teams they love to go far; and a verbal attack on Norlander from the other two over his final Power Pyramid. | 2/29/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

02/27/12: Jerry Palm hates all teams equally | CBSSports.com bracketlogist Jerry Palm isn't afraid to tell you how he really feels. Or, rather, how he thinks the tournament selection committee does, and will, when it picks the field of 68. Palm owns and operates CollegeRPI.com and he's Monday's guest on the podcast because he's got the at-large crop pinned down as well as anyone. He and Matt Norlander hit on a plethora of teams and their current situations. But there's more to today's episode than just talking teams and pontificating about their seed status. Palm is a Purdue grad, and so he gets to vent about the Boilers. If you want a good view of how the next two weeks will break down, get to listening. | 2/27/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

02/24/12: Seth Davis is back again and still defending the RPI | One of CBS' premier college basketball analysts joins Matt Norlander again on the podcast. Seth Davis is preparing to basically spend the next month sleeping at CBS headquarters, as he'll be providing insight and analysis for the network. So before he hunkers down, it was time to get him back on the pod. Seth and Matt have disagreements on the RPI's legitimacy -- and on Jordan Taylor's value and his season so far. The two also get into Duke. Why is the perception of this team so different and varied from week to week? Other topics: Draymond Green, defending the "bad" officials, tips on how to get the most out of your treadmill running. At the end of the pod, the guys share stories of how they fell in love with college basketball and March Madness when they were younger. | 2/24/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

02/22/12: Kentucky approaching its prime; why we're OK with court storms | Parrish had a drunk college kid help him with a flat tire. Goodman listens to Nickelback. This podcast keeps drifting away from college basketball -- but not for too long. The guys join host Matt Norlander to discuss Kentucky and its apparanet inevitable date with the Final Four. The comeback win at Mississippi State was ho-hum, and that's why the Cats look nearly unbeatable right now. In addition to UK talk, what about Jim Calhoun at UConn? Should/will he coach in the huge home game against Syracuse Saturday? And what's the program going to be when he leaves, whether that's this spring, next year or five years from now? The trio also squeezes in their opinions on rushing the floor and why it's OK. Then there's the story about Goodman hanging from a goal post. This is pretty much a mandatory listen today. | 2/22/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

02/20/12: Nate Silver, John Gasaway talk mock | The podcast reaches its wonky zenith today. John Gasaway, the driving force behind Basketball Prospectus, and Nate Silver, renowned New York Times statistical political and basketball blogger, join host Matt Norlander. All three were at the mock selection meetings last week in Indianapolis, where they saw how the NCAA Selection Committee goes through the process of picking 68 teams for the best tournament in the world. The process was a lot of fun, a lot of work and a bit flawed. All aspects are covered by the trio today. If you're interested in learning how the bracket is built, there is no better source of knowledge for enlightenment than today's podcast. 02/15/12: POY chase, Bruce Weber and Mock Selection | It's the Wednesday edition with Matt Norlander, Gary Parrish and Jeff Goodman. The fellas got up bright and early -- practically before dawn -- to record this one today. Norlander's got to catch a flight and Goodman's driving down to NYC, so an early recording was necessary. The fellas are awake -- mostly. As for the hoops talk, they cover: Is the SEC just not as good as we thought it was going to be? Is Bruce Weber forever on the hot seat at Illinois, and who would be the ideal guy to replace him if/when he goes? Speaking of Illinois coaches, the former one, Bill Self, is officially a magician with the way he's continuing to win at Kansas. | 2/15/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

02/13/12: Why big leagues, not small ones, need postseason change | CBS Sports Network analyst Wally Sczcerbiak comes back on the podcast to give his perspective on why big conferences don't need league tournaments -- but small ones do. He also shares how much he'd average in college today, which current player most reminds him of himself when he was at Miami University, and whether Kentucky is a cut above Syracuse right now. Plus, Wally's down on Baylor big-time, and he explains why. | 2/13/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

02/10/12: Why we still love Murray State and don't love Duke | Now that Murray State's lost it's time to ignore them again, right? Wrong! Pod host Matt Norlander explains, with fellow CBSSports.com writer Jeff Borzello, why the Murray State story is still intriguing. This weekend is also stacked with a lot of good/important games. What are the six or seven best? We lay it out for you. The guys also have to talk about the incredible Duke-Carolina game and how far Austin Rivers has come. Is he a top-three freshman this year? Who are the top 10 freshman? Borzello reveals his list. Borzello also runs the recruiting coverage for the site, and with the news that No. 1 recruit Shabazz Muhammad said he'll wait until at least April to pick his school, Borzello breaks down why that's smart and the methodology behind it. | 2/10/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

02/08/12: Is Kentucky now considered a cut above? | After the way Kentucky won so convincingly, and how Ohio State barely got by Purdue, is it now that UK is on a shelf higher than other teams? Pod host Matt Norlander says no, but Jeff Goodman and Gary Parrish disagree. The trio talks both Buckeyes and Wildcats, then gets to looking at the Duke-UNC game, which doesn't have the urgency it's had in the past. Duke is coming off that loss to Miami, and a double-digit fall to UNC wouldn't be shocking at all. In other news, Memphis is headed to the Big East. Why is that really good for Memphis, really good for the Big East and not all that great for Memphis coach Josh Pastner? The guys also hammer UConn for its incredible fall as of late. | 2/8/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

02/06/12: NFL hands the baton to college hoops | SI.com bracket fellow Andy Glockner comes back on the pod to address, big picture, how GOOD this year's at-large crop is. There are many facets to cover and many angles to predict. Today's podcast covers a lot of them, including seeding issues with the committee and why the Pac-12 is becoming more and more troublesome. Murray State, Harvard and UConn are also addressed, as is Sunday night's Super Bowl. We couldn't not talk about the big game after that finish. 02/03/12: Plenty of big games before the Big Game this weekend | Matt Norlander and Bizarro Matt Norlander, ESPN.com college hoops blogger Eamonn Brennan, have collided their worlds again on the podcast. The two fledgling scribes swap stories about moving and Super Bowl parties and argue over Lost and Dave Matthews Band. As for hoops, there's much more agreement. Murray State's on the docket, as is unpredictable Indiana and the terrific slate of games that are coming this weekend, all a great appetizer to Super Bowl Sunday. | 2/3/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

02/01/12: Which teams are running out of gas? | How does one run out of gas more than 30 miles from home? Jeff Goodman has the answer -- because it happened to him last Friday after covering Iona-Fairfield. Goodman and Gary Parrish join Matt Norlander for the usual-yet-not-so-usual Wednesday show. Hoops-wise, the fellas discuss Pittsburgh's surge, Conference USA's big game Wednesday night, Kentucky's eventual shift as the clear-cut top team, and examine the latest field of 68 from CBSSports.com bracketologist Jerry Palm. | 2/1/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

01/30/12: Back from the road trip | College basketball's most epic road trip this season has finished, and since the duo behind Ballin' is a Habit made it back after their three-week cross-country trip in one piece, we had to get them on shortly after they walked in the door to tell their tale. From Kentucky to Wisconsin to Ohio to Tennessee to Missouri to Kansas to Utah and back, there are many things to share. After the road stories finish, the guys and host Matt Norlander address the Ryan Boatright situation at UConn, why he's so little of what's ailing the Huskies, and where the rest of the Big East is going this season. Plus -- other things that stood out from what turned out to be a surprising weekend in college hoops. | 1/30/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

01/27/12: Pat Forde makes his podcast debut | Yahoo Sports' national college columnist Pat Forde comes on the show for the first time to give tips on where to go in New Orleans for the Final Four, his new duties at Yahoo after leaving ESPN two months ago -- and of course so much hoops. Pat's one of the few national guys to have seen undefeated Murray State in person. He gives his impression of that team and how they're similar to another group that once made a national title game. Pat is a Missouri alumnus who didn't expect Frank Haith to amount to much, yet the Tigers are a top-five team, so it's time to eat some crow. Also: Pat and host Matt Norlander agree Indiana's best basketball is behind it this season. The two also lament how this season, so far, hasn't had the juice or oomph that many hoped/expected. Why? | 1/27/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

01/25/12: Happy birthday, Gary Parrish | Our weekly Wednesday show with Gary Parrish and Jeff Goodman is goofier than usual. That's a good thing. Goodman explains which college basketball coach is closest to Bill Belichick. Parrish, who just turned 35, shares his philosophies on birthdays and why he was OK spending his night watching the State of the Union. Norlander almost dies from laughing at one point. Oh, right, basketball -- the fellas discuss Purdue's troubles, North Carolina's title chances without Dexter Strickland, the Duke student section not selling out, and how about college basketball just lacking oomph so far? That's the unfortunate truth. The sport isn't sexy at the moment. That said, the BracketBusters games are coming up and Goodman's plan for organizing the event is filled with hilarious loopholes. | 1/25/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

01/23/12: Seth Davis on Syracuse, Duke, Murray State, more | One of, if not the biggest, names in college basketball sportswriting, Seth Davis, is back on the program. All that great football overshadowed what transpired in hoops, so we're here so you can hear all about it. What were the biggest results? What of Fab Melo not playing at Syracuse? Why can't we focus on the positive with Murray State? And why on earth does Seth root for the Redskins? All extremely important topics that are covered in the Monday edition. 01/20/12: Jay Bilas makes his return | Bilas is back! Oh, and why Digger Phelps is who he is. | 1/20/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

01/18/12: Syracuse, Baylor, Kansas, Carolina -- everything about them | Have the perceptions of Kansas and North Carolina greatly changed in the past few days? They have for Gary Parrish and Jeff Goodman. CBSSports.com's senior college basketball writers hop on, as usual, for the Wednesday pod with host Matt Norlander to discuss why Kansas is probably going to win the Big 12 again; why Baylor isn't the Final Four-ready team many have said it is; why North Carolina won't win the title (and it's more than the 33-point loss to Florida State); and the 20-0 Syracuse Orange? One of the three says it's all but a lock that this team is going to the Final Four. But before we get to talking about basketball, Gary's house almost burned down Monday night, so that comes first. 01/16/12: UNC can't win a title now because they lost by 33? | If a team gets beatdown like UNC did at Florida State Saturday, does it mean they won't win the title? Well, nobody's ever lost by 33 and done it before. No one's ever lost by more than 27 in a season and gone on to win it all. CBSSports.com recruiting savant and bro supreme Jeff Borzello calls in from the Hoop Hall Classic to discuss Carolina's chances, as well as Roy Williams taking his team off the floor before that game was over. Borzello and Matt Norlander also get into the Ryan Boatright situation at UConn -- he's sitting out of games again, pending NCAA review of his eligibility -- as well as a look ahead to tonight's huge game: Baylor at Kansas. | 1/16/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

01/13/12: Can the ACC be salvaged this season? | No one knows ACC basketball like Jim Young, the funny/snarky presence who runs ACCSports.com. Young joins Matt Norlander fresh off that three-point Duke win over Virginia Thursday night. Virginia did a lot of good there. But beyond Mike Scott, what do the Cavs have? The duo also dishes on Harrison Barnes -- they disagree on how good he is -- and the fact UNC's become a bit of an afterthought right now. Duke, Austin Rivers also get debated. Is Rivers not getting enough control of the offense? And as for the ACC as a whole, is it doomed to three bids? Who's going to step up and play itself into the No. 4 spot? Maryland can in the coming two weeks, actually. | 1/13/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

01/11/12: Does college hoops lack 25 top-level players? | There's a grouping of surprising college basketball teams who've yet to feel the swoon of conference play. But are they for real? Gary Parrish and Jeff Goodman present their cases. The guys also discuss UConn's Final Four chances, why they'll come together. There's also the matter of the Mountain West, which Matt Norlander believes is the fourth-best league in hoops, better than the ACC and Pac-12. Goodman and Parrish can't quite go there. The guys gab for 40 minutes. You know what you're getting at this point: unfiltered bickering mixed in with some smart analysis. | 1/10/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

01/09/12: Why the Mountain West is so much better than the Pac-12 | We can't turn our heads anymore. The Pac-12 is miserably bad, perhaps continuing in the worst season in its existence -- that dates back to when it was the Pac-8 and the Pac-10. What's the reason for this? Is it doomed to become a one-bid league? Matt Norlander and guest Jeff Eisenberg say no, even if you want to upchuck your dinner just following this league. Today's 'cast isn't all negative, though. Jeff and Matt give their top five non-BCS teams and also wax on the Mountain West, which is down to just eight teams thanks to realignment, but what an eight-club crew it is. Could the MWC be the fourth-best conference in basketball? Listen to find out why it's true. | 1/9/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

01/06/12: What Was the Last Great Game? | Twenty years after Christian Laettner hit arguably the most memorable shot in college basketball history, it's time to look back on that game and ask if it's the best the sport's seen. ESPN.com senior national columnist Gene Wojciechowski wrote the book that is a college writer's dream: a complete chronicle of everything that led up to, produced and fell out from Duke's 104-103 win against Kentucky on March 28, 1992, in the East Regional finals. Wojciechowski's book, "The Last Great Game: Duke vs. Kentucky and the 2.1 Seconds That Changed College Basketball" is on sale now. He discusses how the title came to be, his best interviews, Rick Pitino's feelings about the game 20 years later, and how Pearl Jam ties into all of this. Today's podcast is a college hoops junky's dream. A great discussion -- enjoy. | 1/6/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

01/04/12: Who's the best point guard? And our midseason awards | We're in the throes of conference play now, so the podcast takes this opportunity to share the best and worst of the college hoops season so far. How can Syracuse be overrated? Matt Norlander, Jeff Goodman and Gary Parrish also discuss the state of Michigan State, Wisconsin -- and that crazy clock ending to their Tuesday night game. Additionally, Joe Jackson opted to not transfer from Memphis. Goodman and Parrish know Jackson well, and they shed light on who he is, why he stayed and Memphis' overall state of existence right now. Finally: Jarnell Stokes should not play at Tennessee this year. He could be an NBA player. He might not be one. But the Tennessee transfer needs to sit tight. | 1/4/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

01/02/12: College hoops road trip! | The cross-country American road trip. A staple of how our nation's citizens and families find unfamiliar ways to bond -- and loathe. Rob Dauster and Troy Machir, the fellas who run Ballin' is a Habit, will embark on a three-week gallivant from D.C. to Indiana to Missouri to Wisconsin to Kansas to Utah and about six other states as well. They join the podcast to share their itinerary, all the things involved in a massive, enviable college hoops trip like this. The two also discuss, with host Matt Norlander, recent goings-on in the sport, like how Duke sneaked itself into a top-five ranking, and why Georgetown isn't getting respect. | 1/2/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

12/30/11: Extensive preview of Louisville-Kentucky | On Saturday at noon on CBS, one of college basketball's best rivalries -- some say it's the best -- will be renewed when Louisville heads into Rupp Arena to face Kentucky. Plenty aren't giving U of L much of a chance. Is that fair? Kentucky Sports Radio's Matt Jones joins host Matt Norlander to discuss how this week has been. Jones is based out of Louisville and has become the fan's voice for UK hoops. The two look ahead to the game but also chat about how Kentucky hasn't clicked as a team yet, even though it only has one loss. Jones also shares his thoughts about which teams are most capable of reaching the Final Four. | 12/30/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

12/28/11: Don't Trust Rick Pitino; Doug McDermott is CBB's best unknown star | It's that soft spot between Christmas and New Year's, but lots of good basketball is about to get going thanks to conference play starting in earnest. Jeff Goodman, Gary Parrish and Matt Norlander have their weekly Wednesday podcast and discuss Jordan Taylor's somehow underrated play this year; Creighton's Doug McDermott is about to explode on the national college hoops landscape; Rick Pitino can't be trusted; and this week is so huge for Louisville. The next three games, really: Wednesday vs. Georgetown; Saturday at Kentucky; Jan. 3 against St. John's. | 12/28/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

12/23/11: The Unlikeliest Podcast | Fresh off winning the third national title in program history, Aaron Torres wasted no time writing the story of college basketball's most unlikely champion. Yeah, UConn's a national program with top-rated recruits coming in almost every year, but the 2010-11 team wasn't expected to make the NCAA tournament, let alone win the title, by some people. Torres joins Matt Norlander to discuss his first book, "The Unlikeliest Champion," which chronicles all the details of the amazing run. Hear stories you've not yet been privy to, and see why last year's Huskies were so special. The two also address this year's team, which has more talent, but could very well fall short of doing what last season's squad accomplished. | 12/23/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

12/21/11: Year in Review, Part Two | It's Part Two of our look-back on college hops in 2011. But before Gary Parrish, Jeff Goodman and Matt Norlander get to talk about the memories, events and games that shaped the best of the sport this year, the trio addresses for the first time the Todd O'Brien situation at St. Joseph's, a story that continues to have legs and is in need of answers. After that, it's the retrospective, followed by some holiday thoughts, memories, and cheer. Get some hot chocolate, throw a log on the fire and enjoy. | 12/21/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

12/20/11: Todd O'Brien speaks about Phil Martelli | Todd O'Brien's story caught fire in college sports circles Monday, and so we had him on to tell his side of the story for a special Tuesday podcast. O'Brien played at St. Joseph's the past two seasons, graduated over the summer, and transferred to UAB for grad school. St. Joe's coach Phil Martelli still has not signed a waiver allowing him to play there. It's an unsual case, one that O'Brien claims stems from Martelli feeling slighted by O'Brien leaving. O'Brien tells his story, including the laptop-theft incident from last February, which some believe relates to this situation; O'Brien says that's not the case. | 12/20/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

The two also discuss the weak Pac-12 and some underachieving teams with real chances to make the 2012 tournament. Since it's Christmastime, there is some holiday talk, such as favorite Christmas music and movies, and best memories of Decembers past. | 12/19/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

12/16/11: Pay the players? Not anymore | In case you missed it, college players will no longer be afforded a $2,000 cost-of-attendance stipend bump. After the NCAA voted it into legislation, more than 125 colleges stood up and voted against it this week, mandating the legislation to be tabled indefinitely. Veteran USA Today columnist Christine Brennan comes on the podcast to discuss the issue, plus the reputation of college sports. Is this fair? Is Title IX going to stand in the way of this? Brennan also shares some of her stories with Pat Summitt, and she and host Matt Norlander discuss why the Penn State and Syracuse scandals do little to actually change the interest in college sports. | 12/16/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

12/14/11: Our College Basketball Dream Teams | If you could assemble an entire college basketball program -- coaches, players, recruits, the whole she-bang -- but with certain stipulations, how would you do it? We undertook that project at CBSSports.com recently, and so Jeff Goodman and Gary Parrish join host Matt Norlander to discuss who they all took and why. Much debate. Much talk of "spacing," which is clearly important to Goodman. Additionally, the guys put the finishing touches on Cincy-Xavier commentary and look at Syracuse strictly from a hoops perspective and warning signs with Ohio State and Memphis. | 12/14/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

12/12/11: All that's wrong from the Cincy-Xavier fight/fallout | There was a national writer at the Cincinnati-Xavier brawl Saturday, and we've brought him on the podcast to discuss every angle of this story. Mike DeCourcy of Sporting News lives in the Cincinnati area and knows the two programs as well as anyone. Did he see this coming? Why were star players on the court in the closing seconds of a blowout? DeCourcy and Matt Norlander disagree on the severity of the suspensions -- the latter thinks they're too soft. And isn't it clear the coaches weren't the ones calling the shots with the player suspensions? We also squeeze in room for the biggest basketball only-related topic from the weekend: Indiana's buzzer-beating win against Kentucky. This doesn't mean Indiana's all the way back, but the Hoosiers still provided a top-10 moment for this season with that W. | 12/12/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

12/09/11: In which we take out the Pom Poms | Ken Pomeroy houses the stat sanctuary that is kenpom.com. It's become a go-to place for fans and writers and coaches alike. Pomeroy joins host Matt Norlander to discuss how much information can and should be gleaned after one month of the season has passed us by. There are trends to take note of, but where should the line be drawn? Among other topics: unabashedly bashing CBSSports.com national writer Jeff Goodman, who is not a big believer in kenpom.com stats, and looking at just how historically bad Utah is this year. For a major-conference team, they are off to a start we've seldom seen before. If you'd like to know why the Big Ten is the best conference so far, that's included as well. 12/07/11: December hoops/Watching that Throne | It's Wednesday, so that means Goodman and Parrish are back on the podcast. Parrish saw Jay-Z and Kanye Saturday night, so we have to lead with how the show everyone's talking about went. Playing the same song eight times in a row? That apparently happened. After the music gabbing, it's on to the hoops, of course. Ben Howland refusing to kick Reeves Nelson off the team, Marquette's ability, Missouri as an elite team, Goodman and Norlander yelling at each other about Marcus Denmon. Oh, this is a good one, indeed. Then there's the Big Ten/Big East debate, which is increasing (we're totally responsible for this). | 12/7/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

12/05/11: Draft stock talk, best conference in the country and why Wisconsin is so polarizing | Jason McIntyre has built up the most successful independent sports blog in Internet history. He runs TheBigLead.com. He also happens to be a fanatical college hoops fan. So he joins the podcast for the first time, as he and host Matt Norlander get into that UNC-UK game, why the Big Ten is or isn't the best league, the myth of Wisconsin, and more. Much more. Are you a stats guy? Jason's not. Norlander is. There's some barroom banter to be had. One of the livelier podcasts to date, we think think you'll enjoy. | 12/5/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

11/30/11: Should Jim Boeheim keep his job? | The Syracuse/Bernie Fine/Jim Boeheim story is the biggest story in college basketball right now. There are a lot of nuanced elements to it -- then there is what people are naturally gravitating toward: Should Jim Boeheim keep his job? A fair question. It deserves a conversation on our podcast, so Gary Parrish and Jeff Goodman discuss it with host Matt Norlander. They do talk plenty of basketball as well, though, so if the Syracuse topic is starting to become white noise to you, feel free to just skip ahead to the Duke bashing! Now plenty want Jim Boeheim gone too, after his initial statements dismissed any allegations, calling the alleged victims "liars" out for a payday. USA Today reporter Nicole Auerbach -- who covered the Penn State story recently -- comes on the podcast to discuss the latest with what's happening at Syracuse. She and host Matt Norlander also recap the weekend, including the losses from No. 1 UNC and No. 4 UConn. 11/18/11: Sorting out the Syracuse Saga | The sexual-m*********n allegations against Syracuse assistant basketball coach Bernie Fine have turned college basketball on its head in the past 24 hours. But this is a story that was first sought to go public in 2003. Syracuse Post-Standard reporter Mike Waters, who's been around the Orange basketball program for 23 years, comes on the podcast to talk about why he and the Post-Standard did not run with this story in 2003, shortly before SU won its first men's basketball championship. And why is this happening now? What of Jim Boeheim's quick and angry denial of all these charges against a man he's known for almost 50 years?
