Great MMA Show

Its great that Sherdog.com has finally started their own radio show. Sherdog.com is pretty much the place for MMA fans to hang out and talk about Pride, UFC, KOTC, etc... TJ and Gross do a great job. Any show that has Royce Gracie, Georges Saint Pierre, and BJ Penn in their first 4 shows is a great show. These guys are the leaders in MMA journalism and Beatdown is a great show. Add Beatdown to mmaweeklyradio.com and their Soundoff with Ryan Bennett and Frank Trigg and you have all the MMA radio you will need.

Meh

Jack is the only one who isn't irritating. At least he sounds like he enjoys the show. TJ, as mentioned by another, comes off as a Jerk. He has a terrible attitude, and is pretty arrogant. I doubt he likes his job much, if at all. Lutvi has little to offer in analysis. His go to phrases are "there's something to be said" and "it is what it is", and use them to generalist his opinions to make you think he has one.

Brandon is a troll who thinks himself to be funny and hardcore. He's on every episode, and is the reason the show loses fans and credibility every week. He is the first caller for every episode, opens up with a corny joke no one cares about. The hosts try to legitimize him by feeding the troll. Then they laugh together at their jokes, and that laugh is the most irritating thing you'll ever hear. He ends with another corny joke/rundown and this all wastes 15-20 minutes every show. Of all the hardcore mma fans, this guy makes every show?

So to sum it up, just skip to the interviews.

Beatdown - NYT of MMA PODCASTS.

The MMA Podcast of Record - MMA WEEKLY has a good one as well - but they don't put it open to the public - so until they do they cant be part of the conversation. This is the Number 1 - MMA Podcast - end of story. Its not perfect - but its dam good. While we all want to see Host TJ get his tech issues, his weight cutting (for his upcoming fight vs his host) and the pains of training behind him - you at least get wrapped into his ongoing tragedies as if it where an hour long drama - but you find yourself rooting for him - because of his weekly encounters w/ on going foil Josh Gross. Gross in addition to being one of MMA finest reporters - its also a bit of a cranky a-hole - the Best MMA reporter in the bizness - but a bit of dick side on the radio - and it can add to the back and forth on the this MMA podcast. Doesn't change this podcast from being the NEW YORK Times off MMA Podcasts. It really is the best out there. They give the best news and analysis - and there are few podcasts that update as frequently and are more entertaining..
