From their recital of October 27, 2015, the DePauw Faculty Woodwind Ensemble (flutist Anne Reynolds, oboist Leonid Sirotkin, clarinetist Randy Salman, bassoonist Kara Stolle, and horn professor Robert Danforth) perform the three movements of Gunther Schuller's Suite: Prelude, Blues, and Toccata.

SOURCES From their performance of September 20, 2015, the DePauw University Orchestra, under the direction of Orcenith Smith, performs the fourth movement, Allegro non troppo, from Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5 in D Minor, op. 47. At this week’s recital hour, Decoda members violinist Anna Elashvili, violist Nathan Schram, and cellist Caitlin Sullivan performed the first movement, Adagio - Allegro con brio, from Ludwig van Beethoven’s op. 9, no. 1 string trio. From their performance of October 7th, the DePauw Jazz Ensemble, led by Steve Snyder, performs Frank Foster’s “Four, Five, Six.”

Sweet Honey in the Rock Hannah Gauthier talks to singers Dallas Gray and Marin Tack about the choirs’ recent performance of Benjamin Britten’s monumental “Rejoice in the Lamb...” we send music history professor Elissa Harbert on a tropical vacation with malfunctioning personal electronics... we chat with banjoist Jayme Stone about his visit and his innovative approach to keeping traditional music exciting and engaging... and choir director Kristina Boerger comes in to talk about our next Green Guest Artists, the phenomenal all-female vocal ensemble Sweet Honey in the Rock!
