Nate Manic and the 30,000 Watt Baby- Live @ Nexus! | Greetings friends- Recently I had the extreme honor of playing the Wednesday night/Thursday morning pre-sunrise set at Burning Man's NEXUS- arguably the best and highest profile dance camp located directly on the 10 o'clock corner of the Esplanade. This year Manic went totally rogue... camping under the radar, being completely anonymous for the week and playing under the assumed name of "30,000 Watt Baby" so I wouldn't tip anyone off to my presence. It was completely f*cking awesome. :) For those of you that were able to catch the set, thank you for sharing such an amazing morning and I hope this serves as a reminder of the energy and goodwill that the festival is supposed to stand for in the first place. BAD ADVICE LIVE @ Smart Bar | I am pleased to present the fruits of my labors over the last 7 months, captured live at one of the nation's premier venues alongside one of North America's biggest DJ/producers. This Saturday night closing set was recorded live at Smart Bar after Chicago/San Fran transplant Kaskade on February 2nd 2008 and features 11 brand new tracks that will be released on my record label, Bad Advice Inc. over the next few months. A Few Notes... 1). There was a small recording glitch at 3:40. Sorry. 2). I'll never understand why I can't keep my hands off the echo effect on Pioneer 5,6 and 800 mixers. It's an affliction.
