Podcast Description
For 60 minutes, you will become a New Orleans local. See the City of Ghosts through the eyes of Brent Baudean, and experience the most soulful city in America. You will walk into a local favorite corner store. You will learn where you can order an absinthe (yep, they will serve it). And you will even meet a voodoo priestess. The tour features an original soundtrack -- an avant-garde mix of jazz, electronica, Dixieland, and goth. A blend almost as wild the city herself. Be sure to print out the PDF map and bring it with you. This tour starts at the fountain in Jackson Square – in the heart of New Orleans.

New Orleans Audissey
This is wonderful. I have been to New Orleans many times and listening to this takes me right down those beloved streets again. I agree with the narrator, there is so much more to New Orleans and the French Quarter than Bourbon Street. If you love the “true” New Orleans you will love this and will listen to it over and over. Thank you for this cherished Podcast.
The real New Orleans
LOVE THIS! I have been to New Orleans so many times looking for the feeling I got while reading about the city and never found it. Instead of finding magic and mystery I found my boobs being grabbed by drunk guys and ill advised dining choices. We are taking my daughter for her first trip to see the city in December and I will have this awesome podcast memorized by the time we get there. It takes you on a fantastic walking tour of some of the most mystical places & gives away a few juicy tidbits about each one. It is also humorous and not at all stuffy as some travel podcasts can get which only increases the pure pleasure of listening to it- Grab a drink, sit back , listen & dream. Merci de ce podcast!!
Taking me back
I'm a repeat visitor to New Orleans, and today feeling nostalgic, popped on this podcast. I'm lucky enough to have visited many of the places our guide lists, I wish I had this info 11 years ago on my first trip. Most definitely take his advice on The Spotted Cat, all due respect to Disney, but the front bar there is the happiest place on earth.
