Podcast Description
Couch to 5k is a running plan designed to get complete beginners from being a couch potato to running 5k (or 30 minutes) in nine weeks. It is: - Achievable - starting with a mix of running and walking and building up slowly - Virtually free - all you need is a decent pair of trainers and an MP3 player (a regular mobile phone will do) - Easy - a motivating 'personal trainer' tells you exactly when to stop and start The plan sets three runs per week with a day of rest between each run.

Great Voice & Excellent Tunes
I love Laura's British accent and the motivating music. Best so far!
Exactly what I was looking for!
I had started the "Couch to 5K" program on Sparkpeople, but was finding that watching the seconds tick by was not fun, nor motivating. So, in my quest to find something good to listen to, I found this podcast. It's great! This makes getting started with running very easy. "Laura" tells you when to run, when to walk, and gives tips and encouragement. And, she has a cute accent. I'm on week 3. If I can do this, so can you! I'm 47 years old, 35 lbs overweight, and HATE exercise:) Highly recommended.
