off to a Great Start!
Candid and approachable. Knuckles is just nice to listen to; her passion really comes through. Don't miss the interview with Professor Gary Francione.
Thank you for keeping me inspired
I received an iPod from my husband for Christmas and started perusing the podcast offerings on iTunes. I first discovered Vegetarian Food for Thought, then Vegan Freaks, then NZ Vegan. I enjoy all three immensely and I learn new things from each of them. I particularly liked Knuckles podcast on animals in entertainment, especially thinking about animals being used in movies, as I had not really thought much about this before in relation to being a vegan and was glad to be made more aware of it. Knuckles presents the information in a calm and non-judgmental way (and she has a great accent!) but she gets across her passion about the issue. It is such a challenge in this society to be a vegan, not in terms of finding food to eat, but in "coming out" and admitting you are a vegan for ethical reasons- why should that be so hard?- and I am feeling quite vulnerable at this stage, although I have shared it with friends who I trust. Thanks Knuckles for helping to keep me inspired and on the right track. Please keep doing your podcasts :)
show gets better all the time!
This is definitely someone who knows what they are talking about! Elizabeth is passionate about veganism, and she is totally relaxed just giving the news and her take on popular culture. Even though I live in the US, I still enjoy hearing about the happenings of abolitionist vegans in NZ!
