Welcome to the Ongoing History of New Music Minute --- the 60 second condensed version of the hour-long Ongoing History of New Music. The Ongoing History of New Music is the longest running music documentary program in Canada. Since its inception in 1993, Alan Cross has written and produced 500 one hour episodes. This show is syndicated on rock stations across the country through C.I.I.S. including: 102.1 the Edge Toronto, 99.3 the FOX in Vancouver, Power 97 in Winnipeg, FM96 in London and Y108 in Hamilton. Finally, it's a podcast, or is it :(
I have listened to Allen Cross' ongoing history of new music for years now. I live north of Buffalo, NY, and am able to pick up Canadian radio stations, what's up Ontario, so I listen to his show each week off of 102.5 FM, out of Toronto. I've been waiting forever for this to come out in podcast form and finally it's here, or is it? I was disappointed to find out these are only 60 second snippets cut from the actual show. I'm still giving it four stars cause Allen rocks but please please post the shows in there entirety. It would be the #1 podcast without a doubt. The ongoing history of new music is the most informative and entertaining show about music that exists. You will learn so much obscure behind the scenes information about bands and have fun doing it. Thanks Allen. Oh ya, I'm the first to comment suckas!

I agree with the other guy who rated this podcast. I used to drive back and forth from Ohio to Buffalo, NY. Once in a while I'd get lucky; somewhere around Ashtabulah,OH I would get in about 30 minutes of a Canadian station that carried this show and I've been yearning for it ever sense. Only a minute doesn't give you a good idea of how well researched and entertaining the radio version is. Allen, if you're out there, people who can't get in your stations need your full show on iTunes!

Given how this is so widely broadcast over Canada and now it's even on the air in Buffalo, to put a one-minute snippet pretty much states the obvious.
