My favorite movie podcast that I'm not a part of

This is one of the best movie podcasts around. The hosts are not only funny, charming, and engaging, but also genuinely passionate and knowledgable about the subject. Listening to them go back and forth is like having a fantastically nerdy conversation of your own with your best film-going buddies. And while I don't always agree with their opinions, I certainly respect them. Comes with my highest recommendation.

Operation Kino is Kinda Awesome

I don't always review podcasts on iTunes, but when I do, it's because Matt Patches told me to.

Op Kino is consistently my favorite film podcast. It has sharp wits, an intelligent female host (which is way hot), too many Daves (which is hotter), and I would write more but there's a new episode today.

Thanks!

Funny, Informative, and Intelligent

I started listening to Operation Kino in November of 2011, and haven't looked back.

The podcasters, Katey, Patches, David, and Da7e, are all involved in film criticism/production. This might seem to imply that their opinions are laced with box office stats and inside baseball. There's some of that (not unluckily), but they're also capable of discussing movies with a palpable sense of layperson fandom.

They all have unique, thoughtful things to say, and you'll get to know each of them pretty well. In a way, their personalities could almost give birth to a Sex and the City-esque identity game (sorry, it had to be said): are you a Katey? Or perhaps a David? After a few episodes, you'll genuinely feel like the fifth guy in the room, chatting with your buds about movies,

In all seriousness, I'd highly recommend this podcast. You'll come for the intelligent film banter, and come back for the podcasters.
