Educate yourself
Dr. Oz seems to be getting the heat here, but he presented the same up-to-date science as high quality sources such as Harvard's Women's Wellness Newsletter. It sounds revolutionary because we are in a huge transition period with a new way of looking at things. It's at Saturday Evening Post (a medical mag these days), AARP mag, so it's getting mainstream. Even the US Govt is coming around--look at their most recent recommendations for fitness and the Mediterranean Diet. Also, Dr. Oz was very clear that they purposely chose a variety of ideas because medicine is headed that way. I think Bob Greene and Dr. Oz view things similarly. No one should make important changes in their life after hearing one source; hopefully people who took the trouble to register for the webcasts would follow up with more research.
Thanks Oprah
thanks for the honesty and the great week of shows!!!
If you missed the show, the podcast is great!
Yes, Oprah has struggled with her weight, so thank you those that felt it necessary waste words and state the obvious. However, the purpose of this podcast is to share the medical advice that she is receiving in hopes that it will benefit others. She is surrounded by a team of experts offering their opinions and advice on the matter of how to lose weight. Oprah brings these experts to center stage to share their observations and sometimes unconventional wisdoms with us lay people who would normally not be able to afford advice from such esteemed doctors. So to the slightly um....."slow"...people that are asking these asinine questions and making these elementary analysis without actually offering feedback on the podcast...quit being negative and watch the podcast already! Its great!
