From Non-Fiction Book to Feature Film for Television - Oct 04,2011 | NO LONGER SILENT by Tammy Gagnon Tammy woke up one night to find her paternal grandfather kneeling beside the bed, his hand stroking her private parts. He warned her to be quiet or risk “getting her ass whipped.” That touching quickly escalated to oral sex and other intimacies. Tammy Gagnon was just nine year old when this m*********n filled her young mind with guilt and rage. Like so many other victims of this horrendous crime, she felt the blame was hers, not the abusers. Under the strict rule that “what happens in our house stays in our house” and could not be discussed even with other family members, Tammy could not fill her desperate need to share her distress. Despite her dysfunctional home life—the physical abuse of family members by her alcoholic father and the austerity of her rigid mother who cloaked very controversy with silence—Tammy’s early childhood was relatively comfortable. She was well-behaved at home and an “A” student in school. At age 14, as her body began to mature and her emotional needs changed, the consequences of the trauma bottled-up within her became evident. Tammy ran away from home with a carnival roust-about. The drinking she had begun a year earlier increased and her addiction to drugs began. Over the next five years, she ran away from home repeatedly in a frantic search for a way to expunge the furies that ravaged her mind.... “My Journey to Peace” - Sep 02,2011 | “My Journey to Peace” What is peace? I started asking this question to people as I journeyed to find peace myself. When I ask the question, people, without fail, have to think hard about what it means to them. They then have to think about whether or not they have personally found it. The truth is that I did not think about my own peace until God instructed me that I would be writing a book about it. I was riding in my car in February 2005 and I heard God speak to me. I was accustomed to hearing His voice, so I was certain that it was God and not my own little imagination. First, He gave me the title; I questioned Him as to what the words meant. He responded that they were the title of a book I was writing. I of course said that I was not writing a book, because at the time I was neither writing a book or considering the task. Prior to this project, I had only written poetry and a small number of Bible studies; so I was a little surprised to hear the voice of God telling me that I was writing a book. As it turned out, I had been living my book and now He wanted it in writing. According to Carol Lynne Watson, author of My Journey to Peace, “There is a great amount of peace in living the life you choose. When you are living your life “on purpose”, doing the things that bring you joy and contentment, you will find happiness and that happiness leads to peace. You have to find your own peace. I did not always take the bold steps toward peace. Then something very simple happened.” Call-in LIVE to find out how Ms. Watson found her peace and how you too can live your life “on purpose” and find the peace you desire, as well! Author/Expert, Hugh Taylor - Jun 24,2011 | “The Life Reset” My name is Hugh Taylor. I doubled my income during the Great Recession by treating failure as a gift. 10 years out of Harvard Business School, I was stuck in a low level cold calling sales job – but, I used my failure as a chance to learn about myself and start doing what I was meant to be doing in life. I wrote a book about it called The Life Reset. I thought, with so many states cutting the unemployment benefit, the good American jobs basically gone forever, and US companies sitting on $2 trillion in cash but still not hiring, your listeners might find this topic of interest – they are probably struggling to figure out how to earn what they are truly worth in this harsh environment. http://www.liferesetsite.com | 6/23/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Author/Expert, Melanie Hope - Jun 15,2011 | "Nose-to-Nose Networking" The old adage that its not what you know but who you know is truer than ever in this economy - yet technology pulls us apart, making effective networking increasingly difficult. While researching for this book, many subjects admitted that they would use social media or voice mail to avoid personal interaction. Even advanced salespeople confessed that they did not know how to gracefully exit an awkward conversation. Men and women who seem perfectly friendly pleaded social anxiety, while extroverts simply did not know how to follow up without feeling "weird." Nose-to-Nose Networking bridges these gaps. http://hopespeaking.com | 6/14/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

A. K. Thigpen and D. W. Austin: “SEEDTIME: Liberating the Op - Jun 01,2011 | Seedtime: Liberating the Oppressed Authors Anthony KaDarrell Thigpen and David W. Austin dicuss their book, "Seedtime: Liberating the Oppressed". “I was guilty of focusing on riches. I stumbled into debt with a high-interest Beneficial loan. I gave the large sum of money to my church, hoping to hit the heavenly jackpot. “Well, it sounded good at the time. Financial prosperity messages perilously oppress people. When these ‘Name it and Claim’ it messages started sweeping the nation, I gambled away my good credit. It took years before I climbed out my pitfall of deception. Now that I chase what matters, I understand. Hard-earned wages is how people with integrity purchase possessions. “This book is not about slandering those who meander the truth. The first step toward liberation is education. This book utilizes the Bible, life stories of Anthony KaDarrell Thigpen, historical facts, and current events to educate readers. Oppression is horrifying. This is why Christians must become passionate about justice.” Copyright © 2009 Anthony KaDarrell Thigpen | 5/31/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Terence Witt: “Our Undiscovered Universe” - May 12,2011 | "Our Undiscovered Universe” challenges cosmological paradigms by answering questions such as - Why does the universe exists? Where did it come from? What is it made of at the smallest level? The unified theory, which answers these kinds of questions and more is called “Null Physics”. Change is needed in the physics community; this book is the catalyst of that change. Since adolescence, Terence Witt has repeatedly questioned accepted physics paradigms. Unsatisfied with theoretical limitations and the inability to move beyond merely describing data and findings, Witt challenged himself to exhaustively seek out and find the answer to the elusive question "Why?" For more than 37 years, Witt researched, developed and tested his theory about the nature of the universe, and its contents." You can learn more about Null Physics HERE. Attaining Your Personal Best - Mar 24,2011 | Author Interview: Dr. Nathaniel J. Williams will talk about his book, "Attaining Your Personal Best." "Beginning anew is often difficult because we tend to bring the past forward with us. In revisiting the past, we may seek to prove to ourselves that it was not as bad as it really was, or we may seek to forecast the future. Much of the time, however, dredging up the past is a futile effort. A new beginning needs to be just that something that is new (novel, original, fresh, innovative) and that is a beginning (start, launch, creation, commencement). In this definition of a new beginning, there is no room for the past. How do we leave the past in the past? We must recognize that we have gone as far as we can by utilizing the technology of the past; we are maxed out on the past. We have to do something different to get something different and become something different. We have to do something new to get something new. The genuinely new will never be a validation of the past. The new is a validation of the future and its unlimited potential. The future s potential is unknown because it is uncharted. The beauty of the future is that we can make our own map of it, deciding upon the destinations as we arrive at them. We must also recognize that our new might be someone else s old. However, because we will approach opportunities with our own technology and specialness, we should not be influenced by the outcomes of others. Bio: Dr. Nathaniel J. Williams is a noted author, lecturer, TV talk show host and entrepreneur. He is the president and CEO of HumanWorks Affiliates Inc., a cluster of 8 organizations that provide social services to children and adults, and offers management and staffing support to social service agencies. Dr. Williams also hosts a weekly TV talk show on WFMZ Channel 69 in the Philadelphia/Lehigh Valley market." Content provided by the author. | 3/23/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

This is a guide to running a successful garage sale, written from the perspective of a woman with years of advertising experience. She has always been interested in garage sales, and initially started out doing them as a young person who needed a supplemental income. As an advertiser, she understands why people buy and what motivates them to buy. She saw a correlation between DR advertising and garage sales, and that’s where the idea for this book came from. After initially becoming involved in garage sales as a mode of supplemental income, Ava became fascinated by the different angles of buying and selling. As she developed her career in Direct Response advertising and marketing, she noticed a correlation between advertising and garage sales. For years she had been learning firsthand why people buy and what motivates them to buy, and she realized the knowledge she had from advertising could be directly applied to her garage sale experience. She wants to share her time-tested techniques with everyone so that they, too, can have successful, efficient, and fun garage sales. "Modern Spiritual" by Eric A. Yancy, MD - Oct 21,2010 | Pediatrician, Eric A. Yancy has been has been taking care of the children of Indianapolis for more then three decades... fulfilling his own childhood dream to become a physician. Along the way, he’s also been pursuing his passion for singing, recently completing his debut gospel album, Modern Spiritual. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana, native has been singing as long as he can remember. “I sang my first solo for a Christmas program when I was in second grade. I sang Silent Night. I actually sneaked into the youth choir at my church when I was 12, but they let me stay.” Known for his smooth baritone sounds, Dr. Yancy has been uplifting and inspiring audiences nationwide, sharing the word of GOD through song. His inspiration for the title song on his album came one morning, following a newscast about a tragic murder. “A young patient of mine had been shot to death the night before. I wondered what could be the difference between the old days and the new ones. Why so much strife? Then I wondered if it could be that we have placed God on the back burner, in favor of our own successes and indulgences”, From that, Modern Spiritual was born. Dr. Yancy’s musical journey is just beginning with the release of his first solo album. He hopes you’ll be inspired… to put GOD back as the head of your life. Copyright © 2009 – 2010 Eric A. Yancy. Authors K. Thigpen & D.Austin Believe Financial Prosperity Messages Perilously Oppress People. - Oct 13,2010 | Co-authors A.Thigpen and D.Austin discuss their book "Seedtime: Liberating the Oppressed." About the book - Seedtime, Liberating the Oppressed “This book is not about slandering those who meander the truth. The first step toward liberation is education. This book utilizes the Bible, life stories of Anthony KaDarrell Thigpen, historical facts, and current events to educate readers. Oppression is horrifying. This is why Christians must become passionate about justice.” “Financial prosperity messages perilously oppress people. When these Name it and Claim it messages started sweeping the nation, I gambled away my good credit. It took years before I climbed out my pitfall of deception. Now that I chase what matters, I understand. Hard-earned wages is how people with integrity purchase possessions. As a journalist, while writing for the Indiana Post-Tribune, life took on new meaning. Unfortunately, I’ve exposed ousted pastors, church disputes, and infidelity inside the world of religion. I prefer feature stories, but we report the news, and church news is no exception. Your outlook on money can make you forget what matters most. Behind the closed doors of prosperity churches, the only acceptable influence comes across the pulpit. No questions allowed—not even during Bible study. Suggestions are considered rebellion and gossip. These are the complicated components that make this secretive subject so difficult to discuss. Despite their outlook on money, the church continues to give to the community. Perhaps the pastors’ good works are a reflection of their kind hearts. On the other hand, many churches invest in marketing ploys to gain membership and make more money. Nonetheless, I refuse to ignore organized religion. Churches possess the ability to serve a significant role in communities throughout America. However, to do so, the focus must remain on spiritual principles, not money. Ron Auerbach discusses his book titled "Think Like an Interviewer-Your Job Hunting Guide to Success - Jul 08,2009 | My book is similar in nature to Knock 'em Dead and What Color is your Parachute? because we all include the basics: Cover letters, resumes, and interviewing. But my book differs from them in a number of key ways. For instance, mine is written with today’s job seeker constantly in mind. Somebody facing tremendous competition unseen since literally the Great Depression. So I wanted to give them everything necessary to be successful in today’s harsh and rough job market. My book’s written with this attitude, mistakes employers used to let you get away with in the past won’t slide by today. That’s exactly why you must do everything you can to avoid making them. And is often the reason some are having trouble now when they never used to before. My book also discusses ways to shrink your resume so it’s smaller or fits better on a page. And talks about writting a letter of resignation, including why you should. It also includes all forms of group interviews, plus computer and project-based interviews. And explains the difference between using a colon versus a comma in a cover letter's salutation. There’s also an extensive listing of other resources: books, websites, and state employment offices. And the greatest difference of all, my book has no index. Why not? Because I structured the table of contents so it's very intuitive and user-friendly! You see, it’s organized the way a typical job seeker actually thinks and reacts. So my book is very easy reading and nicely laid-out. There's even a section devoted to students and recent graduates. With so many retraining or updating their skills, I felt this was important. Plus, as an instructor and recent student, I’ve seen it from both sides. So I have a truly unique perspective many other experts lack. | 7/7/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

Jill Nelson & Jennifer Sugar: BIOGRAPHY - John Holmes: A Life Measured in Inches - May 29,2009 | John Curtis Holmes was just a simple country boy from Ohio when he moved to California in 1964. It was the infancy of hardcore, so in Holmes' wildest dreams, he could not have predicted the turbulent ride on which he had embarked by publicizing his private parts. With the fame he achieved by playing his most famous character - a gun toting detective named Johnny Wadd - came money. Holmes was pleased to spend it on his wife and mistresses, but soon was in over his head after he became addicted to cocaine. Unfortunately for Holmes, in the years that followed, his addiction led him into several desperate choices - including setting up a robbery at the home of Ed Nash, a powerful L.A. nightclub owner. The robbery resulted in one of the most gruesome, unsolved, multiple-murders in Hollywood history. Amazingly, before his untimely death in 1988, Holmes regained his momentum, remarried and rebuilt his life and career. However, the grave consequences of his addiction, his association with the Wonderland murders, and his AIDS-related death made him an infamous figure in pop culture. | 5/29/09 | Free | View In iTunes |
