Ace!
It’s an ideal use of the format: these short programmes are consistently well-produced, varied and memorable. Lives told in simple and unscientific terms have often the poetry of good facts as well as the exoticism of good fables. The Oxon DNB is a good thing well made.
Don't Miss These
These are eclectic and well researched vignettes about people in history that may or may not be well known. They vary from the famously indiscreet (Profumo) to one of the world's most famous swimmers that you probably never heard of (Webb). The variety and depth of each story leaves you wanting more even though much of the drama of their lives is delivered in a flat, academic tone. These are well worth downloading.
Excellent... more please
Comprehensive, these are amongst the better read history podcasts. From the famous to the obscure these are all interesting. Some people truly only need 5 minutes others much more. Only wish they came out more often and there were more of them.
