Underwriting the Mission | This week Pastor G concludes our series on the story of Nehemiah and his mission to rebuild the walls and the people of Jerusalem. The story concludes with a series of generous financial offerings to restore the nation and a massive worship service that includes repentance, Scripture reading, preaching and music. Pastor G point us to this Scriptural model of worship that has stood the test of time and is largely the same in modern church worship today. | 1/28/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

Servant Leadership | This week, Pastor G continues the story of Nehemiah. He talks to us about God's plan for leadership and service in the local church. When Nehemiah completed the first part of the mission God had given him, he needed to recast the vision to his people, adapt to the different circumstances and lead accordingly. Pastor G points out the great need for all FOFers to be involved in Home Huddle Small Groups and actively serving on some ministry team. Just as all of Nehemiah's people played a specific role in ministry, so must all the people of FOF if we are to experience Mission:Possible! | 1/21/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

Teamwork To Make The Dream Work | Pastor G continues taking us through the decisions and leadership process of Nehemiah and the people of Jerusalem. G presents the Biblical principle of "interdependency" as opposed to the cultural norms of "dependency" and "independency." G also presents the Biblical principle that "Our commitment always precedes God's provision." He connects these principles to Fellowship of Faith and our rebuilding process in 2012. | 1/14/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

Never Know Enough ... | Pastor G continues with the second half of his HeartSong series talking about all the things of Jesus that Mary treasured and pondered about the early years of Jesus' life. Treasure and Ponder | In this first part of Pastor G's 2 part series "HeartSong" he challenges us to take a closer look at Luke 2:19 which refers to Mary, the mother of Jesus "treasuring" and "pondering" all the things about the birth of Christ in her heart. He shows us the original Greek thought behind these two words and challenges us to consider what things about our relationship with Christ we treasure and what are some things about God that we still take time to ponder each day. Plan B - Joseph | Plan B - Week 2 - Pastor G takes us through several events in the life of Joseph, one of the sons of Jacob. Sold into slavery by his brothers, falsely imprisoned, forgotten by freinds and family. IOt would have been really easy for Joseph to become bitter and lose faith and trust in God. But when the Plan A's of his life didn't turn out as he had hoped, he continued to trust the God who was always with Him, even when his circumstances seemed to indicate otherwise. We all know that Plan B Pattern in life all too well don't we? You have a Dream which leads to Hope, which is shattered by a Threat/Crisis, leading to a point of Decision. Will you try to Control what is outside of your control or will you Trust that God is still with you in spite of conflicting information from the circumstances around you? Plan B - David | Plan B - Week 1 - Pastor G takes us through some events in the life of David before he became king. We can all relate to the same kind of "Plan B" patterns in our life. Will you try to Control what is outside of your control or will you Trust that God is still with you in spite of conflicting information from the circumstances around you? Man VS Wild | This week, we'll check in with FOF's very own survival expert to set up Pastor G's message about what to do when a lion called the devil attacks us. Then, Pastor G will be reminding all of us what it means to truly follow Jesus wherever He leads. Just like Peter, when Jesus says, "Come, follow me!" be ready to leave everything behind and follow him to a new place, a new mission and new adventure. Of course, truly following Jesus like that is not for the faint of heart. We have an enemy out there. He wants to sift us as wheat. He wants to pounce on us and devour us like a wild lion. Are you ready to stand firm against Him? With Jesus' help, are you ready to be "Man (or Woman) vs Wild?" | 10/22/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Monsters Inside Me | The Apostle Paul once famously wrote these words in the seventh chapter of his letter to the church in Rome: “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?” – Romans 7:15-24 (NIV1984) This week, Pastor G talks about how we can all relate to this “Monster Inside Of Us” and how we can find the solution for the problem. It is the same solution Paul found! | 10/15/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

(Holy) Ghost Adventures | This week our Ghost Adventurers team goes in search of the Holy Ghost, rumored to exist at Fellowship of Faith Church! This comedic mini-spoof of the popular TV show will set up Pastor G’s message that focuses on the lack of understanding many people, even Christians, have about who the Holy Spirit is, what His role in the life of Christ followers is and how we are to relate to and interact with Him. The concept of faith without physical “proof” will also be explored. | 10/8/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Mythbusters | This week, we show our mini-spoof of the hit TV show "Mythbusters" as Pastor Greg and Pastor Steve set out to test the myth that a church will collapse if there is too much laughter inside. Then, Pastor G will bust some myths many people hold onto for why they "can't" or "won't" become part of a local church. Pastor G shares some of his own testimony of being disillusioned with church as a teen and young man and the realization that brought him back to becoming part of a local body of believers. | 10/1/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Second Wind | This week Pastor G shows us the life of a young pastor named Timothy. Timothy has gotten burned out. His passion has left him. He is discouraged, sad, dejected and feels empty. Maybe you can relate sometimes? This week, Pastor G shows us Paul’s advice to Timothy. Paul told Timothy he knew faith and passion were still inside of Timothy but they were like a campfire that has been untended and allowed to go out. Paul tells Timothy he needs to “rekindle anew” the fire within him. He tells him he needs to actively and intentionally “stir up the gift” that is inside. Using a powerful Greek word, ANAZOPUREO, Paul tells Timothy (and us) to go into the midst of the smouldering coals, and breath new life into the fire by fanning the flames. Since we have the gift of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Wind, the Holy Breath of God living inside of us, we know where that power to ANAZOPUREO comes from. It comes from within. Jesus said if we will seek Him with all our hearts we shall ever surely find him. The Kingdom of Heaven is within you. Wiinds of Change | Paul the Apostle urged us to no longer conform to the pattern of life set by the world but instead to actively allow the Holy Spirit of God to transform our lives, by renewing our minds, showing us the will of God for our life and then directing our actions accordingly as we walk in the Spirit. It’s never too late to change for the better. No matter where you have been in the past and no matter how far away you may have strayed from God and His plan for your life, it’s always only one step back to Him. Pastor G challenges us this week to embrace the “Winds of Change” found in a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit. | 8/20/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Spirit of Adoption | One day, Jesus’ disciples stumbled upon Him praying alone in the Kidron valley. They had never seen anyone pray the way Jesus prayed. When He finished they asked Him, “John (the baptist) taught his disciples to pray. Will you teach us?” At that point, Jesus responded with a teaching so revolutionary it would forever change the way believers look at God. Jesus said, when we pray, we are to say “Our Father…” Many scholars believe whenever Jesus talked about God the Father he used the Aramaic word “Abba” which is best translated “Daddy.” Paul the Apostle also refers to the “Spirit of Adoption” whereby we cry out “Abba, Father!” This week Pastor G talks about the full scope of the revolutionary revelation of Christ and Paul that God is our Daddy and we are His children. Pastor G shows us what it really means to recognize that we have been adopted into God’s own family as His sons and daughters. By embracing the ministry of the Holy Spirit, “The Spirit of Adoption” we will see that there are incredible privileges and awesome responsibilities that come along with that reality. | 8/13/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Breath of Fresh Air | “A Breath of Fresh Air” – Imagine if our entire congregation became widely known for integrity, mutuality, interdependance, love, sacrifice, commitment and unity. In a world that is increasingly hostile toward Christianity, seeing us as hypocrites and fakes, THAT would really be “A Breath of Fresh Air.” This week, Pastor G talks about the type of familial love and commitment all Christ followers are supposed to have for each other and how we can become a Christian community that makes the culture around us sit up and take notice! Pastor G will challenge us to offer forgiveness to those within our family and congregation who have let us down and challenges us to make amends to those we have hurt or let down as well. Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is a spirit of forgiveness! That’s “A Breath of Fresh Air.” | 8/6/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Understanding the Book of Revelation (Part One) | A lot of Christians struggle with understanding anything the book of Revelation is talking about. Frightening images of dragons and other beasts with multiple heads scare people. The book is full of descriptions of the end times and an Antichrist who brings death and destruction on a global scale. It’s no wonder many Christ followers skip reading from the book entirely. They rely on novelists and Hollywood to give them their understanding and, as a result, few people really grasp Jesus’ true intent of sharing His revelation with us. Pastor G will uncloak some of the mysteries of Revelation this week and in the following week and show us that it is really a book of hope and encouragement to followers of Christ. | 7/23/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

End of the World Predictions That Didn't Pan Out | Every generation has its false prophets, the ones who name a specific date for the end of it all. History leaves an ugly trail of broken families, financial ruin and fractured faith. People have sold their homes, given away their possessions and gone to sit on a mountain, waiting for Christ’s return, only to be disappointed. What went wrong? | 7/16/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Prophets & False Prophets | People have lots of questions about prophets and prophecies. How can you spot a false prophet? What is prophecy anyway? How does it differ from fortune telling or horoscopes? Is prophecy something that is still active in the world today or did is pass away with the New Testament era? How does the spiritual gift of prophecy figure in to all this? Suffering, Heaven & Hell Questions | This week Pastor G wraps up his TOUGH QUESTIONS series with questions about the problem of evil and suffering in the world? Why doesn't God get rid of evil and suffering in the world right now? Pastor G will tell us. He also covers questions like "How can I know for sure I will go to heaven when I die? How old will I appear to be in heaven? Will I recognize my loved ones there?" and more. | 6/25/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Jesus Questions | This week Pastor G takes on some of the most common questions skeptics pose about Jesus. These are often phrased like this: “Isn’t Jesus a myth? Is there really any valid historical evidence that this person ever walked the earth?” OR “I accept that there was good man and a wise teacher named Jesus who taught a lot of good things but didn’t you mythologize Him from there? Isn’t it foolish to believe He could do miracles and come back from the dead? Why do you have to make Him out to be the Son of God? Isn’t being a good man and teacher enough?” Pastor Greg shows us why the idea of Jesus being just a good, moral teacher doesn't hold up Biblically and why it doesn't hold up to logic. | 6/18/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

God & The Bible Questions | These are often phrased like this: “How can you know for sure that God exists at all? After all, He can’t be seen, weighed, measured, touched or even detected with scientific instruments.” AND “Didn’t evolution pretty much seal the deal on the non-existence of God? Why keep believing in religion when we live in the age of science and knowledge?” AND “Why do you put so much stock and trust in the Bible? Isn’t it just a book of literature and opinions, full of contradictions, mistakes and myths?” Pastor G addresses these questions and more this week and invites everyone to send him more questions of their own at http://www.fellowshipoffaith.net/tough-questions/ | 6/4/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Strong Families Leave a Legacy! | Thus far in this series, the pastors have been talking about saving a family - specifically our own flesh and blood. Today, Pastor G challenges us to reach beyond our own family and leave a positive and lasting impact on the generations that follow us, including those outside our own families. Pastor Greg encourages us to think about how together we can leave a legacy to an entire generation. He challenges us to realize our own life can have impact beyond the years we have physically on the earth. We can pass on the baton of faith and leadership to the next generation. Strong Families Know Each Other! | Pastor Jamie Sisson continues the "To Save a Family" series in the message "Strong Families Know Each Other." Although we often hear that families need to learn to communicate better, he argues that the greater need is to actually begin the communication process, which includes spending time together and exercising the art of verbal communication. He also discusses that at the very foundation of all human communication is the need to be understood and known. By looking at a few instances from the life of Jesus, Pastor Jamie seeks to develop a strategy for helping us communication with everyone with whom we come into contact, including our friends and family. If we really want to be known by those about whom we care the most, we must also pay the price to know them. | 4/30/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Strong Families Have Faith! | Pastor G starts the series off on Easter Sunday with this message. He mentions that the strongest families he knows are the ones where every member of the family is a fully devoted follower of Christ. Pastor G defines FAITH for us as "the confidence that God is who He says He is and that He will do what He has promised to do." G points out that all faith has both a specific object and a specific content. If we change either the object of our faith or the content of that faith we change Christianity into a different religious or philosophical system. A very specific kind of faith, called "Saving Faith" is what is necessary to truly be considered a follower of Christ, and to know with assurance that when you die you will go to heaven. Pastor G shares with us in this message exactly what Saving Faith is, how to have it and how to pass it on to others. | 4/23/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

The Fortress of Solitude and X-Ray Vision | Superman sometimes retreated to a quiet, solitary place he built in the arctic called The Fortress of Solitude. It was designed to resemble his home planet and it comforted him to remind him of his connection to his father, Jor-El. Through the use of technology, Superman was able to communicate with his father and learn from him. Our Superman, Jesus, often withdrew to quiet and solitary places to be alone with and commune with His Father, God. Sometimes His fortress of solitude was a mountaintop or the middle of a lake. On the night he was arrested, he went to aFortress of Solitude called The Garden of Gethsamene for a much needed time alone with His Father. Superman had X-Ray Vision. He could see through obstacles and see things many miles away. Despite how “super” his vision was, our Superman, Jesus, had even more powerful vision. He could see into the future and he came to earth with a very specific vision for his mission on earth. While Superman’s vision for his life focus was “Truth, Justice and the American Way!” our Superman, Jesus’ vision for His life could be summed up as “Truth, Justice and the Father’s Way!” In His Fortress of Solitude, in the late hours of Thursday night and the early hours of Good Friday morning, Jesus stated His vision clearly. “Not my will but Yours be done!” If we live our lives according to the same vision, we are INVINCIBLE! | 4/16/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Kryptonite and Lex Lucifer | As we all know, the only thing that can injure Superman is Kryptonite. As human beings what is our “kryptonite?” The Bible describes something called “sin.” Sin has the same effect on human beings that kryptonite has on Superman. It weakens us, hurts us and will eventually kill us. Just like the villain Lex Luthor is always trying to destroy Superman we have a villain bent on our destruction as well. In this message, Pastor G refers to him as “Lex Lucifer!” Just like Superman always wins when Lex Luthor tries to defeat him, Pastor G shares the Good News of the Gospels with us this week that make it clear our Superman, Jesus Christ, is always victorious and gives us the strength and power we need to always be victorious against “Lex Lucifer” as well! The Final Four | Pastor G wraps up our March Madness series with an overview of the first three weeks messages with some additional insights on each of these weekly topics and then brings it home with a final message, the Final Four. So far in this series he’s talked to us about our relationship with our self, or relationship with our God, and our relationship with other believers. Who is left? This week Pastor G talks to us about our relationship with those who don't yet follow Christ. In this Final Four of the March Madness series he talks about how we are to love the people of the world who are still perishing, who don’t have the assurance of eternal life that comes from being a follower of Christ. Pastor G guides us through four key points from the last four verses of the Gospel of Matthew, famously known as “The Great Commission.” These were Jesus’ final recorded words before returning to heaven. Of all the millions of things He could have chosen to focus on at this time, He chose these words. Think of the millions of things He could have chosen to say to them at this time. Of all the possibilities, He chose this one. This is where He chose to focus His final message to the disciples, which includes you and me if you are a Christ follower. These Final Four verses of Jesus are pretty significant! | 3/26/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

The Elite Eight | This week, Pastor G is talking about the Elite Eight! The eight “One Anothers” in the book of Romans. He reminds us there are actually 36 times the phrase “One Another” occurs in the New Testament. They can be grouped into 14 categories. We are to: Be Devoted to One Another, Accept One Another, Bear With One Another, Forgive One Another, Honor One Another, Live in Harmony with One Another, Greet One Another, Serve One Another, Submit to One Another, Stop Judging One Another, Encourage One Another, Offer Hospitality to One Another, Be Humble Towards One Another Pastor Greg helps us understand that if we want to be fully devoted followers of Christ, if we want to be mad fools for Christ, if we want to slam dunk life with Christ, it is clear that we have to treat one another and interact with one another in pretty substantial, powerful and positive ways right? So how do we do that? How, exactly, are we to do life with one another the way Jesus intended? Focusing on the eight one anothers in the book of Romans is a great start! Pastor G says, “These are really instructive in defining Christian behavior within the Church. They are the ‘How Tos’ of Church Life. They reveal what a healthy Church looks like.” | 3/19/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

The Sweet Sixteen | John 3:16 is a famous "sweet sixteen" of the Bible bu there are many other verse sixteens and chapter sixteens of the Bible that give tremendous comfort and insight in life as well. This week, Pastor G shares two of his favorite "Sweet Sixteens." John 16:33 and 2 Chronicles 16:9. The Big Dance | The Big Dance is what Pastor G is calling the abundant life of following Christ. He talks to us about the adventurous life of leading others to Christ, and the eternal life that comes from following Jesus to the end. Like the Big Dance of the NCAA tournament, everyone’s invited to this dance. No wallflowers here. Everyone on earth is invited to play, to dance. But it is up to you and me to invite them. We’ve got to live the life first and along the way invest in and invite others to join us! Pastor G talks about feeling sorry for those who see the Christian life as foolishness, those who miss out on the great adventure, the call of Jesus Christ to be a fisher of men. When they skip The Big Dance, they miss out on the Grand Banquet of Salvation. They live a lesser life instead of Slam Dunking Life With Christ! | 3/5/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Ultimate Regeneration (Born Again) | Pastor G wraps up our Passion/Obsession Series this week with a message about what it means to be "Born Again." In a conversation with Nicodemus, Jesus made it clear that Christianity is a relationship with God, not a religion about God. Spiritual Regeneration is the ability to regrow or reform a new life, a new spirit. If you are a person who really wants to be passionate about, obsessed with, devoted to Jesus like Paul was but you just aren't this is the answer you are looking for. Fanatical Devotion | This week Pastor G helps us see that Full Devotion (Fanatical Devotion) is supposed to be the norm for Christ Followers not the exception. People sometimes refer to zealous Christians as Jesus Freaks. They mean it in a derogatory way but Pastor G encourages us to grab hold of the term and redeem it. He reminds us that we are are all "fanatics" or "freaks" about something. Some of us are sports FANs, music FANs, movie FAN's. It makes sense that our greatest level of enthusiasm, passion, obsession and devotion should be to Jesus Christ. Let's be true FANs of Jesus! Magnificent Obsession | Last week Pastor G asked us "How long have you really lived?" This week Pastor G asks us another unusual question: "How long has it been since you died?" This time he means, how long has it been since you died to yourself, your motives, your agendas and your pride? How long has it been since you allowed God to fully guide and direction your life? Pastor G takes us through more examples from the life of the Apostle Paul. Paul had a single-minded and passionate pursuit in life. He wanted to fully know and be fully known by Jesus. Paul wanted to be "IN CHRIST!" He wanted to be so much like Jesus that if anyone went looking for Paul, they would only find him IN CHRIST. He wanted to be so much like Jesus that when people looked at him or spoke to him, they would only see the character and quality of Jesus. For this to happen, Paul knew he had to die to himself. He had to die to all of his selfish, self-focused, self-centered, prideful mindsets and focus solely on Jesus Christ. This was his Magnificent Obsession! | 2/12/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

One Consuming Passion | This week Pastor G asks us a challenging question: "How long have you really lived?" He doesn't just mean, "How many years have you been alive and breathing on planet earth?" Instead, he is referring to how many of the days, hours, minutes of your life have been lived passionately to the full in connection to, service to and worship of Jesus?" He shares examples from the life of the Apostle Paul and shows us that Paul lived life with One Consuming Passion; the desire to know Jesus Christ fully. | 2/5/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

He encourages us to understand we all have to be 100% unified and together for the big picture of all that God has called us to do! | 1/22/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Victims No More! | This week Pastor G gets really practical with some specific advice about how to reboot EVERY area of our lives for the Better. (1) Physical (2) Emotional (3) Spiritual (4) Relational (5) Educational (6) Vocational (7) Financial Pastor Greg talks about the Kingdom of Heaven that Jesus brought to us. Even though the ultimate fulfillment of that has not come yet, we are currently living in the Kingdom of God now. Pastor G talks about how the devil is constantly trying to destroy it but we are called to be strong and courageous people who stand up for what is right both in our own lives and in the lives of others. We need to use our force of will to speak God's light of truth into the darkness of our world. | 1/15/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Are you part of the remnant? | The Apostle Paul challenged us to be "transformed by the renewing of our minds." This week Pastor G shares one of the ways we can renew our minds. He challenges us to focus on the Beatitudes of Jesus in The Sermon on the Mount. G reminds us that we don't get many years on planet earth to make a difference. We should make every day counts. Jesus calls His followers "the salt of the earth" and "the light of the world." Pastor G challenges us to be salty light bearers for Jesus in every area of our lives. Pastor G also talks this week about the Biblical concept of a remnant, a group of people who always stay the course, stay true to the vision, loyal to the mission, the leadership and to God, even when others lose interest or give up. He reveals a couple of large churchwide changes as part of this reboot and asks the entire congregation to come on board with their support for this vision. He asks us all "Are you part of the remnant?" | 1/8/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Forget The Past! Embrace The New! | This week Pastor G reminds us that God is passionate about doing NEW THINGS! He is a Creator and He loves to create! God tells us in Isaiah to forget the past! He tells us He is doing a new thing and He wants us to take notice and join Him in each new vision He unveils. Pastor G makes an analogy between computers needing to reboot and human beings sometimes needing to reboot their health, their jobs, their relationships, their lives, and their spiritual focus. Einstein once said "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Pastor G points out a similar teaching from God's Word "As a dog returns to it's vomit, so fools repeat their folly." Pastor G challenges us to identify the foolish "vomit" areas of our live and change our behavior of insanely and repeatedly returning to these destructive areas of our lives. Forget the past! Embrace the new! Pastor G wants us to know "It's never too late to REBOOT your life!" | 1/1/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Reach - GO! | In this final installment of REACH, Pastor G makes it clear that our faith is not meant to be a private thing. Jesus told us to GO and proclaim the Good News to everyone we meet. Pastor G reminds us of our the INVEST and INVITE evangelism strategy. By investing in people's lives, showing them we love them and care about their future. Then, once they know we care about them, we can invite them to church and invite them to follow Jesus with us. | 12/25/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

We Are The Reason For The Season | Many people have grand intentions at Christmas time as they decide to make Christmas time about Christ this year. But the truth is Christmas is not the time of life that is about Christ. ALL of life itself is about Christ. In this second part of the REACH series, Pastor G weaves the lyrics of "O Come All Ye Faithful" together with Scripture to help us put the role of Christ in our life back into proper perspective. Christians are fond of saying "Jesus is the reason for the season." but you know, that's not really strictly accurate. You are actually the reason for the season. Well, you and me. We are the reason the Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We are the reason that he was born, lived, suffered, died and rose again. It is because of us that Christmas happened. Just like it is because of us that Good Friday and Easter happened as well. It was because we were lost in our sin and separated from God that Jesus came to earth as one of us, to lead us back to His Father who is our Father as well. Do you know Jesus like I know Jesus? Do you know the way home? Connect with Him this Christmas. He is REACHing out for you. REACH back out to Him. | 12/18/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Let There Be Light! | In this opening message from the REACH series, Pastor G reminds us that in the beginning the universe was dark, nothing but cold, impersonal, all pervasive darkness. Then God spoke into the darkness and said “Let there be light!” and there was light. Pastor Greg reminds us that God is really good at bringing light to the darkness. Something happened shortly after God created the first humans. They turned away from His light and embraced the darkness again. This time the darkness was not physical, it was spiritual. They chose to rebel against God. God promised He would one day send a spiritual light into the world to save His people from the dark and lead them back home. Many people gave up hope and began to accept spiritual darkness as the norm of reality. Others knew the truth. They were lost in the dark and they needed God’s light in their life. Then, one day, over 2,000 years ago an event we call Christmas happened. God spoke into the spiritual darkness and Jesus Christ, the Light of the World was born into the world. Pastor G challenges all of us to think outside of the box as a church and discover God’s vision for how FOF can better REACH those of our county, region, state, country and world who are still lost in spiritual darkness. Spiritual darkness is always infringing on the light. It’s a war between light and dark. It’s a war between good and evil. There is no neutral position. If we don’t surge forward, we will fall behind. Don’t let the darkness win. Let there be light! | 12/11/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Tithing | Tithing has, unfortunately, become a dirty word in many churches. Health and wealth/prosperity teachers on television have given the general public the idea that all churches (and preacher) want is their money. Tithing and giving are foundational spiritual principles in the Bible though and a vital part of the faith of Christianity. It is important that pastors not completely shy away from teaching this difficult subject. This week, Pastor G reminds of that everything we think we own is actually just on loan to us from the true Owner, God. Jesus repeatedly taught that everything we have in life has been entrusted to us by God to invest for Him in the work of His Kingdom. In return, God graciously pays us a 90% commission on what He has given us to invest. We keep 90% and give God 10%. What we find is that as we intentionally invest in God's kingdom with our time, talent and treasures, God's kingdom grows. As a result, our life grows in kind. It is, after all, impossible to outgive God. | 11/27/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Fasting & Prayer | Fasting is a spiritual principle and practice that is rarely tought on in most churches. As a result, fasting is a largely misunderstood concept. Many people have only experienced fasting when it comes to the night and morning before a medical procedure or as part of a weight loss regimen. In this message, Pastor G shares with us the Biblical concept of fastingl why we should do it, how we should do it and what benefits we receive from fasting. | 11/20/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Worship | Worship is not just singing a few songs on Sunday morning. Worship is not just raising your hands and closing your eyes or even magically fainting when a preacher thumps you on the forehead. Worship is a 24/7 lifestyle! Worship is a way of life! Worship is being a living sacrifice. This is how we worship God in Spirit and in truth. Worship is living our whole life with humility and submission to God's will. Worship is loving and serving others with a servant's heart, all the while giving God all the credit, all the the glory and all the worship He deserves. Don't just give him your worship leftovers after you are done worshiping yourself and everything else in your life. | 11/13/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Bible Study | A life that is spent conforming to the pattern of the world and rarley getting around to reading God's word is a life that misses out on being transformed. On the other hand, a life that is spent being daily transformed by the Biblical renewing of their mind is a life that is not satisfied with giving God their leftovers but instead knows to put God first in everything. Listen this week as Pastor Greg shares with us some principles for why a daily time of Bible reading and Bible study are vitally important to your faith! | 11/6/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Mirror, Mirror | This week's message kicks off with a great drama skit by Steve Sisson and Stephanie Hetherington, written by "The Skit Guys." It's called "The Chisel." Illustrating in a powerful way that we are supposed to be transformed into the image of Christ more and more every day. The skit, Pastor G and Psalm 139 all remind us that "God don't make no junk!" We are "fearfully and wonderfully made" in the image of God. If we criticize the design, we criticize the Designer. Pastor G encourages us to pursue not a perfect body or perfect appearance but instead a perfect, Christlike character. If we could look into a spiritual mirror, more and more in life we should see the Spirit of God looking back at us. | 10/9/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

We were not put on earth by God just to be a spectator but to be a participant. It is important to not just take up space but to actually make a postive contribution while we live. Guilt | God has given to us the ability to recognize right from wrong. In fact, some guilt can be good, if it will motivates us to seek God. God can use guilt to move us to change for the better. God created in each us what we call a "conscience" an emotional mechanism that causes us to feel remorse for wrong behavior. The Bible tells us it is possible, through repeated acts of sin to become so hard that we no longer feel guilty even when we should. So, we are warned to be sensitive to what God has given us because we can get to the point after repeated sin that guilt is no longer felt. We should be thankful for guilt, because like the heat given off of a hot burner, guilt can keep you from getting burned. God is using that emotion to motivate you to walk closer to Him. But the problem for many is that they acknowledge there sin, they ask forgiveness and yet there remains lingering guilt that oppresses them. That is no longer guilt. That is something called shame. Shame, unlike guilt is not healthy. Shame is a poison. Shame is not what God wants. Shame refuses to accept freedom that comes from forgiveness. Shame is a self imposed prison of the mind and spirit that keeps you from enjoying the love, mercy and forgiveness of God. No matter how evil the deed, no matter how serious the hurt to others God’s love will surround you, and forgive you if you will trust Him! David shows us that God is the One who promises forgiveness, protection and preservation. | 5/22/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Fear | Fear is a very real emotion and the world can be a scary place. Some fears are justified and resonable. But there are worries, fears and doubts written on the hearts of many in the world, some are often even written on OUR hearts. We are scared of monsters where there are no monters. We need to scratch out those fears and our reactions to those fears and replace them with the statement: HERE BE GOD...that's when our faith grows strongest. That's when we are best able to tell those around us: "I am not afraid of THIS, because for THIS, I have Jesus. | 5/15/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Be Somebody's Biggest Fan!!! | The ultimate goal of parenting and mentoring are the same. It is to reproduce the best of ourselves. It is to give ourselves away. To pass on your life to your child, to your protege. It is taking yourself and becoming vulnerable. If we as Christians choose to never be selfish again and choose to start investing ourselves in others' lives, the lives of our children but also in the lives of our spiritual children, then everyone would have a mentor and be mentoring. | 5/8/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Uncommon Community | In the first church, they organized themselves into many churches, mini spiritual families that ate together, worshiped together, prayed together, learned together, supported each other, protected each other, gave to each other, encouraged each other, prayed for each other. They shared the load and served together to make the church a better place. They lived lives of consistency. They were real, authentic, non - hypocrites. They impressed the people outside the church so much with their authentic faith that the unchurched got save and began following Jesus too. 3,000 added on day one and then more numbers add daily to their church. This actually what picture God paints not as a paranormal church but an absolutely normal church. This is what all churches are supposed to be all the time. Why are you looking for the Living among the Dead? | As human beings we tend to look for live things in dead places. We look for meaning, purpose, adventure, happiness, fulfillment, direction, joy, significance in unhealthy, unhelpful, unlikely, sometimes dead places. God wants us to have all these things in life. Jesus called this kind of meaningful life following Him the "adundant life". Through The Veil: The Quest for the Holy of Holies | "On Passover it was Pilate's tradition to release one prisoner to the people. He tried to get them to choose Jesus instead of Barrabas but the crowd chose to release Barrabas and crucify Jesus. The Bible falls silent about Barrabas after this but the tradition of the church is that he became a Christian. In this fictional account connected to real events and inspired by an original monologue by Curt Cloninger, Pastor G takes us inside the mind of historical murderer. You will hear tough guy Barrabas fall apart as he watches the crucifixion unfold. In the old covenent, only the high priest could enter the Holy of Holies and only one day a year. Jesus, through His sacrifice on the cross split the barrier veil in two and opened up the passage for everyone to come to God through faith in Christ. In this powerful and emotional delivery Pastor G puts our minds back on a hill called Golgotha over 2,000 years ago and asks the penetrating question: "He took my place! Matter vs Anti-Matter | Mixing sinful imperfect humanity with infinite pure and holy Divinity is a recipe for disaster. Its like matter and anti-matter colliding. Because God loves us and did not want to remain veiled from us He sent Jesus to take us through the veil. Pastor G reveals the fist of four ways Jesus reveals the glory of God today by taking us "through the veil." God makes it clear in the Old Testament that his perfect, holy and wholly other presence cannot co-exist with anything less that perfect pure and holy. By his very nature, he must consume, destroy and judge all imperfections, all sins. To protect the people God veiled His glory. He hid his glory behind a smoke cloud, a veil of sorts. Jesus came to take us through the veil of separation and to reveal the glory of God to us since we are Christ followers. | 3/6/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

The Beatles Were Right: All You Need IS Love! | The Bible says the key to being "blessed" or "happy" is in keeping God's Law. The problem is, none of us can perfectly keep God's Law. We all blow it. The Bible also says not keeping God's Law results in being cursed. So, happiness and blessedness are elusive. Because of God's great love for us Jesus came and made it possible to keep the Law. First, he became our curse, nailed it to the cross, buried it in the tomb and then left it there when He rose again. The Bible also says LOVE is the fulfillment of the Law. Jesus, God's love incarnate, came to earth and reduced God's commandments from the 613 required by the religious leaders of Jesus' day to just one commandment: LOVE. He told us to love three different people. 1) God 2) Ourselves and 3) Our neighbors. Don't Be Afraid | God spoke to Joshua and the Israelites through Moses. He told them "Don't Be Afraid. I am with you. I will never leave nor forsake you." Jesus told His disciples "Do Not Worry." In this message, Pastor G shares with us that this message is still for us today as well. No matter what you are facing in life, God wants you to hear His Godcast today, saying "I am still with you. I will never leave you. Do not worry. Don't be afraid." | 10/31/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

Peace Principles of Jesus | Pastor G shows us several peace principles practiced by Jesus Christ. Jesus modeled a possible human life for us. If He could find peace in the circumstances of His life, surely we can find peace in ours. Pastor G also shares a final peace principle Jesus didn't need, but all of us do. | 9/5/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

Intentional Apprenticing | Last week Pastor G showed us how important it is for every believer to serve in ministry in their local church. This week he carries the idea a step further and shows us how important it is to replicate our ministry as well. We always need to be about training up new believers to take our place when we are gone. One major mistake a lot of churches make is they keep all the leadership in the hands of one small group of people. New leaders are discouraged and leave when they realize there is no place for them and eventually the original leaders become ineffective, get burned out, move away or die and there is no one to replace them. When that happens the church will shrink and die. At FOF, we encourage every member who is in ministry to constantly be on the lookout for someone to whom they can "give their ministry away." When they are successful at that they can then move into a new role of leadership and expand the ministry and impact of our church. Without succession there is no success. | 7/4/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

Strategic Service/Meaningful Ministry | FOF currently has two pastors, but we have hundreds of "ministers." The Bible is clear that all believers are meant to serve as ministers in their local congregation regardless of what they do vocationally. Churches that insist on treating their pastor as a "paid employee" completely miss the point of the New Testament Church. Only when the people are willing to give up the leadership of the church to the pastor and only when the pastor is willing to give up the ministry to the people can a church truly grow and fulfill the Great Commission. In this message Pastor G shares the Biblical basis for this thought and challenges all of us to find our unique place of service at FOF or whatever church we attend. | 6/27/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

Relational Evangelism | We've all experienced it. The unwanted visitors at the door crashing our free time to shove their particular brand of faith down our throats. It turns us off when people do it to us, so why would we want to do it to other people. Pastor G explains how we do evangelism at FOF in this message. Focusing on a two word strategy "Invest and Invite" as well as the idea of F.R.A.N.gelism, Pastor G makes it clear that the best way to introduce people to a life transforming relationship with Jesus is to invest in friendship with them, invest in their life and then invite them to a better life as a Christ follower. | 6/20/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

Authentic Community | Pastor G talks about the value of being part of a weekly small group of like-minded believers to help you grow in your faith. Removing the ROCK of PAIN | This week Pastor G takes on the problem of pain. As many people look at the world they are overwhelmed by pain and suffering and evil. Pastor Greg takes us through a Biblical understanding of the answer to this difficult and important theological question. | 5/2/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

Removing the ROCK of FEAR | Roosevelt once said "The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself!" Sometimes, that seems like enough doesn't it? Fear can stop us in our tracks, paralyze us. Pastor Greg reminds us what Scripture has to say about fear. Our Heavenly Father is still LARGE and IN CHARGE in His universe! As long as we hang close to Him, we don't have to be afraid of anything. Love Is Not Easily Angered | Week Seven of 40 Days of Love: Anger is not always sinful. There are times and ways to express the anger we feel in healthy ways. In the Bible God clearly shows anger at injustice and evil. He expects us to feel anger in those situations as well. When we feel angry towards the people we love though, inappropriately expressed anger can cause a lot of damage, so we need to be careful. This week, Pastor Greg shares six Biblical principles for taming our temper. He also makes an impassioned plea to those in abusive relationships to get out of the situation before further harm comes to them. | 3/21/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

Love Lets It Go | Week Six of 40 Days of Love: It is easy to love loving people, people who love you first. It takes effort to love unlovely people. Sometimes God puts us around unloving people, unlovely people, to provide resistance training for our ability to love. This week Pastor G introduces us to four groups of unlovely or unloving people called VDP’s (Very Draining People). How To Enjoy A Lifetime Of Growth | Week One of 40 Days of Love: You can enjoy a lifetime experience of spiritual growth where you see God making some differences and changes in your life. Consistent spiritual growth is more like climbing a mountain than a rocket launch. It is a "three steps forward, two steps back" proposition. At the end of the day, if you are one step closer to God, that day is a success. No one lives a perfect life. We all stumble and fall sometimes. The trick is to get back up and resume the journey. Leaders Lead Leaders | All of us are leaders at some level. Even if we only lead one other person we are a leader. God doesn't call any of us to be simply followers, yet all of us, at times follow and at other times we lead. Effective leaders seek out other leaders and invest in them. Leading only followers makes the success of you enterprise rest entirely on you. Take that one leader out of the equation and the ministry or organization fails. The best way to ensure the vision will live on beyond the original leader is to lead and develop other leaders who will in turn develop leaders of their own. | 1/31/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

Leaders Embrace Change | Sometimes people say "I hate change." Pastor Greg's response is "My condolences because you sure picked the wrong universe to live in." Our universe and consequently our world is in a constant state of flux and change. Only God is outside the changes. God embraces change. Consistently through Scripture He talks about "doing a new thing" and encourages us to "sing a new song." Leaders aren't afraid of change. They realize any organism and any organization is going to change. It will either move forward or it will go backward. It will either grow or decline. Nothing stands completely still for long. So to be a catalytic leader you have to embrace and welcome change. Then you can steer the results of the change the way you want. | 1/24/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

Leaders Act Like Then Is Now | Joseph found himself in a position to advise the Pharoah of Egypt. The Pharaoh had a dream that disturbed him. Joseph interpreted God message through Pharaoh's dream. Seven years of great abundance were coming to Egypt. Great harvests and great prosperity were in the near future. However, these seven years would be followed by seven years of famine and struggle. In order to prepare for the future and protect the people of Egypt it was necessary to act like then is now. This is a great leadership principle of forward thinking, being willing to make tough, even unpopular decisions now to protect the future of the people you lead. | 1/17/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

The Speed of the Leader is the Speed of the Pack | In our country, we expect our leaders, especially religious leaders and political leaders to lead with moral authority. In fact, we demand moral authority of those leaders. Any positives they accomplish with regard to the economy, or employment rates or national security are tainted and forgotten if we catch them in moral failure. We want there to be an alignment between what they say and what they do. When a people cannot trust their leader or respect their leaders the movement, the progress, the growth of that organization or business or country or church slows down and even stalls out. There is a leadership principle involved here and it is this: The Speed of the Leader is the Speed of the Pack. Moral authority, the alignment between what I say and what I do, is what garners respect from people. You will allow people to influence you even if you don’t agree with them if they have moral authority. You will resist people’s authority when you see duplicity in their life. When what they say and what they do doesn’t mesh. | 1/10/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

Leadership is Stewardship | God owns and controls everything in the universe. Scripture makes it clear that the only people in leadership are the people God allows to be in leadership. It is also important to note that all leadership is temporary and all leadership is accountable to God. | 1/3/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

In The Light | The first thing God did after He created the heavens and the earth was correct the physical darkeness. He said "Let there be light" and then He called the light "good." When God sent Jesus to earth to be born on that first Christmas day he was correcting the spiritual darkness of earth. The Apostle John tells us Jesus is the light and life of men and that darkness cannot understand or overcome Him. Jesus repeatedly referred to Himself as the "Light of the World" and He calls His followers to be the light of the world as well. Stairway to Heaven | The meaning behind Led Zeppelin's lyrics to "Stairway to Heaven" has been hotly debated for almost four decades but the idea of a stairway to heaven did not originate with them. All the way back in the eleventh chapter of Genesis, the people of Babel tried to build a stairway to heaven. Jacob dreamed of a stairway to heaven and Jesus said He is the stairway to heaven. Often, like the people of Babel, we try to build our own stairway to heaven, but end up just building a stairmaster. We expend a lot of time and energy but don't really travel anywhere. In this Christmas message, Pastor G encourages us all to get off the stairmaster and instead trust the Master of the stairs, Jesus Christ! | 12/20/08 | Free | View In iTunes |

Our God | Why did God give us the Ten Commandments? When we look at Scripture's account of the giving and receiving of the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20, it is clear that Israel was given these rules not as a condition of a relationship with God but rather as the confirmation that a relationship already existed between them when God brought them out of slavery in Egypt. You and I can also begin a relationship with God, but like the Israelites, this happens not by following rules, but simply by trusting in Him. Trust God | We all come to marriage with a box full of desires, dreams and hopes. Our deepest heart's desire is that our spouse will fulfill some or all of those hopes. Hook, Line and Sinker | Thanks to a few unscrupulous televangelists, pastors and other "Christians" Christianity has gotten a bad rap in our world. We are often seen as con-men trying to bilk people out of their life savings just to make ourselves rich. Unfortunately there have been enough scandals in the news in recent decades to make this fear a real possibility. As a result, many people, who are earnestly seeking a relationship with God, are skeptical and cynical of Christianity. They resist being "caught" by "Fishers of Men" because they feel like they are getting suckered, taken in "Hook, Line and Sinker." Live Bait-Live Catch | Fish are attracted to live bait. People are too. People are repelled by dead things and attracted to live things. God continually breaths His Holy Spirit into His followers. A Spirit-filled Christian is, in effect, live bait for bringing people to a relationship with God. Spirituality is on the rise in our world and unfortunately Christianity has a reputation for being boring and non-spiritual to many people. The best way for us to personally evangelize our friends, relatives, neighbors and associates is to be a person who is fully alive with the breath of God. We need to be living proof of the power of God at work in a human being. The glory of God is a man, fully alive. MARK My Words | Words are powerful, powerful things! Words can be used to build up or tear down. Words can be used to heal or to wound. The words of God are especially powerful. God reminds us that His Word always accomplishes His will and His purpose. It never returns to Him empty or void. The words of Christ, the Word of God, are also powerful and will live on eternally. Jesus tells us that wise people not only listen to His words, but they also put them into practice. Of all the words Jesus spoke, the Great Commandment and the Great Commission stand out! Essentially, Jesus says the most important aspects of following Him are these three statements: 1) Love God 2) Love People 3) Go Make Disciples - Pastor G also talks about our building project and how this step of faith will help us accomplish these three Biblical purposes. | 4/14/07 | Free | View In iTunes |

Strategic Service | It's the S-Word that church people often hate to talk about! That's right! SERVICE! Part of the reason FOF has grown as quickly and been so successful over the last three years is because dozens of volunteers, what we call unpaid servants, have asked the following question: “In light of what God has called us to accomplish corporately, what do you need me to do individually? I am here to partner with the rest of you strategically to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. I am here to help transform lives and serve Jesus Christ." Relevant Arenas | Jesus came to do three things: 1) Dwell with people. 2) Build a bridge relationally. 3) Turn on a light spiritually. As followers of Christ, God calls us to do the same three things. Both corporately as a church and individually as Christians what motivates us in life is seeing people make relational connections with God and other people and seeing the lights come on when they grasp a timeless truth of God for the first time. We seek to be a relevant church that does relevant ministry. For us, being relevant means taking what is timeless and communicating it to the current culture. Intentional Apprenticing | Jesus, at the very start of His ministry began to prepare the twelve apostles for his departure. Right from the beginning He began to pour what He knew into a few apprentices who would carry on the ministry after He was gone. He knew that ministry is not about success, ministry is about succession. As John Maxwell said, "There is no success without succession." We all need to pour what we have into someone else so that one day we can step back and watch them do what we used to do better than we used to do it. That's what intentional apprenticing is all about. | 3/10/07 | Free | View In iTunes |

That's what Relational Evangelism is all about: Zealously promoting the things that are important to us to the people we care about. We do it with movies, restaurants, cars and more. How much more important is it for Christians to share convictions of eternal significance with the people they love? Find out this week! | 3/3/07 | Free | View In iTunes |

AWESOME!
Pastor G does an amazing job at delivering biblical stories and lessons through current trends and hardships we face in the world today. Admittedly, this is the first church I've ever felt excited to go to every Sunday and look forward to every service. These podcasts make for a perfect companion on my car ride to and from work. Please give them a listen, I know you won't be sorry. God Bless!
